I don't think we are getting Predacons and Maximals. I think its going back to Decepticons vs Autobots.

I can't remember why I think that, but I do :lol:

But I also like the idea of open alt choosing!

as to new characters, Burn; i've got 40 now! but just thinking about it has upped it now. Bastard.

Two points:

1) Why will we have enough for all 12 team members, does everyone have a problem making the money for the rest, or are we that serious about names? I can't see why it can't stay at €2,500 at the start.

2) I support the Maxi/Pred choice on the select allegiance screen, so long as that alone won't screw up the system more. We're aware that glitches with the four factions are common, but as long as an option won't harm the game I don't seee why not, it might also inspire some more mission logs to be written up by people.

Just my opinions on the matters.

No kidding. While I'll probably go Autobot again, putting them on the selection screen from the get-go would be a good start in balancing things out.

On a related topic, do we have any assurances this won't happen again? We've lost weeks or months at a time before, but now the whole thing is nuked. What measures are being taken that, in 3 or 4 years, we won't be back to square one again? I think it's finally time we hash out a decent backup system as a community.

If we're taking votes, I say the extra energon is good, open the alt roster, and keep the beast factions. Variety is good, and besides, I grew up with beast wars, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling (I can see the jokes now) to see them here, even if I do make a point of try to kill them. Not to mention it sucks that we would lose variety and gaming options because of a reset.

For most of us, I don't think it's a matter of names, sure some will want canon names, but not all will, I think its more everyone will want to get there teams back as they were as soon as. I know I do.

And I aslo agree with the Max/Pred being available at the allegiance declaring screen

Hmmm... If the beast factions stay, I'll stay a Maximal. If the beast factions go... I think I may strongly consider becoming a Decepticon.

well if you feel that way feel free to donate the rest of the energon to me when it starts back up, that way everyone can be happy.

Names are important, don't beleive me then change you're username to "Tammuz is my god"; alot of players have spent alot of time creating they're characters it's what makes the game so attractive the personal investment that goes into making a well developed character is rather anchoringto the game, i don't want to play the game, i want to play using "my guys" that's what makes it personal! some of have spent 5 years with the same characters, that's what the white lego tank thing is about, i created that character on my first day here, and he has grown since then into something quite deep, without him HMW just doesn't have the same appeal.

for the record i'm against the beast factions being seperate, it just doesn't work with out limited numbers.

To me its the way I play. I like mine to be very even and I did have 12. I don't care about the XP, or the Energon particularly. I would like to be able to recreate what I had though and not have them a head of others.

Well its the only one (that counts, no one counts the maximals) that he hasnt already been in!

Myself, I still intend to go back to con someday, but I think more than ever, if the preds are to continue, they need experianced players like myself.

Bio writing is a srs **** business HO. If I lose one name, people will die. The odds may be small, but I'd rather there wasn't any.

And surely we should get some compensation for the loss of everything? Just give us enough to build 12 tfs and piece, don't bother to include energon for weapons if you like. I'm happy to have 12 brawlers for a while, as long as I have my names.

it took me months to get to lv 2, oh well i guess i could just start again since i spend more away than on here before i decide to come back and was about 2 weeks before we could change factions.

i'm just glad that the game will be up and running again its the best news i have had all week. :lol:

I don't mind starting over, though it only took me a few months to reach nearly level 3. But I think that it'll be a hoot with everyone cramming into all the lower missions, there wont' be very many empty ones. I can't wait ^_^

And guys, face it, until OS can integrate the preds/max properly, this game works better as a 2 horse race, and those horses are tanks...

Beast Factions aren't coming back. There wasn't enough enthusiasm last time. It's sad I know, but now the Autobots and Decepticons will have a lot of new animal altmodes to pick from

See I think you're giving the beast factions a bum rap. Afterall, the only way you could join them was to sign up as another faction, get transfered, then get well and truly hacked off with the available missions for lvl 0s...

And if you werent a forum member, or not willing to take the crap at the arse end of the faction, you never joined. Im sure there were forum goers who simply didnt wanna apply to swap over too, who would have signed up to the beast factions were they available when they signed up.
