All the others in the film transformed fine. They didnt have parts that flew off or anything.
But Optimus Prime did.
It was like they didnt work hard enough on him.
They should all be up to the same standard.

I'm still getting used to the fact that the 1986 movie takes place 3 years in the past now.

I thought that was just a trailer they used for Bulkheads head.
And its one ugly trailer. I dont know what the deal was with all these excited fanboys going loco on youtube. G1 Optimus primes trailer was the reverse of those colors.
It dosnt even look vaguely similer.
I like animated Optimus Prime as he is.

I'm guessing most of you weren't born when Transformers first came out in stores, and the movie got you interested in the story and characters.
Anyway, Prime will probably be a bit closer to his original look, if Bay decided to change him.

What????
How was G1 Prime's trailer the "reverse" of those colors????
When was the last time you say G1 Prime's trailer??/
How is this

the reverse of this????

The color shades may be different but it is not the reverse of the G1 color scheme.

Criticizing the spelling of others is childish.I'm one of the oldest members here and I myself have issues with my spelling, mostly due to the enormous amount of meds that I'm taking clouding my mind but you have no right to pass judgment on others.

((evreyone))watch your spelling it looks like there's going to be a test.
Most toys take a year or more to develop, hasbro wants at least that long from concept to final product, the armada unicron took a good two but some can take upwards of three but most are in the 1-2 year range.

Under normal circumstances the answer might have been yes but the writters strike has pushed back the process of every thing involved with the 2nd movies production.
That being said I dont think that some of the character designs arent being chosen as we speak but I dont think any working models will be ready till close to the end of the year.

are the allspark figures going to play a roll in the 2nd movie?-- making the new cast even smaller - as far as new toys on shelves at the stores.

Tough to say that all depends on the script/plot of course and with the intentional release of false information by Bay and crew we probably won't know for some time so unless the official script does get leaked released and Bay actually confirms that it's authentic then who can say...Oh, I just had a horrible thought...pretend an entire script gets leaked and Bay confirms to everyone that that is the sequels official script BUT it will later turn out that that too was a deception.
Oh well time will only tell and the best advice is to not expect this character to return or that character to show up or it should be a certain way and to go in with a fairly open mind about it.
Back to toys however, the strike may inadvertently effect the quality of next movies toys too!

Cars, trucks, planes and tanks? Sure, cool enough, but we've had a thousand toys of those things before. The movie brought quite a few unique new vehicle toys and I hope TF2 will add to them.

yes for sure - what the hell were they thinking- that is one crappy looking spaceship- there were so many things they could have done with that-i do have megatron's figure from the movie - why i don't know -i don't even like it- if it looked alittle more like he did in the movie then maybe it would be ok , as far as the plane being more sleeker and the tail in the back alittle higher- and whats with doulbe nose thing? well, I sure hope they fix him up right in the 2nd movie--

tick tock only time will tell- one things for sure thats alot of primes sitting on the toy shelfs- figruing we all got one(from 1st movie) and i'm sure hasbro would like to make a buck off the next transformers movie coming out? or not?
