At least another movie that I like/respect won the sound awards (Bourne Ultimatum)

Of what? That the academy is littered with out-of date dinosaurs past their prime?
I fail to see what's so glamorous about Polar bears over robots that can seemlessly turn into vehicles. Well, guess Bay's just gonna have to turn it up a knotch in TF2. Still I call 1 out of 3!
As a matter of fact, how can you guys consider yourselves fans if you're so bent on the movie not winning? Seem more your priorities are on groping your personal egos.

You know what the worst part is, now Alex Kingdom doesn't have to eat his own collection!
Still, a year ago, nobody, including most of us here even thought we'd make the running. Looking at the odds, we still did pretty dam good.
Kinda like the end of Rocky or The Bad News Bears

Lots of great films get missed at the Oscars, and lots of lousy films get awards.
The long and short of it is that Transformers got nominated for the few categories it might have actually achieved some level of respectability in:
-shiny effects
-changing camera angles
-and loud noises
But in the end, it still lost to Matt Damon and a Talking Polar Bear.
Nuff said.
