Yeah, that kinda bugged me too. To make matters worse, Kingsley sort of overdid is with the comedy thing. Granted, the character's a doped up has-been theater ham, I just kept thinking, "
this is the Mandarin?"
Then again, seeing as it's a joint venture with the Chinese, making the main villain in the movie of Chinese descent might not go over too well with investors. Kind of like how GM and various other sponsors in the TF franchise insist that their cars are depicted as mostly good guys, and that they all look showroom shiny, despite the fact that the bot modes are all battered up.
