The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
We have long realized that the Dinobots will be in this show. A lot of people have assumed that Underbite is a dog. At first thought, he looks like a dog, but he isn`t. According to the product description on the Amszon.com and the Toysareus.com websites, they confirmed that Underbite is actually a Decepticon Dinobot of sorts, but didn`t mentioned what type of dinosaur is he. Even the Bwtf.com website said the same thing, as well. So, while Underbite is the only Dinobot that has a vehicle mode, will the future Dinobots who will appear in the show later on will also have their own vehicle modes, just like Underbite did, or just some of them?

Because Fracture actually turns into a human as a third mode. His name is Joe and he has a part-time job as a cashier at Chip Chase's. Except all of his burgers are actually minicons! Imagine biting into one of those bitches and having it saw through your digestive system. Not too much fun.chuckdawg1999 wrote:PrymeStriker wrote:psj333 wrote:Is Chop Shop is Airachnid's son? Chop Shop is indeed Airachnid's son. Airachnid got "busy" with one of her Insecticon servants, sucking a little something other than Energon, and shot out Chop Shop on Cybertron's Moon. Chop Shop was arrested in adulthood for sexually harassing female Predacons. Now, on Earth, he is seeking to continue his predatory by directing Kiss Players: The Movie.
Chop Shop's known relatives are Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Creepy, and Charlotte (died tragically in 1952).

Madeus Prime, have you not been to Comic Con last year? Hasbro have already confirmed that there will be Dinobots in this show. They used the term Dinobots and not Dinobot. This means that, Grimlock and Underbite won't be the only ones in the show. There will be more on the way in the near future, but we don't know how many for sure.

Sorry, but as far as my memory goes, they didn't. Not to mention that it really doesn't matter, if there are more Dinobots, okay, if there aren't, okay. I'm hardly expecting to be thrilled with the characters in this series.
Besides, psj, why on earth are you asking these pointless questions? They are not pertaining to pertinent info. Ages of the characters are not important, sizes of the vehicle modes are not important, and most of all: WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE SHOW!!!!!!!!! SO WE DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!
All your questions are either irrelevant to the series or unanswerable, I also did a quick backtrack through your posts, you've been asking these ridiculous questions since you joined. I'm not even positive if you are trolling or simply unaware of the position you've put yourself in.

Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Madeus Prime, so basically what you're trying to tell me is that the only Dinobots confirmed for this show at this time are Grimlock and Underbite? And also, quit calling Underbite a dog, because he isn't! The only dog Decepticon for this show is Steeljaw. Even Hasbro has confirmed on their website that Underbite, according to the toy description, is a dino, which means that he is a Dinobot of sorts. So, just because that Underbite looks like a dog, doesn't mean that really is. If you don't me, then read the product description on the Amazon.com, Toysareus.com, and the official Hasbro websites, and you will know exactly what I'm talking about here.

Madeus Prime, I've read your replies and I can see where you're coming from. My statements might not contain accurate information, but Hasbro, Amazon, and Toysareus did. I've already been to those sites. I've already read the product description for every single one of these characters, including Underbite. They all said the same thing: Underbite is a Dinobot! You've never been to any one of those sites, so you don't get to know who these characters are, what they look like, and what they do.

Guess what? I went to all three of those websites, and none of them said that Underbite was a Dinobot. A dinosaur Transformer, but not a Dinobot. "Dinobot" is a word for a very specific subfaction that Underbite is very blatantly not a part of. Please stop trying to act like you know more than us and quit being so fragging arrogant. You ain't Sabrblade, bub, and it's showing.

