I think that this is the perfect time to keep the four factions. Starting from scratch may give people that wanted to join one of the other factions the opportunity to just start from ground zero with a new faction with the rest of the faction. Just my opinion but while the con in me wants to come out, I think I would like to stay a maximal. That midnight snack does sound so good tho'.

Yup. I'd be willing to wait a little longer if that's what it takes to keep them. I wasn't a Predacon or a Maximal, but they've become such a deep part of the game.
If it's a lack of missions, just create one mission for each Bot/Con mission until the Pred/Max factions have something like mirror mission-sets.
But I'm not sure of all the work it's going to take to get the game up AND put them in properly. I just think that if they're not done now, they'll never be done properly ever.

I think they should be kept. I also think, from a player balance perspective, the missions should be arranged to put Autobots and Maximals on one side and Decepticons and Predacons on the other. I've heard it mentioned that this is more difficult than it sounds programmatically, but still feel it's the best "have your cake and eat it too" scenario, at least short term. If it's found that the Maximals and Predacons have the numbers to support their own missions, than missions can slowly be added for them to enter without the parent factions.

Back when we had the subfactions there was extra code built in right? Why can't we have a "Cybertron" faction with Autobot and Maximal subfactions and "Destron" faction with Decepticon and Predacon subfactions?
