Who cares about a good soundtrack to a crappy movie (spiderman 3 and transformers both)
If transformers movie would have been good, I wouldn't have cared if the soundtrack was done by Styx and the title song was Mr Roboto
Well Spider-man in my eyes was a good movie and Transformers has many negative points but still a good movie besides if I should directed this movie I think it would gotten be worse but I'me very happy that Gay don't direct the second movie.
The design wasn't that bad at all just Ironhide looks great and allmost all Decepticons accept Starscream were great I just hope that the new Director will show Prime more with his Faceplate and not those aweful lips.

Paramount and Hasbro are still running the show and aren't going to go back to the drawing board for all of the established characters. But it's be nice to see more of them and some good new characters. And hopefully, there won't be so much bad humor and shakey camera work.
Don't get me wrong though, I did like this first movie for what it was and thought MB did a decent job. It could have been much, much worse.
Though I was never really crazy about the character designs, I would have completely overlooked them to the point where they were a non-issue if there was a well thought out plot, more character development and better story telling, less bad\tasteless humor and if there wasn't an overall feeling like most scenes and ideas was taken from other movies (MIB, ET)

Why would paramount want to deny the majority of people who have switched up to HD content.
I for one, want this overturned so I can have my TF on Blu Ray

Oh really I read that the porn industry had chosen the HD-DVD because they are much cheaper in the production as the Blu-ray, do they chose their mind ? Not that I care of it but it suprised me on a point cause I read it on a magazine not so long ago.
@syphonn
True, but redesign all characters I don't really think it's necessary but what I don't have in the second movie that for sure are the dump tasteless humor.

Like I said earlier "Money Talks", so lets give it sometime to see how it pans out, if Paramount really wants him they will do what it takes. If not then we'll see what the end result will be.

Dude serious quit with the Micheal Gay ****, its just makes you look petty and immature.
Why do you think a lot of movie people dont respect message boards and Fanboy bullshit, because of posts like this and attitudes that people have because someone is doing something different with your presious hobby that you dont nessesarily approve of. It's old and stupid.
If Bay does number 2 more power to him, if not then I hope whoever does it can at least match the style and not make it look like direct to dvd crap.

Will they make a Transformers DVD for those who have regular one. Not everybody has HD-DVD.
Yes, there will be a regular DVD. This is just in regards to the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray battle. We're a long ways away from them abandoning regular DVDs.
I dunno about that. I heard in a couple years from now everything on television will be broadcasted in high definition.

True, and even it's hurts me I will do it for now Micheal Bay, but I like the sound you know what because it's completely simple, and Bay wasn't become you know what because the movie specifically just because I think it's more fun like that.
That like all the Scary Movie films, are they immature ehhhh, I don't think so.

The "stupid mountaindewtron" as you call it was better thought out than the little nokia bot with a bazooka and chaingun. At least the mountain dew machine used items it had within itself for ammo.
I want to see someone offer you lots of money for a crosspromotion and then you walk away. I would give my cousins left t****cle to see that. (I really don't think you would though). So let keep calling Bay a moneybitch because he gets paid for his chosen profession, so unless you are unemployed then we could in essence call you a moneybitch for not working for free.
I'm not a bay hater, nor a sympathiser. I'm just tired of people whining about so called crappy decisions that they would most likely have made if the same choises were given to them.

Erm, whatever happened to making a good film? Yes, you can do all the cross-promotion you want....but don't let that now dictate the ENTIRE film. As many people have said, the movie was one of the worst and most blatant product placement films out there.
Bay is not a film director, he just knows how to make money...NOT GOOD FILMS! Get him out and get someone who cares about the filmmaking process in there.

You say it that why I don't like Bay and that why he got the name I named him.

Oh Conceptron, I bet you screamed with glee when you read this. If I recall correctly werent we submitted to 3 seasons of cross promotion? That equals out to alot more than 2.5 hours. "Making a good film" is a very subjective term. What you think is a good movie and what I may think are 2 different things. In my eyes and in the eyes of alot of the people that paid to see the movie multiple times he did make a good movie. While there are those that will say it sucked thats there choice aswell but it does not make there idea of a good movie better than mine.
And forgive me if I am wrong but don't alot of people choose their career path because its something they can make money doing?

I didn't know all the profit (or a large margin of it) went directly to the director =\
Come on, he's not doing this for his money. He just gets his payment, may be something extra if the film's done a good job at the box office. The real profit is for the studio to spend on new movies.
