7$ for a titanmaster seems like a lot, even for Canada.

Speaking of which, Generations Botanica when?

Never soon enough.

You'd think that they would have taken the opportunity to improve on the figure's designs instead of just remaking it.
Cutting edge design 30+ years ago = disappointing design now.
It was Guiledart and all his mold reuses who had the "dead dino" Trap Mode. Saberback and Sling (and their respective mold reuses) turned into flower Trap Modes.Black Hat wrote:Not quite what I meant but close enough. Also that does remind me that at some point I need to get a Sabreback. Though in all honesty I'd probably eschew the "dead Dino" mode in favour of keeping him in a distinctly alive posture but transforming the tail into the "flower cannon" to give the world MOBILE DINOSAUR-PROPELLED BIO-ARTILLERY
Two figures from Beast Wars Neo. The Stegosaurus is Saberback, and the Dimetrodon is Sling. They both had Trap Modes in which the two would disguise themselves as deadly flowers for the good guys to come along and fall victim to. This gimmick was retained in each of their mold's respective redecoed releases.Albatross250 wrote::roll:![]()

What are these Dino-plant thingies?

Kurona wrote:And really, much as I love him... fact of the matter is that Sixshot's modes just aren't very good. He's arguably one of the worst examples of 'cybertronian' modes out there aside from maybe Fort Max and Cybertron Metroplex; his modes don't really resemble what they're supposed to beyond a vague sort of idea of their silhouette. His draw was always that he could transform into six things, not what each of those six things were.

That opinion I can value. But with all the video and extensive photo reviews of the figure currently online, it doesn't take much effort to do a little research. I mean I already know Sky Shadow will be my next Purchase (Never had or cared about Thunderwing or Takara's Black Shadow back in 1989), but I've seen enough photos and videos to know the positives and negatives well in advance of my purchase. I know what I'll be getting when I get it.
That analogy only works if Titans Return Sixshot turned out to be a straight reissue of the bricky G1 mold instead of the new mold with modern day engineering and articulation that we got.LE0KING wrote:It's like Microsoft rereleasing windows 98 and expecting everyone to love it lIke they do.

fair enough, you take your chances I guess.LE0KING wrote:I also avoid the reviews of figures so I don't get spoiled, figuring out how to transform a toy is part of the fun.
So you do have some familiarity with this character.LE0KING wrote:That said, the only reason I picked Sixshot up is because he's an idw phase sixer, who single handedly beat the wreckers.

Sixshot's pretty badass.

Think of it this way. G2 Smokescreen, Energon Starscream, 2010 Terradive, and FOC Starscream all share the same core transformation scheme, yet the same technology to achieve the same conversion process wasn't the used for all four. G2 Smokescreen used 1995 Generation 2 toy engineering, Energon Starscream used 2004 Unicron Trilogy toy engineering, Terradive 2010 pre-DOTM Movieverse (mostly Revenge of the Fallen) toy engineering, and FOC Starscream used 2012 Generations toy engineering. A similar result was achieved each time through different levels of toy engineering.LE0KING wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That analogy only works if Titans Return Sixshot turned out to be a straight reissue of the bricky G1 mold instead of the new mold with modern day engineering and articulation that we got.LE0KING wrote:It's like Microsoft rereleasing windows 98 and expecting everyone to love it lIke they do.
Not to be bullheaded but I from what I can tell I don't see much improved engineering. I watched some videos about the G1 figure and he seems to transform almost exactly the same.
I know I'm coming off contrary, and I don't mean to. I'm just disappointed.

I get you though, "reptile" is a bit broad - but it's also the most agreeable designation - some believe that he's a dragon, others a T-rex, but at the very least most people can agree that he is some sort of reptile.
