I may have been incorrect on two previous points. One is that instead of getting Portal 2 next weekend, I got it THIS weekend. The other is that it turned out I really DID want to complete the single player campaign first. Fortunately...

Portal 2:
BEATEN!I can't say anything about this game that hasn't already been said. Mostly the positive stuff, the negative stuff can go to hell. One thing I didn't like, though, was the dynamic background music. When Super Mario Galaxy did it, the music moved in direct relation to the action on screen and it was fantastic, but when Portal 2 does it, the music just starts, it practically comes out of nowhere, and it sounds kind of weird as a result. For instance, that weird background music when you're in an excursion tunnel. it's kind of nice and pretty at first, but after a while I wish it would just go away.

That said, a fantastic game otherwise. Just the music, and even then, just the BGM. The Turret Opera is really nice (Coming from a guy who doesn't like opera) and GLaDOS's song at the end (Again written by Jonathan Coulton) is, as always, spectacular.

Locust, if you want to do co-op I'm open literally all day tomorrow (Though since I'm posting this at 3:30AM my time, I would consider it a small miracle if I'm up before noon). I'm Melvin, the Lord of Darkness on Steam...it's in my sig, actually. It's been there for a while.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS)

GAME OVER BEATEN! You heard me right, I beat the game. Remind me never to go on game marathon-sessions when close to the ending of a game... But man is it epic! And Bowser did most of the work

*Ahem*, here are my final achievements:

- Star Rank for the Mario Bros., Gold Boss Rank for Bowser
- Found all Blitties, thus obtained Bloggy for Bowser's final special attack.
- Speaking of which, found every single Special Attack in the game

Now I'm free to play the prequel, Partners in Time. I already tried it out, and the controls are complicated, controlling 4 characters at once in battle. We'll see how this goes.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

Yeah, considering she wasn't particularly attractive in the first game. Kind of hard to tell both models are based on the same lady.

Incidentally we both happened to get rare shots of her where her eyes aren't really freaky. Which is weird Valve would have a character with freaky eyes, they're masters of facial animation after all.

I actually didn't mind her appearance last time. It wasn't delicious, but it was plausible, what with her being a lab rat test subject and all, so the gaunt cheeks, messy hair, and sunken eyes made sense. It doesn't make sense how she'd get all fapalicious this time around. Maybe some of those tests involved skin creams and collagen?

Champions Online [PC]:
Made a new character, this time modelled after Lilith from Borderlands. Naturally it's not perfect, but it's the best I can do with the pieces I had to work with. I'll put up a screenshot later. Just finished the tutorial section. On my way to unlock her quick-travel power. One of the Champions quick-travel powers makes the character temporarily turn invisible to others and, while invisible, they run really fast. That's the only reason I made a Lilith at all. Phasewalk all up in this mutha.

Locust, you are presently contemplating with gateways.

Duke Nukem Forever [PC]:
Replayed The Hive in order to find the dead space marine. Just need to find the Borderlands Psycho and I'll have the Buckethead Achievement.

Found all the Ego upgrades in the Duke Burger. At Duke Burger, Part 3, in the storage room after the game room.

Forsaken World [PC]:
Figured I'd give it a try since it's on Steam now, making it easy to get the client, and a friend of mine was looking forward to it. The female characters are quite unf-licious, but there is no option anywhere to flip the camera's Y-axis, so I can't play the game. There are many threads on their forums made by players asking for a solution, and the only official one is "use a third-party program."

The name makes a lot more sense now, eh? If they're too indifferent to put in a staple of gaming which many players need to be able to play at all, it really does not bode well for the game in any way, shape, or form. Why would they bother balancing stats, release patches, or make new content if they won't put in a feature that should be there to begin with? And there AREN'T third-party programs that will fix the issue anyway, especially if Forsaken World uses DirectInput. I spent days trying to find a way to get Beyond Good & Evil playable since there's no mouse-invert option in that game as well, found nothing, and gave up.

Promptly uninstalled Forsaken World, and from the looks of things, I'm not missing much.

Minecraft [PC]:
A buddy and I play GTA IV multiplayer together, usually a game mode we dubbed "Survival Mode," in which we start a private Free Mode server, use the whole city, gear up, and try to survive for as long as we can on 6-star Wanted level. It often gets pretty damn exciting.

So we decided to try something similar in Minecraft, which we've dubbed Kane & Lynchcraft: Odyssey to the North. Basically, it works like this. We started a new world and the only goal is to "get the f#&@ out of [there]," by moving to the north, using the clouds to guide us. During the day, we hunt for food and leather and get some resources we can use, but most of the game (day and night) consists of us pressing onward through the strange land.

Nights become the most exciting, because the game becomes combat-oriented. Fighting monsters with our swords and bows trying to escape and survive is a much different experience than the usual building-stuff-that's-awesome that we usually do. Wolves come in really handy. Kanenlynchcraft is not building-oriented at all, and when we do build stuff, it's just small temporary shelters (dubbed Safe Houses) so we can set up some tables, craft and cook, and make a chest to offload crap we don't need. Before we leave, we mark off Safe Houses with some flaming Netherrack for navigation purposes, not that we'd use them again, since we're pressing onward to the north.

Man, I write too much.

