You know, once we have Sinnertwin we can star doing the double double dragons. And I think I mentioned, Moonracer isn't as bad a toy as I thought. Her vehicle mode is kind of hotdog like to me, but as a limb, she is going to be awesome.

You need to understand that Toy Fair is basically a trade show for the toy industry first and foremost and while they do have reveals there it's really more about showing stuff off to retailers and licensees that aren't as well informed as we are. It isn't like BotCon or SDCC where they really try to wow us (not to say they didn't occasionally fall short of expectations).

Then there's the issue with big corporate suits not always planning out their logistics correctly and have a wave that should still be a month away coming out early. Plus Hasbro stopped outsourcing their PR team around the start of Titans Return which I feel like has done weird things to the line of communication between Hasbro and us fans.

In an ideal world the "new" PotP figures would have been as well guarded as Cyberverse was.

So what do you think the chances are of a Prime Masters wave 4? I think it's possible since we know there's an unused Waverider suit plus regular Onyx Prime (I don't think they'll be paired) waiting to be placed somewhere. And PMs are the only PotP class that hasn't had duplicates which I think is a sign that they're dedicated to getting all 12 out within PotP. It does mean getting four new PMs (the most of the line) in the final wave, but then again most of the first three waves of Titan Masters had 4 figures each so it isn't totally out of the question. I wonder if they'd be willing to let them bleed into WfC?

The other thing is wave 3 is supposed to arrive in July, but the way things are going it'll be more like late May which would leave nothing new for half the year. And despite how Hasbro tried to spin the poor distribution of late waves, it was Deluxe wave 5 (and in my case wave 4) that few in the USA could find at retail or online, Deluxe wave 6 was no problem.

They still use Rogers and Cowan for PR. We were in contact with them today about official images.

And I think the odds of getting wave 4 Prime Masters is high since I dont see how else we would get the 12 primes masters they promised us when we know the exclusive toys will come with special edition versions.

Oh, then they changed it a second time. While I was writing for Tomopop they were using Hunter PR which was great, they always stayed in touch with us. Then they started doing PR internally and refused to contact us or reply to our emails requesting press releases (I PMed Ryan to verify we had the right contacts). I guess they didn't keep that going for long if they're back to using yet another PR team, no wonder why they're releasing stuff before they even announce it the way they're going through PR services.

True! They could go up against Twinferno & TLK Dragonstorm!

I'm slightly disappointed Novastar isn't too different from Moonracer -- but I'll get them both no matter what.

The more I see Bludgeon the more I want him. Yes, some would say, the Prime Masters are pretty bare bone but hey it's a 'pretender Bludgeon' whose name now make sense with this huge Kanabo he'd use to clobber people. However, as all the previous Decepticon Pretenders I got are getting their own bodies using TR figures, it would be odd for Bludgeon to be the only 'con pretender in my display without one.

....except there isn't really any proper, matching mold for him. TR only has a single deluxe tank mode and I'm already using it for Skullgrin. So I could use people's input on this. Do I:
1) Try to see if I can remove RID Warrior Class Bludgeon's head and repaint his body to match the less-used inner robot body. This would make him consistent with the other 'con Pretenders who use their Prime Master shell+a a repainted emblem.
2) Do I use the body of Blitzwing/Megatron? Thing is, trying to custom paint a triple changer seems like asking for a nightmare.

so, they give us official image of hollow optimal optimus armor without primal, but don't bother to gives us official image of optimus primal himself, as well as his alt mode? sounds like an odd choice, if you ask me.

Very true, but you could also say that the revision waves prevented many people from getting wave 5 as well since the stores stocked up on the revision waves before wave 5 was available (if wave 5 ever was truly available).

But couldn't that come down to shops ordering too many of the revision waves?

But that revision wave was released after wave 5. So the ordering for the revision wave was done after the ordering for wave 5.

All TRUs in my country got wave 5 (Walmarts too actually) and then the twinferno revision wave came after.

Well, this weekend was kind of a bummer, for me at least in terms of what came out of ToyFare. I am pretty disappointed that PotP is ending so soon. Seems like half a line, more than a full line. I know Hasbro believes that the key to keeping Transformers fresh is to keep changing it, but the changes now are coming at just a ridiculous rate. If you are changing it, every year, there's really no time to form any attachment, and no reason to *like* anything today, because you know it will most likely be gone tomorrow.

