???!?!?!!!!!!??!!!!!!???
Yep, easy mistake. When you type "Prime" so many times while talking about various figures in PotP it just sort of slips out.
Emerje
Damnation! The ONLY figure on the whole line worthy of my name! It had BETTER come out...
Sadly.

You would have LOVED the Thrilling 30 line. There was a bit for everyone in there and the G1 figures we did get were of characters who never got their own proper new toys.
Yeah, Thrilling 30 and the 2009 portion of Universe were the big anniversary lines (30th and 25th, respectively), so those ones payed tribute to more than just G1. Next year's gonna be the 35th anniversary, so who knows what we might get out of the first WFC line (besides the general notion of pre-Earth form toys, that is).Skritz wrote:william-james88 wrote:Skritz wrote:You know, sometimes I really wish we'd get a Generations line whose whole shtick is homaging 'older stuff not Generation 1': Beast Era, Old RiD and Unicron Trilogy.

I did (and I did eventually buy Waspinator!) but it happened before I got back into collecting.

His goatee is a reference to the evil mirror version of Mr Spock from the original Star Trek series. Spock was second in command and Rodimus was second in command, so it became a fun reference.

Meh, I like Macho Man better, so I'll go with that in my headcanon. Oh Yeah!!! Snap into a slim jim!

I think Rodimus Unicronus looks like Sly Raxx from M.A.S.K.
Skritz wrote:Is it wrong I want Rodimus Unicronus when I decided to not get Hot Rod/Rodimus unless I see it on clearance (due to already having a deluxe Hot Rod)? The Shattered Glass homage, the beard and shades and that sexy jet black color scheme with eeeevil purple. It's a cheesy repaint but part of me absolutely dig the idea of an 'evil Hot Rod'. Not because I hate Hot Rod (I don't!) but because it's one of those cheesy good-guy-turned corrupted saturday morning nonsense.
Evil Matrix! Evil Rodimus corrupted and turned into a vessel for Unicron! It's cheesy, silly nonsense which also happen to be a deco which frankly makes the toy look better due to it being more visually coherent.