Episode 1 is online! - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k6rbw1C4huuMqsacdqo
Spoilers Below
Episode 1 -
Opens with a view of the design of Cybertron that first debuted in WFC.
Seems that after all this time, Bumblebee's become a street cop, holding the rank of lieutenant. Strongarm's his cadet.
Sideswipe's their perpetrator, and Bumblebee knows him. And his Cybertronian altmode is a hovercar, yet it still leaves skidmarks on the ground despite his not even touching it. Heh.
Bee's getting a vision from Optimus that only he can see.
Timber!!!
No theme song for this one. When will Hasbro Studios learn that excluding the theme songs from the first episode of its shows reduces the level of excitement we have for the show?
My, Cybertron's population sure has grown healthily since we last saw it in Prime. Guess this is a pretty good number of years after that show's end.
Cut to Earth to introduce us to the energetic Denny and his no-nonsense son Russell (whom Denny has nicknamed "Rusty", much to Russell's chagrin).
A ship has crashed near Denny's scrapyar--er, I mean, near his "Vintage Salvage Depot for the Discriminating Nostalgist".
Enter Fixit, the ship's pilot.
Within the Cybertron History Museum's Bumblebee's found a space bridge, with Earth coordinates.
The disembodied voice of Optimus wants Bee to go to Earth.
Strongarm and the arrested Sideswipe appear and want to tag along with Bee.
Back on Earth, a news report tells Denny and Russell that the crash might have been a meteor.
Fixit's trying to contact Cybertron.
Bee tried to distract incoming guards, but instead wound up being mistaken for an impostor of himself. Heh.
Bee's made it to Earth... and so have his two compatriots.
Fixit has been found by Bee and Strongarm.
All but one of the Decepticons have escaped their damaged stasis cells, but the last one is weakening.
Sideswipe and Russell have stumbled upon each other. And Underbite.
Underbite's got a Texan accent.
Sideswipe's transformed into his hovercar altmode.
Underbite fancies himself as the "Devourer of Nuon City" (note, not entirely sure on that spelling).
The last stasis cell has been busted open by Grimlock.
Underbite seems to get stronger each time he eats.
Grimlock tricks Underbite into freeing him from his cell by insulting Underbite's smell.
Underbite sees the scrapyard off the distance and heads toward it.
Fixit confirms that Underbite, being a Chompazoid, does become more powerful the more metal that he consumes.
And since Underbite's headed for the scrapyard, Denny's in danger.
To be continued...

Liam O'Brien -- Guard #1
Well, this certainly was more of a beginning story than "Darkness Rising, Part 1" was. Rather than acting like we should already know who these Autobot characters are and what all's going on, this episode gave us a proper introduction for everyone and everything it showed, much like "Family of Heroes" did for Rescue Bots, and like other episode 1's have done for other shows. Though, as it stands, it feel pretty ordinary so far, without too much to make it stand out as anything that special. But as this is just Part 1, hopefully Part 2 will bring a more complete sense of satisfaction. However, there was one thing in this episode that was almost instantly likable: Underbite. His boastful and outgoing personality was so appealing that I could see him becoming a fan favorite pretty quick. I look forward to seeing more of him in episode 2 and in future episodes to come.

Burn Reviews TF:Robots in Disguise
So I guess this job falls to me after having watched the two-part "Pilot".
First and foremost, from what I've seen of the series from the initial character designs, through to a few short videos, and then the toys, I wasn't expecting much from the series.
Suffice to say, I've been pleasantly surprised.
The show, may be ... fun. There's a number of moments where you just have to laugh. Put that down to the characterisation, all of the characters are incredibly unique. So let's run through them!
THE CHARACTERS
Bumblebee - The veteran, reluctantly thrown into the leader position of a bunch of misfits. It's so weird hearing him talk ...
Strongarm - The ride-along, a stickler for the law. She quotes the rules more than Red Dwarf's Rimmer quoted Space Corps directives. Young and out to impress her ranking officer.
Sideswipe - The perp, reluctantly dragged into the mix when arrested by Strongarm. Very little respect for authority, but being one of the good guys, he'll fall into line eventually.
Fix-It - The mini-con, in charge of a prison transport ship that has crashed to Earth. Currently suffering glitches which you could describe as dyslexia. Not really living up to his name ...
Denny - The father, a collector of ... things ...
Russell - The son, not a collector, typical cartoon human kid
Grimlock - The Dinobot, an escaped prisoner from the transport ship, a little amnesic over a few details, not a fan of Underbite. Also nothing like previous Grimlocks.
Which brings us to ...
Underbite - The Chompazoid, the first escaped prisoner we meet. The Popeye of the Transformers world (his spinach is anything metal), a body builder type personality who loves his muscles ... a lot. Fun and interesting character. And not a Dinobot.
Oh and then there's that other guy who's dead ... kinda ... he's still preachy.
THE ANIMATION
I liked it. The aesthetic may not be my preference, but it worked quite well for my liking.
THE STORY
It was different, it was unique. This isn't your usual "Optimus Prime and his team are out to stop Megatron and the Decepticons with help from the humans". This is a whole new team with only one character we know well. It's a bold new move, and it works. It proves we don't need established names to enjoy a Transformers cartoon. Just give it a good story. As I said, there's little bits of comedy. Underbite, despite being the bad guy, is a character you can get behind.
OVERALL
It's good. It's worth watching. It's got potential. Some series you watch "just so you can join in the conversation", this one is WORTH watching because I think many will enjoy it, and so you can join in the conversation, right here, on the Energon Pub forums!

So does it reference the last series at all or at the moment, just acting like a complete reintroduction to the status quo?

The was the flaps sticking out from his underside scraping against the ground.
So, I haven't seen part 2 yet, but at any point does Bee try to contact Fowler? Because that is really bugging me something fierce. That and the fact that the Aligned continuity has basically been totally given up on. (Sideswipe is a young punk...even though he's a war hero who fought alongside Optimus and Bumblebee)
