OK, so transform the torso only halfway before you do the legs, really helps.

The leg that becomes the front of the copter, keep the hips on that one oriented as they are for robot mode.

For the leg that becomes the middle of the copter, rotate the entire thing at the hip 180 degrees, then fold the leg in and close the flap. Then finish pushing the legs into place and clamp the top of the robot/copter into place

Thanks man, I will try that out!

You'll know you did it right when the trapezoidal hip parts are exactly opposite one another, one slanting down, one slanting up.

Gave him to my son. I was using Hotlink as a substitute Skywarp, but finally got the real one this month.
Maybe I'll pick him up again if the price drops.

Springer is on Amazon for a couple of bucks below MSRP, is he worth getting? I don't really have a lot of attachment to his character, neither G1 nor IDW, but he would go with Impactor and Rotorstorm. I've just head a lot of complaints about the tabs on his thighs and with all the figures I already have ordered I don't need one that is gonna break.

Buy or not?

I would put him as an okay figure. The tabs on my first one broke during the first transformation, but I was also doing part wrong. Returned it and my second one is just fine.

The biggest problem I had on both of mine are weak/loose ankles.

I'd see if you can find him for a better deal at TJ Maxx/Marshals/Ross if you want to try him out.

Personally, Siege Springer is fine. Not bad, not great. If he's like $10-20, I'd say it's a good price, but I think weak ankles is a common issue. I enjoy the figure, but he's definitely not Siege Prime or Seeker quality, probably closer to Megatron and (to some) Apeface

Yeah, he's $27.99 so I think I'll hold off for now. Thanks!

New preorders at TakaraTomy Mall for Siege toys that have yet to see release in Japan:

SG-EX Acid Storm & Ion Storm & Nova Storm
SG-EX Soundblaster
SG-EX Set

All three are TTM exclusives. The SG-EX set is just a bundle of the first two.

Of note is that Soundblaster is actually a bit different from the Hasbro version. Most notably, he has the Mercenary symbol like in the cartoon instead of a Decepticon symbol. He also has less "window crack" details on his chest window.

Though, despite the appearance of Laserbeak in Soundblaster's pics, he is not included. He is just there for show.

Hooray for Japan.

Meanwhile, anyone not have Shockwave yet? Just hit your local Target, I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of him! For full price of course, because they can't mark him down in the computer without marking down ER Leaders, and they can't be arsed to slap markdown stickers on him.

Honestly, I'd have got him, but I only had so much spare spending cash for the trip and Snapdragon was higher priority.

Fair point. Most of my brainpower in that post was devoted to talking about Shockwave being the new Mudflap (which makes me sad because I like SIEGE Shocky's design). When I went to Target to look for Snapdragon, there were four SIEGE Shockwaves on the shelf.

With any luck, the appearance of Shockwave's Siege body and armor in the Generations Selects manga will get more people to buy him off of the store shelves.

Yeah, Hasbro dropped the ball there. Personally I love that Shockwave and don't care about Galaxy Prime, but I'm just 1 fan. If they had released more of Galaxy Prime in subsequent waves, he would have sold better. Most fans love that update.

The problem with Clearance is they'd have to take the trouble of using stickers, since all non-SS Generations Leaders are the same to the computer  (a good example of this is a lingering Combiner Wars Skywarp ending up marked up to the PotP Leader price).

I really hope they do take that effort, since Shockwave filling up the shelves holds back Earthrise Leaders getting put out (meaning poor Astrotrain gets doubly shafted)... :BANG_HEAD:

Siege Shockie is bad, especially at Target, but Siege Megs takes the cake for me.

At Walmart yesterday, all 3 flavors of Siege megs on the shelf at once.

Myself and several others have had that experience. You just have to laugh when you see it. The worst for me are damaged packages, that they try to tape up *hoping" they will sell. There is a Siege mangled Hound that's been sitting there for at least 6 months, I keep moving it to the front of whatever peg it's on. I think I'm just going to write a note on a post-it and tell them to get rid of it. Having worked at retail previously I know they have a return category for damaged goods. There's a Netflix Siege Hotlink that is the same. The package is not as bad, but with the tape all over it, nobody's going to buy it.
