I program professionally and I can attest to the fact that professionally programmed dosen't always translate into better quality.

That said I don't program games, I write programs that work with databases for political campaign financing and the bottom line here is writing programs that work for the specific tasks that need to be done with the data. The programs I write arn't always the best and most efficient way to get the job done but they're coded such that they work.

Most of the programs here are reused over and over as we get new data in from clients to work on and the programs usually evolve over time to work better, bundling multiple programs together to reduce the amount of steps needed and finding more efficient ways of indexing data to run the programs faster. The nature of the business here is that getting a program that gets the job done is first priority since we're client oriented and need to get the jobs done for the client in a timely fashion.

For clients that have jobs for us on a regular basis we have very efficient programs that have evolved and been updated each time we did a job for the client since there's always more time to improve a working program for a client than there is to write that initial program that just gets the job done.

That being said, OS isn't on any set deadline for HMW2.0 so my assumption is that he and his staff now have a basic program that works and now can take as much time as necessary to debug and add additional features and improve processing time so that when they're ready to release it to the rest of the community its a program that they're pleased with. Also being that this is a hobby and not a job OS is more likely to go above and beyond what is necessary for the program to just "work" and will release a well thought out game. Even after release I'm sure there will still be tweaks and additions over time. I'm anticipating this project and wish the OS and the rest of the staff the best of luck.

Raphaelanator, sounds more like a Terminator cross :P . Leonardomus is pretty good, although he's a teacher's pet and can kiss Raph's shell for all i care :lol: . And i actually had Nightwatcher as one of my HMW characters before the reset.

Not 100% sure what you mean. Do i have other TMNT on my HMW team? No, not currently. Do i have any of these on display with the rest of my Transformers? Yes :lol:

On thread subject, will their be "player's guides" or "manuals" released with V2 so we're not walking in blind? V2 clearly requires a different way of thinking than V1, so will there be some basic explanations provided in regards to how to play, buy stats, etc.? I fully expect to experiment but I don't want to have to guess.

I've developed an actual help system that pops up details for items when you click on them. There will also be a help section to go over gameplay in depth. The current game has a huge shortcoming with help sections and FAQs and I intend to correct that.

I was in enough pain to barely be able to stand, considering I've been tasered five times in a row and stayed standing (funny story there...), it was a lot of pain.

i haven't been playing hmw much the last few months, and i randomly saw a the video teaser on the site, and all i have to say is i'm extremely excited for this and it all looks great so far. I can't wait for the new trailer monday! keep up the great work OS and anyone else who working on this!

I just spent over 16 hours yesterday playing this game ... yeah, I haven't power gamed like that for a while, but I couldn't stop, you know why? Because OS has got it to a point where you're achieving stuff in the game and I want to learn what there is to achieve!
And i'm probably going to do it again today too. I don't like you OS. I'd just started getting a life dammit!