Whoops, forgot to mention that. What happens is we build beds in the Safe Houses, so when you die, you respawn at the last Safe House, giving you chance to resupply, make new weapons, etc. The other one picks up the dead guy's stuff and uses the teleport command to return to the Safe House. Then we start again, though we might take another route!

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy:
Imported my save data from the first game, so I get a lot of stuff already unlocked, as well as all of the original game's cast fully leveled, just like I left them. My summons didn't make it over, though.

-Lightning controls a bit wonky, I can't get the hang of her Paradigm Shift gimmick. Much like 13 itself, I just find I'm sticking her in the Commando role and leaving her there. Otherwise, she's actually a decent character. Not quite up to snuff with Cloud or Terra but still pretty good. And, also, hot.

-Vaan is pretty good, but I don't like how his attacks are weaker if you use the same one twice in a row.

-Yuna is a character I thought would never work in this game, but she works really well. Also, she's hot.

-It has just occurred to me I haven't seen Tifa's face yet. It's there, I know it is, but there's a certain feature or features just lower that always seems to steal my attention. I haven't had a good chance to use her against anything other than Exdeath, and fighting Exdeath is no good judge of a character's ability.

-Kain is a goddamn game breaker. One of his starting moves is highly accurate, and will deal constant damage until the target hits something. his other attacks are also pretty nice.

-Laguna is great. His machine gun deals very rapid damage while also letting him move.

-Gilgamesh and Prishe...I have not yet had a chance to use. Looking forward to both of them, though.

-Completed the first few chapters of story mode, I think Yuna's is next. Right now I'm working on one of the Reports; apparently Kuja from IX is a good guy this time around, and is basically responsible for everything good that's happened. Kefka has called him a Spoony Bard, a reference that surprisingly, has not lost it's flavor. Also I used the Exdeath+Magic Pot powerleveling trick on the new guys.

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy:
Beat the 012 storyline, and enough of the Reports that I was able to unlock Prishe and Gilgamesh. Both of them are awesome, by the way. Now I've unlocked the 013 storyline, that is, the original game's story mode with the World Map from this one. I've beaten the story modes for Cloud, Onion Knight, and Terra.

Also, Tifa has jiggle physics, which is unfair to everything else that appears in the game. Why even design anything else? You know where my eyes are going to get stuck!

Weapon: Black Magic
Eternal Darkness
After the black guardian, started Edward's chapter. Started off fairly mild with an invisible bloodsucking demon roaming my house attacking the servants. Took him out and then found an ancient city under my house that was full of giant magical bugs. Used the city's towers to form a 9-point RAID spell to clear them out. All's well until 48 years later, at which point Edward begins the reason Alex reached he mansion in the first place. Talk about holding grudge...

Duke Nukem Forever
Left the ladykiller casino and defeating a boss in a Vegas crater. On the way to Duke Dome.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Okay, two days. I'm allowed to double post now, right? RIGHT?!

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy:
Only three chapters left in 013 story mode, Zidane, Bartz, and Warrior of Light.

Dragon Age: Origins:
I bought this Saturday night and played for about an hour or so. I started playing again about 12:30 Sunday (In the afternoon, mind you) and only stopped playing about a half an hour ago. So I went on a 12 hour Dragon Age binge.

Bioware may use the exact same formula for all of it's games, (Starting area explodes, you go on a quest to find a certain number of things that you can find in any order you like, occasionally broken up by a story mission) but Goddamn if they don't know how to keep me interested.

Saved the Circle of the Magi, did an exorcism on a boy in Redcliffe, now working on saving the Arl of Redcliffe's life. Also, I went all the way with Morrigan, because just look at her.

Duke Nukem forever
Finished Duke dome, AKA the hive. oddly, I wasn't overly disturbed by this since I remembered a similar bit existed in DN3D. After putting down the queen, got a bonus level at Duke's pleasure palace (real location name not able to be mentioned in polite company).

Cleared 013, now I'm working on 000, aka The Mode That Hates You. My next target is a weakened copy of Feral Chaos; it's level 95, has nearly 60K HP (That's about 50K above the cap) and all of Chaos's cheap-ass moves. And it's only half as strong as the Feral Chaos at the end of this mode. Which is why this is The Mode That Hates You.

Not just a level of Duke3D, but areas all over the entire game. The Hive was the "crap just got real" moment that showed just what the invaders want to do with the captured humans. Remember, they don't just abduct people for kicks; they want to breed an army.

Also, that dream level was pretty effin' tame. I mean, you'd think a dream of Duke's would be much more X-rated. I would have preferred a crazy-ass Max Payne-style nightmare sequence in which Duke keeps his cool despite the crazy crap, or something. And Duke3D Red Light District music would have made the level so much better!

Duke Nukem Forever [PC]:
Off to off the Energy Leech. Reached Level 17 in multiplayer. I missed today's Community Dukematch because I was out with friends. Great; the ONE DAY I decide to go outside--

Unreal Tournament 3 [PC]:
Finished off the co-op campaign with a friend.

Gears of War [PC]:
Hadn't played it in months, so I decided to fire it up again. Then I remembered why I'd stopped playing: I was dating a girl whose nickname was Dom, and it ended less than favourably. So, all those times I messed up in-game and got the character called Dom killed WERE foreshadowing, after all.

Took out the Berserker, passed through the Stranted camp, looking for the vehicle. On my way to that area with the raft and the flyers, and those damned snipers.
