I never get to watch hockey anymore, but growing up my favorite teams were the Red Wings and Penguins. How are they doing this year? I know last year they both made it to the finals and Detroit won, but thats all I know

Boo Wings lol. Penguins are in...10th i believe, because our win tonight put us in 9th. Wings are i wanna say top of their division.

Growing up in NE Ohio the teams that were considered our "home teams" were the Red Wings and Penguins. Even though they're both two hours away from here. Well, Detroits like three hours I think, maybe four.

I started liking the Rangers a little but for some reason I thought it was dumb for me to like a hockey team from New York AND a baseball team. Thinking on my logic now, it made no sense :lol:

I really want to go to a Lake Erie Monsters game. I've never been to a hockey game and the Q is about an hour away

So why not a Blue Jackets fan then?

Av's used to be my number one team, up until the lockout and then because of the cap they let practically all of my favorites go, cause by fall '05 all my favorites, except Sakic, were gone, Foote, Blake, Forsberg, Roy(retired...and yes i know what he does, only a fan of his hockey playing not off-ice life). But Foote is back now i believe, and Forsberg is possible to come back.

2000 is when they were founded right? Yeah I was 13 in 2000, so I had probably already became a fan of the Penguins. I don't know, that seems so long ago :lol:

seems like forever since I've done the games myself. FE has made lots of improvements they look good. Nice work.

We went to a battle of the bands night, then some club. I can only remember 2 of the 4 bands, and wobbling a lot at the club.

I hadnt eaten that much before I went out, and then I drank surprisingly quickly. As a result I got very drunk for the first time since my local stopped doing Stella Artois.

how many people actively play HMW?

Actively play? At a guess, about 650-700.

(Take the High Score Totals and divide them by 12 = 652 rounded up to take into account the non complete teams.)

Id say maybe 150-200 of them will be hardcore players who at least lurk here.

Question is, how may can expect to have once HMW2 goes live?

With the right front-page news I guess a 1000 or so the first month and depending on interstingnessnessesses (and a good deal of linking on other TF sites) a rise if it's good and a decline to the current number right now...

Innitally, much like the current run of V1, the popularity will be enourmous. Then, as playtime starts to allow some to pull ahead, a lot of people will see their team drop down the table and lose interest. After a few months? Virtully everybody who is here now, and probably a few V2 johney come latelys who managed to stick in with the pace of the top runners.

The main advantage it should have is retaining more in the long term (as long as it's as good as its being said it is) and atracting more batches of new people as new things are added.

Well, OS has already warned us that the WarMap portion of the game wont be finished at the start and a portion of the altmodes/tactics wont be available 'til later in the game so the hope is that as these things are added those with a shorter attention span can find stuff to keep their minds interested a bit longer.

Then of course there are also the Gestalt and Triplchanger keys that will turn up after a while...

I was amazed people still had to catch on about the "bot creation keys" as the teaser video clearly shows pictures of said item and their description. though it's nice to hear OS finally decided on the 12 bots.

anyway.. HMW is still an obsession.. even though I didn't play for three weeks trying to get it out of the system.. happy to see the new mission brackets help increase the maximum scores for the bots fighting :APPLAUSE:

Hopefully not. The high score table will be less relevant to many, as when the warmap is released we will actually have a proper war between the 4 factions instead of just the dull xp-race we have now.

This game was much more fun when the scores actually mattered.

Whilst I agree that the game will be more than an XP race, it will still be a large part of it, and there will be a large part of the population that will still be looking twoards that direction.
