100% this. It’s so disappointing that they’re rereleasing a figure that wasn’t great even for its time and is nowhere near Studio Series standard. It’s such a cool design too. . .

Yes, and numbering systems too.
Guilty as charged, damn OCD...

It's part of the fun. The numbers were what inspired my to start collecting Alternators, a line I otherwise would have had no interest in, even though the real-world designs were awesome.
I don't collect SS at all, but I love following the numbers. Of course, they could just take them all away, as many other TF toy series never had numbers; problem solved. If numbers aren't important, then why feature them prominently on the package is all I'm asking?

It all originated with Popy's and later Bandai's Chogokin line, so if you're looking for someone to blame for all this, they're the ones

With Cliff adding to the precedent that SS86 rereleases of WFC characters will be the same molds with new stuff, those 86 Arcee and Ironhide listings are lookin' extra sus.
There were already suspicions and rumors that SS86 Arcee would just be ER Arcee with new paint, I feel like this not only confirms that but also makes it likely that Ironhide won't be a new mold either, despite what some people are speculating.Wolfman Jake wrote:What, per se, do you think is suspect now about the SS86 listings for Ironhide and Arcee?

What I find really weird is that SS86 Arcee appears to possibly getting both a Buzzworthy packaging release and a regular SS86 release based on the retail assortments that were leaked.
Meanwhile my closest Target still has 2 Kingdom Arcees peg warming since June. That should be fun with 2 more potential releases of her in the future.

Wolfman Jake wrote:The back of Cliffjumper’s box shows the figure without the clear blue plastic windows painted, interestingly enough.

Do we know for certain Cliff is also getting an SS86 release? Not currently, no, but considering so far only 1 of the other 12 SS figures getting released in this Bee line is completely exclusive to this line so far, it feels like a safer bet to make than not.william-james88 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:With Cliff adding to the precedent that SS86 rereleases of WFC characters will be the same molds with new stuff, those 86 Arcee and Ironhide listings are lookin' extra sus.
I'm confused, how is it adding precedent if this is for the Bumblebee line and not the actual Studio Series line? Do we know cliff is coming to the SS line too?
