Howdy, is anyone looking for Transformers Robots In Disguise Warrior class Thunderhoof or Quillfire? If you live in the US you may soon be in luck. Following the recent Canadian sighting both Thunderhoof and Quillfire has been spotted a little farther south, actually much farther south at Wal-Mart in Baton Rouge, LA by this news staffer.

Both were found alongside fellow wave mate Blizzard Strike Autobot Drift. A few of the other usual suspects (Megatronus and Fracture) where hanging on pegs next to them. To peep Thunderhoof, Quillfire and the rest of the RID Decepticon gang click here.

Let me know what you think of that Quillfire, Cary. I just picked him up from his bin today to play with him again, he's just so fun.

I already got the Takara Quillfire because he came out first, but I'll probably get this one anyway if I see him. He's such a fun little figure, easily my favorite from the whole line so far. I'll probably skip Thunderhoof though, he just doesn't impress me as much.

Shelf warming? I'd be lucky to even see these guys much less have there be plenty. Mind you shelf warming does NOT mean several on a shelf. That means actual stock as in, expectations that people can buy it. My Walmart does the whole one box for each wave thing and it means I only ever see a single toy and then it's empty for 2 months.

Nah, they've been available online for a while now, but are just hitting shelves. In about a month people will be complaining that they are peg warming though.

I strongly recomend Fracture as well, that is some top level to design!

Also guys, I dont get how we can even call toys shelfwarming when they are the latest toys to be out. If they are there a year later, thats shelf warming. Anytime before and its just restocking for anticipated demand, especially in a line which includes older toys as part of its waves.

I agree! Picked him up a week ago and he is impressive. Probably the peak of the line for me because I haven't seen a RiD15 hit all those notes so well. At least so far. Any other recommendations? I don't watch the show so I'm looking for interesting designs and such.

I am trying to decide on a Thunderhoof. It seems like you have to pick either nice face scan or proportionate antlers. Any suggestions?

Well I just gushed all over THoof and Qfire over on my collection here.

Well each warrior figure has something interesting going on, but if you just want a down and dirty quick list of highligts:

Jazz
Drift
Thunderhoof
Fracture
Quillfire

I feel Quillfire is interesting/fun enough to stand alone and worth checking out even if you don't watch the show or collect the toys.

The Decepticons seen more interesting overall than the Autobots. Something about them being beast-bots do it for me. Most of their transformations seem a little more unique as well.

If you're trying to round out your roster then consider going outside just the warrior class.

1 step Springload and legion Fixit scale very well with the warriors. Fixit is just a good figure on his own.

:-( My Fracture didn't come with a Kickstand :-(

Not that it interferes with much, the folded gun props him up pretty well, but I was playing with hi9m, wondered why he had an extra hole on him that the gun didn't fit into, and then went and looked at pictures...

Otherwise, I completely agree, it's an impressive Boom Stick and a great, engaging Transformation while not being difficult. And fairly sleek in both modes

IS Springload a good figure, though? O would want a Spring Load, but not a shelf queen figure.

I passed on Drift and Jazz, they didn't really feel like better figures than their Generations counterparts, but I really did like the weapons arrangement on Drift.

For a one step, sure. Scales wells and fits the bill. Would I rather a proper deluxe warrior? Absolutely!

Drift is a nice figure, but comparing Gen and RID is like comparing apples and pears. Similar but different; lets be honest, apples tastes better.

Thunderhoof is an awesome figure. the warrior looks very buff and muscular and his antlers are actually the combine's front. He is a bit skinny. but his transformation is fun and there is no kibble whatsoever. Highly recommend him.

Quillfire is also really good by himself. very unique transformation and he has a detachable quill!

legion fixit puts all other legions to shame. And maybe most of the other figures too. :MAXIMAL:

Fracture is the best and the rest are all at a tier lower. Good for the toyline, but overall just not at the same level. The other 2 I happen to really like are Drift (either deco, the actic one is quite interesting with the clear plastic wheels) and Quillfire which has that interesting design you'd be looking for.

