The Velocitron figures aren’t even out yet at U.S. Walmarts. It’s way too early to panic.

There are lots of fears amongst fans regarding possible missing out on Cosmos. As of now, the toys is out of preorders on the US Walmart website and Pulse. Add to that the fact that he is shortpacked in the deluxe case and it's easy to see how panic could ensure. But it seems Hasbro has an answer to that. We have confirmation from Smith's toys that the deluxe cases they have received have only cosmos packed. We've seen this before with many other deluxes like TR Mindwipe, which end up putting a lot more product on the market and it's a practice Hasbro uses now and again. And it's not just Cosmos getting a solid box but Override and Hauler as well. It's impossible to know if Walmart US will receive those same solid cases but the good news is we know it's a current distribution option from Hasbro for fulfilling orders. And regardless of what ultimately happens, there being solid cases adds to the global supply removing the rarity of said figure which keeps secondary market prices down once the initial rush is over.

Here is what the retailer told us directly:

Yes, we received solid cases of each figure (Cosmos, Override and Hauler). However, depending on where you are that might be different. Some retailers might have just ordered case assortments rather than just individual figures

And he's being left on the shelves by those who have the previous cosmos... Well at least in my case.

Hopefully with the amount of people that have the previous cosmos that don't want this version should make it easier to get gor those that do.


Wouldn't be surprised if smyths doesnt stock black Scourge if they are already reducing legacy g2 prime.

A lot of the people in the US that don't want them will buy them anyway and sell them on eBay for 3x the price and probably get it.

Hopefully people in the US might trade a Siege Phantomstrike set for a Cosmos them then if it goes crazy prices It's crap if aany regions get screwed out of getting a toy easier than others.

What's with the photo?

Nothing wrong with the photos. It's trying to depict the existence of Case Allotments that only have nothing but Cosmos in them.

Walmart Canada do not do pre-orders online or off afaik. So I can only hope I can find it at retail (the 2 near me are utter crap, I couldn't find anything worth buying since 2017~18) and not get scalped. But if historic trends hold, it's almost ALWAYS the latter and I won't be getting Velocitron Cosmos.

Walmart Canada does do preorders. I preirdered Cosmos off them. He is out of stock now but others are available for pre-order

Walmart Canada never have anything available for me for preorder. It's broken for me somehow. Like, EVERYTHING is "Not available online" for the first 3 rows, then nothing loads afterward. Clicking on the "next" page load the same things as the first page. Everytime, Everyday. So I jsut assume it's for show (to know that it's in store) and not for pre-order. Does any of the items listed in the image below is available for you william-james88? If so, something weird is going on for me.

Yes, there is indeed something odd going on on your end. I am able to pre-order those toys.

On the same subject, often the add-block disrupt some site functions like preventing essential windows or buttons to appear. It's designed this way on purpose. So just deactivate your add-block for that site. That is, if the site is not a pirate/porn site, or anything shady of course.

The hunt is ON! For anyone in the US who was not able to preorder a Cosmos, he has been found at a US Walmart. The Valley View Walmart in Virginia to be exact. Below is an image of the case Wreckgar39 found, confirming the case contents. They also found leader class Scourge and both sighitngs were posted on the TFW2005 boards.

In Canada, the voyagers were found. It was said that the case content was 2 Overrides and 1 Hauler. The voyagers were found in Ontario by a few Canadians and the specific sighting in the picture below was poste by Renegade Decepticon.

ONE Hauler and TWO Overrides per cases. Yet there is no Override preorders on Walmart.ca.

B) cancel your pre-orders and just buy a case from Robot Kingdom (that's what a friend of mine did)

A) Due to being a Union Controlled city, NYC does NOT allow Walmart to do business. If it did I'd be far happier and poorer.

B) Back in the day I used to do a lot of business with Robot Kingdom but I discovered their prices were comparable to BBTS and 2-day Fed Ex shipping. Since there are still shipping issues from overseas it really doesn't pay. Also, between Walmart.com and Pulse I got everyone else.

We are providing an update to our original article, found below. After we posted it, TF fan Josh reported to us on Facebook that both the leader class and voyager class Velocitron toys were also found in Georgia. It is his image that you see in the thumbnail. This means that the entire line has been found in the US. Walmart is currently in the middle of a back to school reset (as is Target) so while many stores may have them, they may not have the time to put them up yet or are waiting for the proper time coinciding with their reset plans.

I like how classics hound looks, and he has ankle tilt. I also have a POTP Neachcomber in hand, and I'll never replace him. (Probably not even if the slider breaks)

I don't understand why try scalp something like that. I know it's a Walmart exclusive in the states but at least in the UK and, I'm guessing a good portion of Europe, there's a number of retailers who will be carrying them. Smyths have got them now (we've already had restocks of Override and Hauler) and IndemandToys have said they'll have them if they haven't already.
I expect there's going to be quite a decent amount of stock if they're able to get them to a number of UK retailers and the JP releases will likely be like the Netflix stuff which ended up showing on a lot of JP goods stores online.
He may be a challenge to get now, especially from what I hear about Walmarts seemingly poor store distribution but give it a bit and he should be relatively easy to get, surely?
But I guess scalpers are going to scalp and try take advantage of new product just to get that early profit before it becomes easy to get.
Also, while it'll probably come out as a slight repaint or with different accessories in a multipack, I doubt they're going to lock Cosmos behind that exclusive line for good. A lot of people have waited a while for a good new Cosmos it'd make no sense (plus gotta get that mold usage up to make up for the cost of a new mold being made in the first place)
