I'm glad to see the thread humming again, not that I've been any help. Congrats TT! Sightings have been fairly nonexistent. I'm excited for the ROTF, mostly because we've been following news about it since opening weekend of the 1st movie. Universe "ending" stinks, has anyone seen a Ratchet lately? I also have to spring for the Red Alert.

BotCon doesn’t feel like it’s 2 weeks away, I contemplated looking for a cheap flight via Spirit, but work has been busy, so I probably couldn’t go anyway.

On a slightly unrelated note, I finally joined Twitter after being critical from afar. I definitely like it thus far. I’m at twitter.com/therealjoesmith

well, I broke down and preordered the gears of war set. It just looks too cool. Plus all the pics of Henkei Red Alert with the missile launcher just look amazing. I keep checking BBTS every 10 minutes waiting for them to put up a preorder for the Powered Commander Armor. :grin:

I want that so bad.

haha yea, I totally agree.

A quick follow up to the whole Kmart thing; I ended up submitting a complaint to the company and they said that they would get back in contact with me within 48 hours about the problem... still haven't heard a single thing back from them. Kmart is just digging themselves a deeper hole.

I don't think I'll use Twitter for the real time updates, like 'hey I'm @ this particular bar' etc., but I do like the news gathering aspect and seeing how celebs and companies are handling it for marketing and PR purposes.

I would like to attend the con, but it depends on what the Wings do. When is the Seibertron meetup?

If you want to save on parking at the con, mention you're going to the Sports Card show to the parking attendant. Parking's free for Sports card people and 5 bucks for Motor City.

i will be going to the comic con saturday. as for the meet up, on sat. why dont we meet at the food area? if there is one. about 12:30? is that a good idea? i am geeked about going. this is my first big con. even though i have been to a couple xtravacons, this is alot different. i cant wait.

On a TF note, I'm miffed at Walmart! They had four of the ROTF voyagers (Prime, Ironhide, Starscream and Demolisher) out and price tagged but when I went to check out, they took Demolisher (I only tried to get him) away as a recalled product... If it's freaking being recalled, DON'T TAG IT OR STOCK IT! Stupid Walmart, you fail...grr! I did at least get the robot heroes set with Sideways and Sideswipe

I need them both as deluxes...

just got back from the novi comic convention. a severe lack of any worthwile transformers.

show seems to get smaller and smaller every year. i was really hoping to find some ROTF figures there. not a one. not even preview figures.. oh well guess i gotta wait till the 30th for the big relese. but on the way back i did find an activators cliffjumper at the grand blanc walmart

Just got back from the Meijer on Middlebelt in Livonia and picked up their last Voyager Class Starscream. They also had a Voyager Class Optimus Prime there, but didn't really have the cash to get both, so the Optimus should still be there... at least for another few hours.

It was good seeing everyone, again, at MCCC. Though, I have to agree with some of the previous posts...there WAS a severe lack of transformers items. Not only that, but I didn't realize that there were still TRU's that had the 25th anniversary OP still in stock. I mean, I know they retail for $70, but I remember seeing them hit shelves last December before I left and thinking to myself "I don't have the money...well, so much for another chance to own a reissue OP."

There was a week back in January I believe when Target had a half dozen of those Primes marked down to $25 clearance...I totally regret not buying one myself.

As for the con...this absolutely made my day:

Okay im new to the baord but thought this could be good info for some michigan members.

In cedar Springs MI they just opened the new mijers today and guess what they have all the movie figs out!!!!

I just got done buying the new iron hide and starscream. They had demolisher and prime in the voyager forms as well as prime in his leader. They also had a few scouts that didnt intrest me (they look breakable).

the only dissapointment was they had the B.B delux but no soundwave!!! You better hurry though seings they only had three of each voyager and 3 of each scout.. didnt check on leader prime

oh and in Jenison ( a part of Grand Rapids ) They had the new waves of Universe ( Leo Prine Overload and Vector Prime ) They have the deluxes in their computers but cannot go to the back and grab any (lazy people). Probably wouldnt make it out the door anyhow (darn)

So, nothing new to report on the TF front except for the 25th anniversary OP's I mentioned in an earlier post. HOWEVER, while lurking about the Novi Meijers and Target stores I came across a slew of reissue TMNT, if anyone's interested. Between the two stores you could get the original Rocksteady, Beboop, April, and all four turtles.

Yeah, the con was a bit disappointing. I wound up just buying two t-shirts. I am glad someone had razors, though.

I saw a ROTF Ironhide at Livonia Walmart and the ROTF Robot Heroes at Livonia Target today.

*EDIT* Just got back Target. Still no ROTF stuff, but The Target in Battle Creek does have Universe Inferno and Leo Prime in stock and on clearance.

WooHoo! Just got back from Lapeer Meijer. If you're lookin for any scout, deluxe, robot heroes, or leader Megatron, get out there. they had plenty of scouts and deluxes(all except Soundwave) and one Megs. I got the only Prime. went to 4 other Meijers in the area lookin for a starscream but no luck. oh well i got plenty to keep me for a while. :grin:

I took a quick look on ebay, recently...you can actually buy them for less then retail, right now. But...they're still not quite that juicy $25 price tag
