S250 makes us consider this question,
"Is the 3rd Season of Animated, the final season?"
It seems just as the new Animated series was beginning to win over fans, and really hit its stride, bringing in new and interesting characters and plot lines, and having more than a few cliff hangers from Season 2 to try to wrap up for us, we hear this possible rumor. But when
S250 is involved it is not really a rumor, but ends up being a fact quite often. We hear not only the end is near for the show, but he also brings us information that the season will feature the death of a major character, and that there seemed to be a season 4 in the works as well.
So if you are on the prowl for new animated news, you may want to check out animated's chief designer
Derrick Wyatt's blog at
'A Delightful Tedium' to see if he says anything about this, or other topics of interest. To this point, he is expectedly quiet about it.
You can see S250's original post
here. Warning for the spoiler of who makes the ultimate sacrifice is also there in the thread.

Seibertron member DevastaTTor has found three design sheets for characters that can now be confirmed for the upcoming third season of Transformers Animated.
Look away now if you don't want to know who those three characters are (well two, as one is as yet unknown).
Fan Site
Laserbeak.org has revealed Season 3 character additions Alpha Trion, Dai Atlas, and a pretty chubby little Decepticon who's identity is still unknown.

Author of the two G1 Ark Compendiums released by
IDW Publishing, Jim Sorenson has updated his blog
Disciples of Boltax with another un-published page from the Compendiums.
This week Jim gives us a look at one of his pages from the G1 episode "Roll For It", where Prowl and Chip chase have to team up to defeat the Decepticons:
You know, it's odd. As much as I love Prowl, I've got very little material that features him. The closest I have is some designs from Roll For It, the aircraft factory where Prowl's battle computer gets damaged, forcing him to link up through the phone lines with Chip Chase.
For Jim's full blog update, including the full version of the image above check out his blog
Disciples of Boltax.

ACtoys- There hasn't been a lot of new information in the Transformers Animated Activators toy line lately.
The last items we heard about were upcoming Cliffjumper and Dirge repaints (Cliffjumper head remold though).
Finally, for those interested in this style, size, and representation, there is news of a new character and mold to be released at some point in this line.
Transformers Animated Soundwave looks to be making an appearance in this line at a point to be determined. No reference to any Lazerbeak, but he does not like to be included in any way.
Check out the original thread
here, and the images below.

A rumor starting
here suggests that Transformers Animated will
conclude after it‘s third season. The rumor began as an anonymous source claimed that Animated would end after season three. Then more un-named sources from within Cartoon Network were
unwilling to confirm or deny the rumor when asked.
Additionally, Marty Isenberg, the writer for Transformers Animated, has been asked to leave his office at Cartoon Network.
Now on
Derrick Wyatt’s blog, he too was asked if season three would be it for Animated. He responded:
“
Sorry, I can‘t comment on this.”
Which could imply that he cannot say the rumor is false…
Stay with Seibertron.com as updates surrounding this ongoing story come in.
