According to Sidious, Plagueis was powerful enough that he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life and keep those he cared about from dying
so maybe he brought himself back to life somehow?
but.............if not Plagueis.........then Darth Bane!
hey! it's science fiction fantasy after all!

Why can't Snoke be his own entity?

first of all....Thanks for ruining the possible identity of that character for people that have yet to see the movie! by not using Spoiler Tags! as you can see i was avoiding using the name of the character in The Force Awakens.....so i didn't have to use spoiler tags.
hey i'm not setting it in stone that it's Plagueis or even Bane! it could very well turn out to be an original character! but the possibilities are there...if the writers did choose to make him Plagueis.

The name of a character isn't a damn spoiler. Snoke has been confirmed as a character for months.
ZeroWolf wrote:Sly is right, I think it's been over a year since Andy Serkis confirmed he was playing Snoake via momo-cap, something Serkis is now legendary for.
Also I never said plagusis wasn't Canon just that all his abilities and back stories wasn't anymore and that he was said to be dead. I'm more concerned about how you seem to be convinced this is the case. I myself am leaning towards Snoake being completely new and that we'll find out his past in the next two episodes. Which is just as good as your theory at the momentI will apologise if I've come across a bit antagonistic, as it wasn't my intent.

Hate to break it to you, but JJ confirmed in an interview that Snoke was an original, months ago.

We were gonna go with 7 days, but maybe we should make it 10, just to include the 2nd weekend of release in case some people are holding off until then to see it. So unless Burn says otherwise, we stop using the spoiler tags on Monday, December 28th, as shown by the message board. Not everyone starts Monday locally at the same time.Stuartmaximus wrote:btw does anyone know how long the spoiler tags will be up for? coz i know the film has a 5 week cinematic run(maybe more)

And I saw the film again yesterday, and I must say I enjoyed it more the 2nd time. Once I got past the facts that Luke wasn't gonna show up and Finn and Ren were horrible characters I could focus on the rest of the movie and it was actually pretty decent. Still doesn't rate high among the SW films for me, but it's better than my 1st impression.
That's a matter of opinion. TFA is better than TPM and on par with or slightly ahead of AoTC IMO. Personally, I really liked RoTS despite Hayden Christensen's awful acting, so I won't put it above that. And it's light years behind the OT. Yeah, but it's Va'al. I mean, Va'al. C'mon.Burn wrote:I'm okay to leave them on until after the second weekend. Yes, there are people who haven't seen it yet, Va'al is one of them (but he's been smart and avoided the thread)

Rey and Finn were the main focus, each with their own issues. Though speaking of Han rumour has it that he was killed off as he only wanted to do one more movie...and of course the rumour that he only did this one for one more indy movie
Where did you get that? Last I heard Lucas had planned 9 episodes in 3 trilogies, even before he ever shot A New Hope. He got to make 6 of the 9. I know he has nothing to do with TFA, but I would think the screenwriters for TFA at least looked at Lucas's version.Stuartmaximus wrote:Lucas wasn't planning on any sequels....after Jedi
