Last word on this matter, I am open to a discussion regarding the use of spoiler tags, but I'll leave it up to someone else to kick off a thread about it and let a few people throw their thoughts in first.

Apparent Easter Eggs. Some were obvious.

Spoiler tags aren't needed.... well then.. I'm not going to argue against Burn.
See y'all after Saturday, actually make that Sunday, give me time to watch this weeks AOS after watching AOU.

Does anyone else feel like Agents of SHIELD has been really lacking lately?
I feel as though it's so disconnected from the rest of the MCU. And I know they want to make everything able to stand on it's own, like how the different franchises mostly work as standalone films and not Avengers lead-ups, but SHIELD is supposed to be everywhere. I want more than a passing reference to the other things going on.
And better villains. We keep getting super obscure people, plus this Lucas fellow - the Robert Pattinson lookalike, who Skye has the hots for. And I get that this is a great avenue to get smaller time players some exposure, but how about more AIM, or Roxxon Corp, or MODOK, or MADAME FREAKING HYDRA BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN FIGHTING HYDRA ALMOST THE WHOLE SERIES or maybe the Wrecking Crew? Throw us a bone.
Like when they had Absorbing Man on the show a few weeks ago. Kind of a dumb character that they took and made pretty fun to watch.

Yeah, I feel the same way, and after seeing AoU I felt this way even more so, primarily because the AOS tie-in episode aired a week later to coincide with the US release.
And that was Theta Protocol? I was hoping for something more interesting.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Ya know I was going to post about how next week's SHIELD Season Finale probably wasn't going to make up for the season. Hard to believe, but I think it's actually hem hawed around more than Season 1!! And while Agent Carter was a novel diversion, it too could have benefited from having more stuff actually happen, or maybe if it cut out about two episodes worth of fluff and been a six-part show.
And the Marvel references have been practically nonexistent recently(at least nothing on the level of Bessy the Vampire cow). Seriously, I thought the Star Wars bed sheets and Agent Koenig(spelling?, lanyard guy) was a highlight of the episode. The show needs more Koenig.
And I guess Deathlok's gone again, wasn't even mentioned, unless he's going to be the one to save Mockingbird, which I would like to see.
Red haired girl that was watching Reina? I was really, REALLY hoping it would be Medusa, but no. Actually, if the fight escalates to a stalemate and Blackbolt appears to end it, THAT would almost save the season.
Rumor has it that there's going to be a spin off show about Hunter and Mockingbird or a Ms. Marvel show, which sounds way more interesting than what we have now. A show based on a comic book using actual comic book characters??? Like that would ever work....
Also, about Age of Ultron(SPOILER forthcoming, anyone reading's been warned):
They could totally bring Quicksilver back if they used the show's mythology. They know the Kree exist, and I think they were on decent terms with the one that left, so just borrow some of his blood and whip up a batch of that GH-429 was it? and revive him. Being a descendant of the Inhumans means he should be immune to the side effects.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter join Daredevil in getting themselves another season.
Hopefuly AoS has more of a tie-in to Civil War than it did with AoU.
Speaking of Civil War ... it was also announced that The Avengers 2.0 (Cap, Widow, War Machine, Falcon and Scarlet Witch) will also be making an appearance.

I hope they give SHIELD more of a presence in the films again. It would be a good dynamic I think if, during Cap 3, the continued existence of SHIELD is revealed, giving Rogers more reasons to not totally trust Fury and other government types.

I saw Age of Ultron yesterday, and I've got to say I was disappointed. My biggest issue is that Ultron was a pretty lame villain. I was expecting a cold emotionless omnipresent force driven only by logic. Instead they made him a child with daddy issues. Scarlet Witch was a far bigger threat, and she was one of his sidekicks. All he did was make boneheaded mistakes like not scattering a few of his drones to insure his survival after Vision cut off his internet access. And trying to sneak away from from a lab in a truck that had the name of the lab literally written all over it.

From everything I've been reading, including interviews, it sounds like studio execs were doing their level best to screw this movie up.

How so? I don't recall seeing anything out of the ordinary. And why would they potentially want to lose money?

just because you didnt see it, dont assume he did nothing to insure his survival.

On a related note, I remember reading an interview of Mickey Rourke on his character as Ivan Vanko in IM2. He tried to elevate the character above being just a stereotypical Russian bad guy, but the higher ups rejected his every suggestion, resulting in a cardboard cutout villain. It drove him up the wall. And apparently, he even paid for the parrot himself, which was the only embellishment to the character that they allowed.
Memory's a little hazy, so some details might be wrong.

Neither a parrot nor a cuckatoo was it, for he specifically called the creature a bhorrd.

Correction: the proper Slavic pronunciation is, "bordt." It's not a proper Russian word unless you over-pronounce your "l's" and jam at least 2 consonants into the end of a word.
So says Nico Bellic

But did he explicitly destroy the Ultron Program? For all we know, based on the flash of light, he could've teleported it somewhere in space where he could be resurrected or something. Vision did say he didn't want to destroy Ultron.

Ultron can hide his program just about anywhere....your I-pad for example.
Heck, Ultron could have hidden his program in the Vision, think about it, its not like we saw that final shot.

Following this train of thought, I don't believe that Arnim Zola is dead. He appeared in the stinger of Agent Carter, so they must have plans for the character. Besides, Zola easily could have uploaded himself to the internet. This has been discussed elsewhere I'm sure but I don't think in this thread.
