Really don't think we need an Underbite in another size class.
But then doesnt he look too small facing any of the warrior class figures?

And isn't his articulation nearly non existent?
In general, I just look at the 1-Steps and long for more joints and a better set of paint apps and a bigger scale.
I think we NEED a Warrior-class Underbite (and, frankly, pretty much all of the Decepticons seen so far) and, well, Hasbro can't please everyone but this is one of the first times in years that a show has come along where I have been thoroughly enthralled by the aesthetics. Prime offered up some decent options, but very few I felt I had to own (in fact, while not entirely by my design, the only two Prime figures I have are a Cliffjumper and an Insecticon), the last time I felt so captivated by a series aesthetically was Animated and I bought everything I could get my hands on (and I still desperately wish to fill in the gaps in that line).

I sure hope that's First Edition Cliffjumper because that is a wonderful and unique transformer toy and deserves a place in a collection.
I totally agree with that, I like the aesthetic too. But I feel Underbite would be better for a Hyperchange class to tower a bit over the warrior class figures, as he does on the show.

Also, I don't think it is first edition Cliffjumper as, while I loved the Dwayne Johnson voiced character, the toy I have is a bit underwhelming. I think that I had thought it was the first edition when I got it, but that was only because it was the first CJ from Prime I had found at retail (which, while I was living in Quebec, means that it easily could have been delayed a long time, retail shelves were horrible for my buying habits in Quebec).
I'm rambling a bit now...

Is the chest the actual car roof or is it fake kibble?
Real roof is FE. Faux kibble is RID.

The first edition go much cheaper online than what it used to be, so its still around if you want it. I had the RID first, then had an opportunity for the first edition. So I bought the first edition and sold the RID for 10$ and didnt regret it.

RID Underbite doesn't stand up to form a humanoid form. So he has no robot mode. Think Underbite has a Robotic animal mode that transforms into a vehicle. Like some Web Diver and Beast Machines Deployers toys did.
The reason I guessed Underbite's robotic animal mode was a Gorilla. was for the long front arms and short back legs. Think the overall body design and elongated big forehead looks like a Gorilla.

A robot mode doesn't have to be a bipedal humanoid robot. It's simply a transformer's "true" form, as opposed to their alt mode. Since Underbite's alt mode is the car-thing, his dog mode is his robot mode.

Not the first time we had a toy with an animal as a main mode and a vehicle alt mode:

Transformers Alternators Ravage Gallery
Personally I view Underbite as a weird stocky alien canid.

From what I've seen from the RID cartoon thus far Underbite changes size so any toy, at any time, will and will not be in scale. The mouth moves, what more articulation do you need from a robot dog? Making another Underbite besides the Legion toy will be a waste of parts that could be used for another character. Articulation isn't a be all, end all.
