Back to the current mission dilemma - what about scheduled missions? I imagine such a thing will take place / help with the territory map but it would also allow factions to pre-designate at certain times what transformers will join to participate in certain missions. Perhaps scheduling 6 hours or 12 hours ahead could encourage coordination.
Enabling that pre-planning would put other restrictions such as not entering other battles for 2 hours before the planned fight, not comitting to a fight in a time-frame that would use more than the 6 active TF slots, requiring AUTO CR so that the character is at full health before entering (and not left in stasis lock from a bad fight), etc.

Schedualled missions are not the answer. Then you just get a crap load of missions with no one to fill them, because there aren't people on. The only real thing wrong with the way the missions are currently set up is that it's running a system that was based for only two factions, not four. The beast factions are throwing it off, and the solution needs to take them into account. And writing when missions are going to be schedualed sounds like more code to write then adding a mission for gestalts.

Not if the system is built to prevent such a happening. However, the point is valid about the beasts. Some system to change what missions are generated so that they aren't poorly balanced would be most helpful. A weighting system (tracked like counting cards) or just simple rules such that G1 won't generate against beasts would help and would be simple.

Speaking of which - having the mission results / arena results as an RSS or some other web feed to which a player can subscribe would be interesting. Could be faction wide (e.g. Predacon Wins in the last 30 minutes) or just for each player. Might reduce server processing as the feeds would be lighter weight - might also reduce link / page hits which may not be desirable. So, it's just a thought.

it sounds like he is talking about CR time. The more you pay, the faster the repair would go, OR the higher ranked you are, the faster it would go...

it's also gonna meke up for the fact that a level 0 repairer is nigh usless for missions/arena

An alternative would be that repair assistance and xp is distributed evenly across damaged bots and repairing bots, respectively, rather than assignnig one-to-one. It would balance the XP out while still improving CR time.

The reason why Communism doesn't work in reality is because people are treacherous and untrustworthy. Anarchy worked perfectly fine for eons before a system of government every existed, and no one ever complained then. Mostly because they'd be killed by the far stronger less whiny members of the society. But I get what you're saying.
