I feel like the confusion about which product you prefer is part of the business strategy with all of these repaints. Somewhere in these, if you mix and match parts, is the perfect versions of each of these molds. Curious to see what people come up with.

Agreed. >:oP

Someone may have said it, but the one coming with FOC Grimlock is the DotM DELUXE mold.
Personally, if you dont own either Classic Prime nor AoE Evasion Prime, the box set countaining both is a no brainer. There's no point otherwise.

The one with the DOTM deluxe Prime is a Target exclusive all in white and I'm ALL over that.

I'm trying to decide between the Platinum set with AOE Grimlick and Evasion Prime and this Classics set

ya mean to tell me, that those listings of the suppose 'cyberverse' line turns out this be this? this dino sparkers CRAP?! So the one line i've collected is being canned for sparkers and fast action battlers. way to **** me in the ass hasbro...

i mean, i would hope we still get generations legends! hell, that minicon assault team deluxe was great for my collection. i actually hope hasbro makes more of those!

i hope cyberverse will return again, or atleast make a re-vision/remake of the micro masters line! i demand and desire small transformers damnit! with playsets, and bases!

knowing cyberverse and legends/legions wont make it to the movie retail market really makes want to :BOOM:

I'm sooooooo glad someone feels the same way as I do! I've been a long time Legion/Legend/Cyberverse collector since back in the Armada line and now Hasbro has left us in the cold.

Yeah, it's pretty obviously Hasbro playing up the details of the original toy instead of the original animation model. The odd paint apps on the knees and toes. The clear, colorless windows, the chromed thighs. If you prefer your Classics figures to be G1 toy accurate, this one can't be beat, but I prefer "screen" accurate, so Henkei Optimus Prime still wins the day for me.

they almost got it!!! I don't understand why is that hard to get it done the right colors...

-in general that blue and yellow colors are a bit off.
-flames out
-elbow sigil
-aside head and hands no blue on upper torso.
-white stripes on wrists and elbows.
-blue feet

I did a quick photoshop of what I am talking/wishing about...

It is kind of an odd photo of me, I suppose... Taken years ago during my brief flirtation with the idea of facial hair. I ended up deciding it didn't really work on me. But I didn't have handy (and already online!) any other good solo picks of me in a Boy Scout uniform.

Why are people complaining about a Movieverse figure finally having a Movieverse-based deco when we've already got three options for a G1-based deco version of it to pick from?

Honestly, out of all of the known Evasion Mode OP figures we've seen thus far, it's this one that I'm leaning towards the most since it's the only one that bares any remote resemblance to Optimus's deco in the movie, instead of pretending to be something it's not.

Yeah, I guessing he got the yellowing from the evening toned color tint of the box art.

Consider this rust AOE Optimus at sunset. Or in a tropical climate at sunset. :P

Actually no. It's not life. It's a fictional story turned into a movie based on children's toys. Go take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself "I really do need anger management if my panties are getting so bunched up over children's toys and a movie"

Ya'll wanna see something funny?

On the side of the Strafe Evolution 2-Pack's packaging is some box art for the "classic" version of the character. One would think this would either be new art for the repackaged, repurposed DOTM Rav figure, or simply some recycled art of G1 Swoop. It's neither.

Behold:
