Have you forgotten that the war escalated to other worlds? The reason we've only seen these few bots in this show is becuase they're currently the only ones present on Earth (which is where the show takes place). Everyone else involved in this war is presumably fighting the war on all the other worlds.

Given the threat the Cons posed in both WFC and Exodus, the danger on Earth seems quite minimal compared to what must be going on elsewhere, which is why there isn't much need for backup for either side.

If we're not going to get Shockwave can the creators try and find a way to make Jack & Miko useful. And the reason Why I keep suggesting Shockwave is....well he seems to be the Decepticon deus ex machina in almost every other continuity. In Dreamwave he was practically Kamen rider Decade. Don't remember alot of him from energon aside from being chained up someone fill me in on him. in Animated he was again like Dreamwave but had a lasting effect. And now he's got something planned in DOTM

They've been helping out with the Autobots. They've probably done more for the team than half the Autobots. Especially Ratchet.

The key characters being Jack & Miko. Raf so far is the only one useful what with him hacking just about everything same goes for Fowler because he's more hardcore then movie Prime (seriously the guy goes around flying in a jet in just his work suit that plus he's a Ghostbuster). But the point is I have yet to see how the other two are proven useful. Oh sure Miki took a picture of the Decepticons plan during Darkness rising but outside of that nothing she solely there to piss me off with everything that comes out her mouth. And I have yet to see Jack do anything but be blander then Terrorcon #77. He has yet to do anything useful with his time with the autobots preview say he'd be important and I have yet to see it.

I've gotta say, that makes a lot of sense. Let's just hope the creators are thinking as creatively as you are.

Did you miss Deus Ex Machina? All three humans stole the Energon Harvester. Mind you, the Autobots didn't, they were running lookout. It was the humans who actually stole it...well, them and Soundwave. There's also Jack and Miko defending the train carrying the Dingus against MECH.

well yes I missed Deus ex. And I wouldn't put "Defend" with Miko yells at perfectinal terrorist with while Jack holds a fire extinguisher and then both proceeds to write their wills when the Kurgen blow up the tracks. god I never liked that episode proving Prime sucks at both being a leader and fighting.

Prime Knockout's Appearance Based On Beast Wars Terrorsaur?

Postby psj333 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 12:54 pm

When Knockout made his cartoon debut in the episode called, "Deus Ex Machina", his vehicle mode strongly resembles a modern version of a 1971 Dodge Charger coupe. In addition, I have also heard that Knockout's robot mode and color schemes are actually based on a Beast Wars Terrorsaur. With that said, is this information really true to prove that Knockout's appearance is related to the Beast Wars Terrorsaur, or isn't he? :CON:

Yeah, having a similar color scheme does not mean the two designs are related. Because Cliffjumper had a similar color scheme and design as well.

inb4 he attempts to connect Cliffjumper with Knockout.

Thanks for your reply, Shadowman. However, I somewhat disagree with some of your points that you have made earlier. You said that Cliffjumper had simiar design and color scheme like Knockout did. Pardon me if I have to tell you this, but I have to come to the conclusion that Cliffjumper and Knockout do not share similar color schemes and designs with each other, not even close. To prove this, when you first watched the cartoon, you'll notice that Cliffjumper had color scheme and head of his G1 counterpart, but with a total different body. Furthermore, Knockout's color schemes are not the only ones that pay homage to the Beast Wars Terrorsaur, but also the shape of his robot mode, including his face as well. In addition, Cliffjumper is all red; whereas Knockout is red and light-purple. Last, but not least, Cliffjumper's vehicle mode is a Dodge Challenger, not the one that we drive today, but rather the one based on the original model, in which the current Dodge Challenger is descended from. Knockout's vehicle mode is described as a 1971 Dodge Charger, not the original one, but rather a modern version of the 1971 Charger model. So, there you have it. Should you or do not agree with this, please don't hesitate to reply to me about this comparision. As of right now, I am currently interested to know more about it. :BOT: :CON:

It is close, assuming you don't see the world in black and white. Their color schemes are both red and white, they both have remarkably similar heads (Though Knockout lacks the horns), though their bodies are different,

psj333 wrote:To prove this, when you first watched the cartoon, you'll notice that Cliffjumper had color scheme and head of his G1 counterpart, but with a total different body.

Also a totally different head. Dare to compare.

psj333 wrote:Furthermore, Knockout's color schemes are not the only ones that pay homage to the Beast Wars Terrorsaur, but also the shape of his robot mode, including his face as well. In addition, Cliffjumper is all red; whereas Knockout is red and light-purple.

For starters, no, Knockout is not purple. Second, neither is Terrorsaur. Third, having a similar color scheme does NOT mean it's an homage, tons of other transformers have been red and white. Like, for instance, Cliffjumper.

And this matters how? I never said they were exact duplicates. The fact that they were both based on Dodge cars released the same year adds more credit to my side of things.

The fact that Terrorsaur is actually red and dark gray, though with a white face, also adds some credit.

