Transformers seem to rarely use weapons that dont come with their bodies, I think beast Wars was the only time they had to.

This game is about using our own transfromer fan chars in battle, restricting us to use pre-set weapons is an odd choice.


You just want a power ring :P

New ideas based on the existing post I made:

Strength: Increase attack strengh (hand-to-hand and melee attacks), allow to wear more armour. Allow certain melee weapons to be unlocked (big, heavy ones, like a Vibro Axe).
Intelligence: Higher chance for critical hits to occur, Better tactical decisions made (greater chance to attack key target or use a tactic when preferred), chance to unlock better guns (technical ones, like an Electric Cannon).
Speed: Increases dodge ratio (unrelated to Avoid tactic), allows for hits to be landed faster (greater general hit ratio).
Endurance: Lowers the amount of damage received (thorugh both normal and tactic attacks), greater chance for enemy to be stunned after their attack.
Rank: Ability to wear better armour, Increases courage of allied bots (by, for example, 1/2 a point).
Courage: Increases combo attacks (more hits in the space of a few seconds (for example, five attacks within 10 seconds for high courage)), less likely to retreat (unless very low on energy (also assuming retreat occurs one bot at a time)).
Firepower: Wield better guns (basic ones, like an Energon Crossbow), improve accuracy of guns.
Skill: Wield better melee weapons (exotic weapons, like Battle Blades), allows greater combination of normal and tactic attacks (more likely to follow a tactic with an attack).

There are some flaws to this, so again, any critisism is appreciated.

On top of all that:

Armour: Reduces the amount of damage recieved, and increases the chance of enemy attack stun (see Endurance), based on armour class (Iron would be more effective than Aluminium), however, armour can passively reduce bot speed respective to armour type (i.e, Aluminium will slow down a bot less than Iron would), also, high intelligence bots have a greater chance of exploiting the weak spots on the armour (more likely to negate the armour bonus through critical hits).
Dual-wielding: Allows you to wield two weapons at a time, but is restricted to points in the given skill(s) (3 FRP will allow you to wield a laser rifle and a Dol, but not two Dols), also, accuracy is reduced by 75% for guns. Dual-melee weapons have a higher hit frequency than one weapon (like Courage), but overall damage is slashed by 75%
Tactics: Courage will NOT allow tactics to be used more than once in a combo attack (see Courage), although multiple tactics CAN be used in a combo attack.

If there's anything else I think of I'll add it later.

i belive that maybe we should not just have maximals v deceptacons or autobots vs maximal missions but missions where there are deceptacons v autobots v predacons or even the autobots and maximals v the predacons and decepticons
there for there would be more variaty in the missons

Call this ambitious (or stupid, it's up to you), but what about uneven missions i.e, 1 Decepticon against 2 or 3 Autobots, the key being that the Con in question be at lvl 2 or 3, and the Bots are at lvl 0.

Like the Quint missions in effect, but for general use.

As I mentioned before, it's my humble opinion that Skill should be the primary factor in improving weapon accuracy. Weapons are only as good as the person wielding them. I think OS has stated that is his plan.

I think I suggested this before and was told that it's a "backburner" project until OS can fix the issues with the weapons. I would also suggest that the *total* number of weapons be fixed, so that we don't have a bot running around with 10FRP wielding ten disruptor rifles or such; I think as low as 3 to as high as 5 would be appropriate.

When putting your guys in the arena, rather than having a Fight! button, have it say how many people are available to fight you, like so: Fight! (2). That way you know there are two of that particular level available to fight. Just so you can plan your fights better without having to glance down at the list of waiters.

sounds good to me,would bring a certain flavor to the game as far as picking your alts for said missions,but the water only may have to be fought on another planet.

keep the ideas coming, after re-reading this whole thread some good ideas have been posted :-?

You don't want one of those. Matrixes are weak. And you die for it every other season. :P What you want is a molecuallraly condensed Dark Matter Proton Universe powering it.

been there, did that. I believe Glyph did so. Teh quints it was good to earn minicons. But generally, the higher levels still did the skunking, it wasn't worth it.

i never really thought the Rust Sea would be that huge to allow a battleship/sub group to slug it out with room to spare,but i only recall seeing it one time,not sure if it was that big,been some time.

Right, I just had a though for everyone who's sick of being outnumbered in missions, why not have some that only begin when all of the mission slots are filled (like siege themed missions). Although it may lead to some people aving to wait ages for the mission to start it does provide an alternate solution.

I dont see why there wouldnt be any 'water' in Cybertron.

'TF/GI Joe: Art of war' showed it as a pretty massive ocean that the Seacons lived in and according to the Hound TF mosiac in the back of Devastation #2; Cybertron has rain so there must be an expanse of something to generate the clouds...
