When Michael Bay got behind the camera for his most recent film, he chronicled a lot more than just automobiles transforming into robots from outer space. Millions of fans also watched then 21-year-old Megan Fox transform from an obscure actress best remembered for a Lindsay Lohan movie into one of the most desired hotties on the planet.
Now, the "Transformers" star is back on the set with Michael Bay – and true to the director's favorite word, she says he's making an awesome sequel.
"As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts," she told us about "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. "Shia and I make out a little bit; I don't know if anyone wants to see that."
Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it.
Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns.
"You know, we've been having script meetings, and we've been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer's strike," she explained. "And, we've just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they're in."
"I can tell you that we're on locations in some really exotic places," she added. "It's just going to be a badass movie. It's just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film."
As for Michael Bay's main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: "His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best." |

MTV Movie Blogs has just posted an article that does an interview/ confirmation that Transformers the movie 2 will
not be used to set up the third movie of the trilogy.
References to such movies as
Back to the Future and
The Matrix were made in the article to show examples of how the second film was used to set up the last piece of a three part series. Michael Bay has assured us,in this interview, that this will not be the case for TF2.
""You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? [The] First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”
Mr. Bay then goes on to explain some differences that the Transformers Trilogy will reflect from the aforementioned films and also gives us a little teaser.
The robots are going to surprise a lot of people because we go with a lot of different levels”.

Transformers Hispanos got a chance to sit down and talk with IDW Publishing Editor Denton J. Tipton recently. In the interview, we get our first look at Mr. Tipton's background and where he stands within Transformers fandom.
Within the interview, Transformers Hispanos interviewer Synapse asks a very interesting question:
Also what kind of story would you like to get published if you had total freedom (unused character one-shot, Japanese stuff...)?
Probably Simon Furman doing a Dinobots miniseries with Nick Roche. Oh, wait. I already get to do that! Did I mention that I have a great job?
Indeed you do have a great job Mr. Tipton, and we love that you have it.

This thursday, HASBRO will have it's first out of state Chief Executive Officer take over the company reigns in its 85 year existance. Brian Goldner will be set to lead the nation's second largest toy company and creators of the TRANSFORMERS.
Mr. Goldner will be succeeding Al Verrecchia, who has served at the position since 2000. Mr. Verrecchia had this to say about Mr. Goldner:
"[Goldner] has been at the forefront of Hasbro’s drive to bring innovation and growth to the toy industry and his tremendous experience and entrepreneurial spirit will serve him well in his new role.”
Mr. Goldner is definately not a stranger to the Transformers franchise either, as he served as Co-Producer opposite Steven Speilberg in the production of the 2007 live action movie.
Seibertron.com would like to congratulate Mr. Goldner on his new promotion at HASBRO, and offer our well wishes to you and HASBRO for the coming years.

The folks over at
MovieHole.net got a chance to sit down with Transformers the movie star Rachel Taylor. In the interview Ms. Taylor explains why she won't be appearing in TF2.
"I wasn't contracted for a sequel anyway, but I also think it would be pretty ridiculous for my character just to show up and say 'We've got some more computers to play with!"
Taylor has returned to Australia to shoot the new Australian film "The Cedar Boys" with Les Chantery ("Righteous Kill") and Martin Henderson ("Torque").

MTV Movie Blogs reports that Transformers the Movie producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has denied any creation of an aircraft carrier transformer for the sequel to the blockbuster hit film. This news came in conjunction with his remarks regarding the decision not to cast Jonah Hill for the second movie.
Taken from the MTV Movie Blog interview:
Lorenzo di Bonaventura “We never really talked about that, practically speaking,” he said of the character who might or might not have been known as Broadside, and who Bay has said was simply too expensive to create. “There was some Japanese animated movie we saw where that occurred, and we were like ‘Wow! Look at that thing!’”
So, for what some Transformers fans were hoping for in the second movie still remains to be the problem that it was in the first.