Well, Shadowman, I didn't even know that Terrorsaur is actually red and dark gray, and not red and light-purple. And then, you also mentioned that Knockout wasn't red and purple either. Therefore, I suppose that Knockout was also red and gray, just like Terrorsaur was. However, when I first saw Knockout in the cartoon, I really thought that he was red and purple. But thanks to you, I finally came to the realization that Knockout wasn't red and purple and neither is Terrorsaur.

For starters, no, Knockout is not purple. Second, neither is Terrorsaur. Third, having a similar color scheme does NOT mean it's an homage, tons of other transformers have been red and white. Like, for instance, Cliffjumper.

You know what? You're right. There are other robots that have the same colors as well. But that was Cliffjumper. For Knockout, he's different. As I said earlier, the robot mode shape of Knockout is closely identical to that of Terrorsaur, including the head shape. The only difference is that Terrorsaur has a green dot on his forehead, and Knockout does not. Now then, do you still agree exactly on what I'm trying to tell you now between these two differences? :BOT: :CON:

Have you even seen the two before? Terrorsaur does not look like Knockout. It's not just a green dot. The head, chest, arms, legs...they're both very different. And if I could find a full-body render of Cliffjumper, I'd be posting that too.

In any case, you're completely missing my original point: Knockout isn't meant as an homage to Terrorsaur, and happens to look closer to Cliffjumper than Terrorsaur. I didn't say any of them looked exactly the same. I said Knockout and Cliffjumper had similar designs. Not 100% carbon copies of each other, just similar. And neither of them resembled Terrorsaur.

Completely agree. All three kids are boring to watch. Wouldn't watch the series for any of them, the bots yes and even the villians.

Miko however, is hands down the most annoying human. Really wished she'd just become a casualty already and kindly go away even if it is only temporarily. Doubtful but we know the writers need to tie in sales so they'll probably keep her alive. Damn what a waste.

Shocking to see people agree with me on the humans that aren't Fowler or Sylis. I'll tell you another thing I hate about these autobots is that not only are they copied and paste version of the animated cast but the fact that Prime allows "Arcee" to kill humans during convoy and there are no negative reproductions at all. look new continuity or not twindling in numbers or not I don't care Autobots don't kill humans.

It's spelled Silas.

DJ1107 wrote:I'll tell you another thing I hate about these autobots is that not only are they copied and paste version of the animated cast

Um, no. Sure, you have Bulkhead, and Ratchet is really snarky, but none of the other Autobots match anyone from Animated. Bumblebee isn't the hyperactive little kid, Optimus isn't the idealistic young leader, an...well, Prowl isn't here. Arcee would seem to be the closest, but again, their personalities are very different. Arcee isn't some mysterious ninja, she's just a solider with a love of sarcasm.

The word you're looking for is "repercussions." Second, when someone calls for "non-lethal force only" in combat, typically someone is going to die anyway, there's sort of a limit on how non-lethal you can get, there's always casualties.

Third, tough, these are new, badass Autobots. They aren't going to take any crap from any humans.

1. Thank you for the fix up on Silas's name
2. the reason why I say copy & paste cast is because we have the same character names minus Prowl you see when I jump in to a new transformer series I like a little variations on characters sure we have Optimus Prime or A Optimus in almost every continuity but still Armada started out with Optimus, Hot Shot, and Red Alert, The movie started with Optimus, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Ironhide, & Jazz.
3. "Badass" my ass. the only Autobots that are compatint Is probably Ratchet. These Autobots are as badass as the current roster of the JLA or Youngbloods. Our great Autobot leader is a joke when fighting and pullin reason why making a short trip is bad out of his ass. Our adventurest and 2nd kid-appeal Yellow guy is a carbon copy of his movie version but less awesome. Our muscles destroy more of his teams equipment then the enemies. And our girl of the team who tries to be a badass is just a bitch because theres a code now that all Dark blue transformers are assholes

You get the delorean. I shall get the flux capacitor, plutonium and 'The power of Love' by Huey Lewis and the News.

Should I bring the Mr fusion and warn Armada Optimus that he'll look like crap in the next season

First off, you, sir, have just made a powerful enemy by badmouthing Arcee like that.

Me, I'm your powerful enemy. I don't want any confusion there.

Second, if Arcee is a bitch, then what are we supposed to call Ratchet? Arcee just hates babysitting duty (Let's be honest, how would you feel, being forced to babysit a tiny creature who basically just molested you?), but enjoys sarcasm and poking fun at her teammates. Ratchet? He's just a jerk.

Also, when was this code enacted? Soundwave wasn't following it in WfC, so it had to be after that.

EDIT: Also, Optimus + Yellow kid-appeal bot + scientist guy + warrior-jerk + comic-relief idiot is the formula for every Transformers series since Beast Wars.

sorry Let me rephrase the code Dark blue Autobots. and I'm not trying to say the formula of a Autobot team is bad I'm just saying Prime didn't even try to make different characters but just took the left over names of Animated and added Arcee. And there is a difference with Ratchet & Arcee. I don't recall Ratchet making threats to hunt Jack if he told anyone about there existence. And even if he did who would believe him people would say he's making up stories. I'm sorry if I happen to be the only guy who hates this version of Arcee.