The Prime wars overall is what brought me back after a 10 year absence of collecting toys, and although the generations line *may* be continuing with a new trilogy, if they do not have the same aesthetic, I may be exiting again. To be Honest, nothing about Cyberverse or Authentics excites me (I thought they were the same line at first). Studio series is a good representation of the movie series characters, kind of odd since the movie verse is ending, and I've never had any interest in movie based toys

But as for PotP --What we Got -Predaking, looks great, but exactly what we've come to expect from . I'm just sad wont be doing a more polished version as they did with UW Devastator since the releases of the lines are now exactly the same. I'm not too big a fan of Predaking coming with Onyx Prime. Keep all the Primes released with the same gimmick...Unless...as some have speculated the remaining 3 Prime Masters are being reserved for Box Sets, now going down the rabbit hole, if those Box sets were some of the remaining combiners we have not got new versions of, I'd be ecstatic, but somehow I don't see that happening.

Also we got pics of Novastar along with the rest of wave 3. Has she perhaps been bumped up to wave 3? That would be awesome, then perhaps we are getting a full wave 4 of new characters to finish the line? That would be nice, but again all speculation. Also Inferno was not shown. Honestly I'd be happy if he was removed form the slate. I do not need another extra torso without dedicated limbs.

Again this is all purely conjecture, based on no evidence at all but....We do know there are 3 remaining Prime Mastres to be revealed. They *could* be released with Box Sets late in 2018, or they could be released as part of a full wave 4, in which case I hope we could get 4 more deluxes to complete the Elita-1 and Starscrream combiners. A couple new Legends would be nice (Flywheels pair to complete the Duo Cons please), no voyagers would be necessary, and a Star Saber Leader to finish things off would be sweet. Of course worse case scenario, Hasbro could just offer the last 3 Prime Masters in a Walgreens triple pack and call it a day, or just be like "Well we never said we were giving you all 12, I have no idea where fans would get that idea from..."

I also know that something may have been said to the effect that the new Generations WFC Generations Trilogy may yet give us some of the things we wanted form Prime wars that were never released, if that is the case, I am all for more combineras that are compatible with the current engineering system, but it just seems like they would be likely to go an all new direction, (I just saw the fan vote, I couldn't care less about these selections, seems mostly based on IDW). Unfortunately I don't have high hopes for 2019 at this point, I hope I am wrong and have a chance to still be part of the discussions of the future, but I guess only time will tell. In any case, I just hope there is something left to be revealed for PotP that we have not seen yet.

Thats not what is going on, Hasbro is doing this to help you.

Stores do not like lines that extend more than a year, they want to keep things fresh, to sell more (their perspective). Hence why sublines existed in RID, so that every year it seemed the stores were ordering new sets of toys.

Several tail enders were not ordered in satisfactory quantity according to collectors (TR Wave 5 and 6 deluxes, final wave of T30, CW wave 6 voyager ect) and Hasbro has heard the complaints a ton of times. They did the repack thing, but clearly that isnt working. So instead, they are doing shorter lines. Like that a store will be more likely to stock everything.

This is Hasbro's way of helping you guys out by finding a loophole in the ordering mindset.

Hasbro said they had plans until 2021 for Generations, that works perfectly for a trilogy starting in 2019 made up of 3 one year lines.

It will thus be similar to TV show backed line then, where every season gets a new toyline name. And for us, it makes no difference. JOhn Warden said there wont necesarily be an ecosystem so its just us getting more gen toys at least until 2021. They will be released and revealed ina similar schedule to what we are accutomed to. The lines being shorter dont really make any difference for us.

It was confirmed that some toys we are getting are reusing existing molds and tooling so of course they will have the same look and feel.

Also, it's War for Cybertron Trilogy.

Thanks for that bit of news, that part is a little encouraging at least. The error in the WFC trilogy naming was just me posting too early in the morning . I did read the part that this is just a name reuse and has nothing to do with the previous Video Game series.

I'm guessing the original plan for PotP was for 6 waves based on Prime Master releases in waves one and two (3 and 2 PM's respectively). But they changed their minds so wave 3 had 3 PM's. So with that said I'm guessing here that wave 4 will finish off the 12 Prime Masters with the final 4 released in that wave (3+2+3+4=12). Basic math.

If I do go for Predaking that could give me 2 different Onyx Primes if I like the Decoy Armor.

I'm encouraged that we will not be getting all out exclusive Cybertron molds for the War for Cybertron Trilogy and that some Titan Masters we heard about but were skipped over and some combiners we've been waiting for but haven't had a chance for release yet may well help fill in some waves. I hope keeps this trilogy a simple annual chapter rather than the 6 wave monsters we got for Titans Returns and Power of the Primes, but as long as they do right by fans and release characters and figures fans want and most importantly make money so we can keep Generations going I'll be happy even if I don't get a single figure in the next year since I may well get something special before this trilogy ends.

All is cool by me.

Would be a bit strange for Rodimus, because his arms would be on the ground, but Optimus could have worked.