Just found Thunderhoof, Quillfire, and the new minicon 4 pack with weapon Slipstream at a Walmart in SW PA. It was hard to not take Quilly and the 4 pack with me but I spent all my money on Marvel Legends a few weeks back. :( Based on the other sightings it seems like Walmarts are getting them in.

We had seen Legion Groundbuster (the toy rendition of the decepticon called Groundpounder on the Robots in Disguise show) at the 2016 Toy Fair in package but we never did get stock images. Well we have them now, from a listing at Bigbastoystore. For anyone wondering where the Legion class has gone, it is alive and well in the Robots in Disguise line. As with Clampdown (and Underbite if you don't want a 1 step), this is so far the only way to get this character as a transforming toy. It is a Gorilla themed robot that turns into a construction vehicle.

Oh boy. A giant character in the smallest toy possible, and in an entire wave of blue...

'Course, I'd have been all over this guy back during RotF when I was all obsessed over tiny construction-themed Decepticons. He pulls off the oddball proportions rather nicely, in both modes to boot!

Mini-Cons in this line are Buzzsaws, Torpedoes, Cyclones, Weaponizers, and whatever Fixit's model turns into.

We finally got stock images for Transformers Robots in Disguise Legion Groundbuster yesterday and now we have a video review. This comes to us from chefatron, who informs us in this review that the toy is not shortpacked. That is good news to fans of the Legion class. This seems to also be the most articulated figure yet from this class for the line.

Fellow Seibertronians, our fellow user Chuckdawg has posted a video review of Transformers RID Minicon Weaponizers Strongarm and Sawtooth. This is a new figure of Strongarm which includes a Minicon partner, which can now be used as a weapon, when combined with the armor that Strongarm comes equipped with. The review has been posted below, so check her out, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Strongarm looks great! Sculpt wise. But, her lack of paint in alt mode is a real let down. She looks unfinished. Poor girl keeps getting jipped in the paint department. I promised myself I wouldn't do this, but I may wait to see what Takara does. I just like the character so much, and I'd like to have this toy.

Lil Bisk looks good. I'm glad RID is carrying the torch for the Legion class.

Yes, they are both decepticons ;)

Aside from that, they are very different and as related to eachother as any decepticon is related to another. One is tall and powerful (pretty deadly one on one) and the other is a pint sized bot that is meant to be the butt of a joke.

Decepticon Decapod Crustaceans to be exact. Crabs (Clampdown) and Lobsters (Bisk) belong to the same Order (Decapoda), but are in separate branches from there (Brachyura for Crabs, Astacidea for Lobsters, Crayfish and their kin).

While both of these toys have already been revealed at Botcon 2016, we didnt get stock images of Robots in Disguise Warriors Power Surge Optimus Prime and Scatterspike, aside from CG renders of the later. Now, thanks to hobbybrinquedos, we have stock images of the actual toys. Better than that, we have the package images which gives us a good look at what Scatterspike will look like in the Robots in Disguise show. While the toy is a straight up redeco of Quillfire the character seems to have more of a different look. Also, we have images of the new packaging for all the rereleased Warrior figures which now sport the Weaponizer subprint. These are the very same figures and the reason why Hasbro can still promote them as being compatible with the weaponizer minicons is because all that is needed to interact with them is a 5 mm port. Hopefully the rereleased Grimlock will fix the problems of the original release.

Hasbro's promoting Scatterspike at the BotCon 2016 panel was an odd one. John Warden hyped the character up as having a twist for us to look forward to in season 2, but Scatterspike never appeared in season 2. Quillfire did, but there wasn't a twist with him either, unless one counts his having gotten his own Mini-Con duo, Back and Forth, but that's not really a twist since practically every Decepticon-of-the-day in Season 2 had their own Mini-Cons.
