Max_Prime, personally, I reckon the HMW forum is in a pretty good state at the moment. Admittedly you'll always get an overinflated ego here or an irritating f**kwit there, but hey, that's life!

Now... if you were here about three years ago, that wasn't a pleasant time which should now be a forgotten memory now that the reset has happened. All we need is for certain people to grow up and let the past go, then this forum will be even better...

Kinda sounds to me like Germany*'s stance on the 1939-1945. Just because something bad happened doesn't mean you need to bury it and try to pretend it ever happened. Sometimes moving on means facing things you'd rather not, so as to put it behind you.

That being said what happened that was so bad that it's "the event that should not be named for fear of board Apocalypse"? How bad could it have possibly been?

*This is not a racist remark or me playing the blame game. I have several German friends, and honestly the subject's never came up. However their country is overly sensitive about what happened and their portrayal. To the point that VW Bugs can't be alien robot soldiers.

I think the fall out had closed the HMW boards at one point, and there were alot of people who left the boards all together.

I'm not sure what caused or when the HMW went down though, since it happend while I was not playing the game.
