I'm sure someone asked that (can't remember if it was earlier in this thread or on another site) and there was no response, so maybe no one really knows...megatronus wrote:Also - just noticed that the promo shots say "MBC002."
Anyone know what MBC001 was?

One of the universe's (not-so) great mysteries, I suppose...

Microblaze might do a Two part set like FP did for the Combaticons.
Microblaze might designated a different ending number for each color variation they release.

I'm not sure I understand how skepticism over an Onslaught update translates into verification of a less detailed add-on kit... it's not like X-Transbots/Echo is "starting from scratch."
I mean, it's like saying the FP Superion kit is better than the FP Colossus set.

The looks of the four limbs are in the eyes of the beholder. Granted they aren't great and most don't like them (personally I do like them), but this set is about Bruticus. Making them look good combined is the focus, and this dose that perfectly, which is something the other kit can't do.Rated X wrote:I’m basically saying you’re going to have an Onslaught that looks like a million bucks while your other four Combaticons look like s**t. The echo kit does the job fine without outshining the original Hasbro products. On the other hand, the detail that went into FP Munitioner and Explorer had many fans calling for a new Brawl, Vortex, and Onslaught to replace the Hasbro limbs altogether.

X, I see where you're coming from, but I agree with Arctorro that the Microblaze set does a better job of making Bruticus look good, which is the point of both the MBC and X-Transbots sets.
I personally think the limbs look better in this case than with the ROTF Bruticus, so it's less of an issue for me. I think Blastoff is the standout here, Swindle is pretty good (and the MBC kit gives him a new chest or something to make him more game accurate), Vortex is OK... Brawl is probably the only one I dislike.
While I don't see them as weak, gotta agree about Swindle and Brawl, but I still like emRated X wrote:megatronus wrote:Arctorro wrote:The looks of the four limbs are in the eyes of the beholder. It's that the Hasbro figures are all weak in my personal opinion. Swindle is too tall and very hollow. Brawl is to scrawny looking for his "tough guy" persona and can barely stand up with out falling down. Vortex isnt that bad but the video game colors will always be contraversial. Blast off is the best one of the four.

Ah, yeah, okay. I never considered Vortex as a leg. That's just weird!
