Cuase there's more to alcohole than just liquor...

Why do you guys say soccer instead of football, pants instead of trousers (what do you call actual pants? undercrackers?), sidewalks instead of pavements, railroads instead of railways and the subway instead of the underground?

Just remember who's language it is before you start shouting on about what things should be called!

You sir speak english, we speak American.

American is much more than just english as we mix in ebonics and spanish and whatever made up jibberish comes out of a celebrity's mouth.

English was an Anglo-Saxon dialect adopted by the peoples of the british isles before being perfected through perversion in the Americas.

Soccer/football: We've argued about that to many times, not going there

Pants/Trousers: A pair of pants is a pair of pants! I think what you're referring to by "pants" is underwear, boxers, and briefs. Trousers is just a silly phrase!
sidewalks/pavements: Sidewalk because its on the side of the road and you walk on it.
Railroad/Railway: its called both over here really
Subway/Underground: Because over here when someone says "underground" people usually think of the underground railroad or underground as in music, movies, comics, something thats not in the mainstream. At least I do

To be fair, he's from Texas, which is redneck to the nth degree. They have drive through liqour stores, have no problem executing mentally ill people and children, and were trying to put an express lane to their electric chair in.

I thought they banned the execution of retarded people in Texas? Which led to this quote "****, where's the fun now. I spent the first 16 years of my life in Texas. As a kid it's a fun place to be. I still have many friends down there. Just like every other state it has it's ups and downs. I mean come on Texas has the Schlitterbahn! And, yes we violated some Deutsch also

They are pretty good, third in the league right now. And asuming thats the match from a couple of weekends ago, they scored twice, in the last 5 minutes to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, much to mine and many other's anoyence.

In other news, Man U absolutly and utterly stomped West Brom (with the help of some sertiously dodgey refereeing) and have a new premier league record 11 games without conceding a single goal.

To be honeset, this season, more than any others in recent times, litrally anybody can win against anybody. The top teams (who's number has once again rissen, from 4 ot 5 now) aren ot as all conquering as they have been in the past, and virtully anybody who isnt in the top 5 or 6 is still very caperble of gettign relegated by the end of the season.

This is one of the most entertaining seasons I can remember. I just wisht people would stop hining about the *same old teams* being 'dominant'.

Since the premiership has started, then umber of season in and season out contenders has seadily grown. At first, it was pretty much the Man U show, then it was the Man U and Arasenal show, then the Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea show, then the last couple of years Liverpool have joined in too, and this year Aston Villa have hijacked a place in the top of the table tussle too!

Add to that stats like when Man U faced Wiggen a few weeks ago, if the league had started 10 games earlier, it would have been a top two clash (at the time, United were in 3rd, and Wiggen were mid to lower table) and you can see it's a very open and entertaining league. Hell, maybe this year the Geordies may even go down at long bloody last!

So does any one know when the wovlerine and the x-men cartoon comes out in the us? i've seen the first 5 episiodes online, but they said they'd be out in janurary. so when are they coming out?

It debuted this past friday.

They are showing two episodes every friday I believe.

It was pretty awesome! I'm really impatient though. I want to see the rest of the show without waiting every week :lol:
