Red - You're not watching that "Demons" show are you? I bagged the first ep over the weekend because the concept of "the last of the Van Helsing line" seemed interesting, plus it stars Phillip Gleistener (or however you spell it, let's just call him Gene Hunt) and it has potential.
I loved the first season of Primeval, but was somewhat disapointed with the second season, and the second season had the same illness that most RTD DW eps have, great build up, terrible nonesencile rushed ending.
I havnt had a chance to catch Demons, Im sure I'll DL it at somepoint (ITV's catchup serivce only works on Intershite Explorer).original sin wrote:A lot of valid stuff about accepted media rascismn.
I have to say I agree, the MOBOs always bugged me for that reason (Music Of Black Origine awards), Imagien the upraw if there was ever a MOWOs...
However, I Have to say British TV has kinda managed to create a 'Blokes TV' station. Dave.
It's all very blokish shows, but by advertising it as for those who like Banter instead of those who are Blokes, it avoids any scorn.Jeep? wrote:Black Books

I far prefered the first season with Nick whatshisface. Paul Merton is ok, but he wasnt as good at it as the other guy, and the show's format wasnt isnt as good.Jeep? wrote:Little Britain

I liked it as a kid, wouldnt say I much care for it now. I prefered the old books (the origanal ones, not the ones with the photos from the tv show), I had loads of my dad's old ones, and mum used to buy another one in the series everytime we went to a steam railway.Burn wrote:And as someone with a 3 year old nephew who has been subjected to a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine I can safely say the early years with that Beatle bloke narrating absoloutely SUCKED!
Pompous, arrogant, straight up rude. His replacement is/was such a nice/r bloke.
Yes, but as someone who's got an interest in railways and therefore knows a thing or two about how they work, whilst the Ringo Starr ones were based on the origanal books, and had such had some relivence to how railways actully worked, the later ones were all completly new stories, writern by pencil pushers in Brit Alcroft towers, and as such were absolutly retarded.
Also, Thomas and the Magic Railroad?!? WTF?!?
