It would, but I'm not sure how much. Robot mode is fine, but his beast mode just seems a bit wide, flat and like a box. And his beast arms aren't great for posing well. So far, havent got dubrois or whatever headmaster is called in the cockpit sitting, only in full head mode. Maybe it's because the rest of tr has been so great, this guy is just average. I think he may grow on me the more i play with him.

I will say, i love the battle beast reference and why it's on this guy. And i love his guns. I think it's my favourite of the tm guns. And yes, putting them in his shoulders is in the instructions.

Honestly, wrist swivels are a thing I've been missing for every figure in this and CW. Everyone's always on about the waist swivels but that's the most important point of articulation that's always missing for me. It's the one other thing I really wish TR Megatron had.

Wrists seem like something they wanted to do, but couldn't make it work for all figures so they stopped trying. Blurr/Brainstorm and Hardhead have them, Skullsmasher has a forearm swivel that serves basically the same purpose, though it's also part of his transformation unlike the other two. Then you've got Wolfwire and Highbrow (any others?) who somehow were made without Titan Master pegs. There are a lot of weird discrepancies in this line, to say nothing of all the different ways TMs are assembled.

Yeah indeed, and full centre too, they make it his default robot mode look. I actually only learnt of that feature when looking at the instructions.

Thank you... though I'd rather not go through that; especially when Wolfwire was one I specifically wanted and I wouldn't like a random figure in exchange for him. Plus the only part of him that's actually broken is the cockpit, an admittedly very minor feature that doesn't ruin the toy for me and I can still kiiiiiiinda get it to work.


Also, because I'm in love with TR Megatron and I have a weakness for bad G1 toy boxart...

ditto. I have yet to see a Soundwave or Sixshot at retail, but when I do I'll definitely be doing something similar. In fact I cant wait to see how all the leaders look once assembled with Fort Max and *hopefully* Trypticon will have the ability to connect as well.

Most often, they let you keep your figure and simply send you a new one. Trust me, it is worth a shot, if they tell you tosend yours back, tell them no. And if they dont ask, then you get a free figure. You cant go wrong.

Unfortunately I've found that assembling the leaders to Fort Max very disappointing and hope Hasbro plans out Trypticon a bit better. The main problem with Fort Max is that 2 of the 3 ramps for connection on him are way too high off the ground, too high for Blaster to connect. The 3rd ramp is ground level, but Fort Max's right arm is in the way so you can't really connect anything there without changing the base mode a bit. A few extra ramp pieces would have gone a long way here.

Thanks!Thats another reason for me to delay getting him. Its odd how the TR figure I have been least pumped about is Fort freaken Max. In the end, he might be one of the only toys from this line I dont get.

We spoke previously about some of the problems with Fort Max and his connectivity with the other TR Leader Class...Still it would ultimately not feel right without him IMHO. Hopefully when the line is ultimately finished, the final product with all leaders and proposed Titans will make for an impressive set up for all the Titan Masters.

I would think with some sale prices going down to $75 prior to the holiday, and even some FM being spotted in market 6 for as low as $50, anybody on the fence about Fort Max would have made the choice by now. One thing you can never count on with TF's is consistency however.

I bought Fort Max pretty much on day one seeing as my previous experience of never seeing a Metroplex in the wild lead me to not want to miss out on this one, but even now 6 months later, FM doesn't seem to be hard to find at all (and is considered an inferior toy for the most part to his predecessor).

Knowing my luck however, and using this logic to wait until Holiday 2017 to get Trypticon on a huge sale, what will probably happen is Hasbro will produce far less of him, and it will sell out relatively quickly.

Anybody in the US. he never went that low in Canada, at least not that I know of. So I am still on the fence.

NOT HARD TO FIND AT ALL!!! try coming to the UK pal! he's harder to find here than anywhere else in the world(well....at least in Scotland anyway!) the only store(bricks & mortar) that has him in(well...the SDCC version...in Scotland) is A1 Toys, no other store....& i mean NO OTHER!!! has it in.....whether it's the Hasbro version or SDCC(& no! TRU here in Scotland never got it in either!) so....going forward....my hope for TR Trypticon appearing in bricks & mortar stores(TRU) in Scotland is rather pessimistic(unless A1 Toys manages to get him in) & YES...i know due to the recent UK release list that TR Trypticon is supposed to be coming out in the UK(so it's a case of....i'll believe it when i see it).

That's true. I saw Metroplex for a brief time in Toys R Us at least. There were only 2 of him, but he was there. And only that one store. But I have never seen any Max in the wild outside TFNation. Otherwise, you have to online him.

Missing out on Metroplex, I also jumped online to get Fort Max, ASAP. Of course, that had more to do with the fact that I wasn't back on the Hunt for TFs like I am nowadays. I also passed on the original G1 FM, so there was also that. I may never see Metroplex come home....

I'm still on the fence about Trypticon - he was my last TF before I had stopped collecting, back in the day. He no longer has Brunt and a peg is broken on his chest, but he's perfect for the kids to play with. He even still walks! But yeah, he will have to be a pretty awesome update....or I find him in Ross next Xmas.

I was slightly disappointed in Fort Max's transformations as well, and if you own Metroplex perhaps there's no burning need for him...but he was a must-have for me.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Hasbro UK to try to find out where on Earth they went wrong with their Titans Returns distribution, I hope they allow retailer to re-order Wave 1 & 2 as they are just no where in stores.

Aside from some place like VERY getting a few Voyagers they barely seem to have come out at all. and Wave 1 Titanmasters seems to also barely come out too.

I've actually seen a recent resurgence in wave 1 figures at ASDA

But Hasbro UK doesnt handle that part, they just take the orders and have them ship out. The bad distribution part is on behalf of retailers alone. They order the toys and they put them on the shelves, that part is all up to them. The same situation happened in the US at the end of last year. Hasbro had delivered all their TR figures to retailers but it was retailers who did not put them on the shelves, so it looked like the only place stocking them was a pharmacy. So people moaned about how Hasbro could have such terrible distribution but in reality, Hasbro had no more toys to give, everything was sold out and retailers just didnt stock their shelves. And then they had too much in their wrehouses, so places like Target and Walmart reduced the price.

Its all on the retailer end. A fly on the wall o fHasbro UK would be bored senseless.

now...granted it's a preorder! but still! nearly £55 for a Leader Class fig, WHOLY F!!! not even bricks & mortar UK stores(TRU, Smyths Toys) would charge that!(it's usually around £45 for a leader class fig in those stores)

dunno how Kapow can justify their pricing?
