u forgot courage, speed and courage needs to go more or less together, if not, speed will make u dodge, avoid, but u wont attack that often, with cou u will attack more often, although doesnt guarantee u will hit the target, therefore combine speed and courage is more helpful

On the other hand, a strafer can be is better used as an XP generator (as Phaze well knows).

Aim for high Courage and Strafe with medium Speed and Strength, plus an FP 2 weapon and then throw him suicidally into any match where he is outnumbered and (even better) outlevelled. He will get his arse kicked, but when he explodes in to a mad strafer frenzy he has a far better change of hitting jackpot - anyone of level 5+ will payout brilliantly.
The cost is an hours CR time plus the energon cost, its rare for them to come back alive.

Hmm, it seems someone found me once again. I wonder if he has seen my latest incarnation of my team. The problem is that they still suck so I may not be much of a challenge for him but I'm also one of the few in this thread that can face him without a complete humilination.

Here is a question that I'm not sure how to answer. What do we do for those whose exp seems to be on the extremely high side for your level? I faced some L3 that are 1,000,000+ on the exp. There are probably those in the lower levels who face similar circumstances. Is there any set up that could go against something like that? Any help from the higher ups would be most appreciated.

On a different note, if you all want to start rivalaries in here, go right ahead. Good OLD Edge and I were rivals before I left and for whatever the strange reason he wants me to be his rival again. I won't care if you smack talk some as long as it doesn't get out of hand. In fact, I'm willing to put out a bounty on any of Colina's mechs. She is in Edge's sig.

Level 3 has 31 upgrades, no matter what they are its only 31. If you had 5 mil XP you could have a level 3, but its still 31 upgrades. I can see where it would be rough going against them, really though if they aren't action masters (really expencive) then they are probably only hurting themselves by not leveling up. I can see that in my own Frenzy He only needs like 25K or so for level 4. If I had to make a set up to beat him I would use a lot of avoid. Save getting hit a few times for hitting him instead. Ram would probably work well. If stun is still functioning.

Hey everyone. I recently bumped all of my guys up to level 1. I'm going for some team diversity. What do you think?

You're on the wrong team to begin with.
They seem pretty good. Give it a week, and if you energon ammount is still going up its a good sign, then you can begin to dissect your idividual troops for performance.
It'll be no time before you are level 2!

Sumo, i tend to use this flow chart, to work out what 'con to put against a specific type of 'bot. Its pretty successful most of the time...

Arena or Avoiders > Action Masters > Strafers*

in a >6x6 mission
Avoiders > Cassettes > Rammers > Strafers*

*Strafers are best used when outnumbered and out levelled but tend to get handed their own arses in a 1 on 1 at our level.

Fire Fright should go weaponless with his setup. At 3 strength you'll do more damage with melee attacks then an X-ray laser shot and you have a Null ray on him. Also unless Stratus Flare's setup is working out for you I'd consider a reset and putting the Endurance into something else (it's not really important to have endurance at our levels until around level 2 or 3)if those are alts from the last rotation you can't reset because you will lose them. In that case just make FF unarmed. SF seemed to be doing well. The rest of your team seems to be well done.

Thanks Psych and Goribus. I did have FF weaponless for a couple arena bouts but I probably didn't give him much of a chance. As far as SF I'd like ot reset but I don't want to lose the Alt mode. Oh well, maybe the end will become useful later on.

Thanks again! :PEACE:

i think what u should do is invest more in cou and do not upgrade end for a while, besides only 5str can make more damage than an xray ;)

3 Str does more damage then an X-ray. Xray's do between 10-15% damage a hit on average. Not counting strength boosts or armor/endurance modifiers. Dols do 20-25% damage a hit. So I think you're thinking of a Dol. :P

I'm thinking of tinkering with Hardhead's config, possibly reducing strength and increasing courage.

Any thoughts guys? :???:

How about instead of endurance having 1 rank and upgrading the armour to ceramic?

Glyph wrote:Armour only protects against non-tactic attacks - I know, it's a silly system and I thought I'd fixed it, but apparently that change got rolled back way back in the game's development and I didn't realise until recently. Endurance protects against both tactic and non-tactic attacks.

However, END is less effective against non-tactic attacks than it is against tactics, and armour can reduce damage more than END can - the most END can do on its own is to halve the incoming damage, but the armour modifier is applied in addition to that. Enough of the right type of armour can (currently) reduce even the most powerful weapon attack by 80%, before END is even taken into consideration.

As much as i hate to give advice to an autobot...

Dropping his Strength means opening him up to a whole world of stunny goodness as soon as he gets rammed by another tank, and also means a drop in armour.
You may not act as often but you do more damage and have the ability resist more so it should balance.
Keep the strength I think.

if u r slower than ur attacker, u will get rammed ;), so try to be faster than him, endurance helps to reduce ram effects therefore upgrades in endurance helps too
