Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

I was going to get the Dragonhawk but I wanted to see what we would be getting from the POC line in terms of helicopters.

I'd like to see a repaint of the Dragonhawk.

I bought it because it was on clearance at TRU, and because I lurk this thread more than I let on and followed the link to 13374432123456(? You know who I mean)'s blog and read the review of it. So thanks, TK421!

It was on clearance at mine too, heck it's still up at Hasbro toy shop. Seeing as how we're getting the Skystriker I figured we just might get an official reissue of the Dragonfly. Heck, I'd love to see a mass produced version of the copter from the RHINO.

Nah, man, don't worry about it! The smiley was just supposed to "I like to feel like I've made a difference" sorta thing, only with more of an emphasis on geekness.

I just got done watching my G.I. Joe dvds yesterday with G.I. Joe the Movie and followed it with finally watching Resolute on Youtube. I forgot how hilarious Shipwreck is and would say he is now my favorite Joe, but Snake Eyes is a close second.

Who is everyone else's favorite Joe?

Clutch, the Joes' bearded Jewish greasemonkey mechanic, expert driver, and former street racing ladykiller from Jersey. Check out his filecard for more information. I'm such a Clutch fan that he's one of the main characters of the Joe photo-comic I make.

I never read any of the Joe comics, but Clutch was pretty cool in the "Worlds Without End" two-parter episodes.

First numbers is severely down playing his strip. Ages 25 and Up has done for Clutch what Simon Furman did for Bludgeon.

I loved Shipwreck in the toon as he reminded me of the character Bo Brady from the soap opera Days of our Lives but my favorite from the show is Low-Light. The episode that was centered around him and his sleep issues was phenomenal. In terms of toys for some reason I went for the guys with swords like Budo and V3 Snake Eyes. I was disappointed that the update to SE didn't have hands that could hold his weapons well. Funny enough I never had a Duke figure and only had Hawk and CC with those sound packs. I mostly used my Joes as wrestling figures as the articulation made it possible for them to do moves like the pile-driver and Boston Crab. FYI back in my day those were two of the most devastating moves you could do.

I have to agree with you about that episode. I wish they had done more with Low-Light after that episode and went more in-depth with his tragic childhood.

I was surprised that episode didn't make the best of the 80's DVD.

Finally got my copy of GI Joe: Cobra #13. There was a mistake at my shop and I didn't get my issue. In addition, every major store around me no longer had a copy! I was lucky to find a store that had it in stock.

Quite pleased how this ended the Chuckles trilogy.

Image

After Chuckles kills Cobra Commander, Chuckles captures Tomax in order to get more access of the island. However, Big Boa learns that Chuckles kills the Commander and attempts to stop him while Tomax runs away. Tomax informs the Baroness of Chuckles' betrayal. Chuckles kills Big Boa and heads for the submarine.

Inside the submarine, Chuckles discovers Xamot. Xamot believes Chuckles is the brother he never had and killed the sub captain to prevent escape. However, Chuckles never intended on escaping and detonates the sub's nuclear warheads, destroying the entire island. Baroness, Tomax, and other Cobra Command barely escape.

I knew it wouldn't end well for our characters. After all, it's patterned after noir, crime, espionage stories. But the ending is so satisfying. The series made me appreciate Chuckles and the Crimson Twins in a new way. Mike Costa, Christos Gage, and Antonio Fuso have found a way to make these characters relevant today.

I'm so excited for the new Cobra series and the upcoming Cobra Civil War.

I know I might sound crazy but one thing I've grown to dislike and almost hate is when characters are killed or a writer uses killing/death as a plot device especially in the comic medium. Very rarely do I find it works as well.

Sideshow Collectibles had a great Cobra Commander figure but it looks like they have a new one! Whereas the previous release was more based on Tim Bradstreet's Cobra Reborn design, this is a fairly more traditional 80's look.

While looking for some books, I found the GI Joe: Order of Battle paperback. I was about to drop $20 on this and I'm glad I found it for $5 at this show. It's very basic looking since it's just character profiles. But I'm glad to have it in my collection.
