I picked up Uni Cheetor today, and good lord he's a horrible figure. There's some interesting things built in, like I like the flip panel that holds the shoulder assembly, but I have to say, he's the worst figure I've gotten recently, especially compared to some of the recent toys, like Uni Cyclonus, who's friggin awesome.

Animated Blurr/Mach 5 with saw blade action is pretty nice though. Picked him up today too. ^_^

I just got animated Grimlock and Swoop. Grim's sweet, but swoop....

He may look good, and he may be very posable, but that bloody back peice and those bloody chest pieces spend 99% of their time refusing to stay connected... And the arms and his arse plate constantly fall off, oh, yeah and his head falls off a lot too.[/color]

I don't like Grimlock's lower jaw being like that. I'm contemplating selling my kidney for MP Grimlock.

Luckily Cheetor doesn't have Movie Brawl's problem with the should joints not staying attached to the body. Sounds like you may have gotten a bad Swoop if he falls apart that much.

The ball joint on the head isnt tight enough, and his arse plate isnt either, the rest's ok.

I am 99% certain that small peice of blue plastic connecting the wings to the back has been put in the wrong way round, which is why his shoulders refuse to line up properly, unfortunetly, the pin keeping it in is a stuborn bastard....

Just sell your PS3, you know it's worthless and you know you want the Trannysaures Rex that is waiter-mode Grimlock.

Sure, PS3 is useless, if I don't want to play games with better resolution and watch bluray movies.

Besides, I'll need something for when my 360 breaks.

MY wife knocked a MP Prime off of a display/cupboard (about 6 feet high) while vacuuming, the only think that broke was a tab on a ratchet joint in his right leg. we can only hope MP Grimmy will be built that bad-ass.

Something in the waist of my MP1 broke and now he's permanently turned to the side a little in robot mode.

Still transforms fine and if I ever had the space to display he can sit in truck mode with the MP4 trailer while the MP4 figure can stand in robot mode.

they worry about toy safety and spring loaded weapons.. but feck, the spring in his upper leg is stiff. I was loosening the screws and the parts from his leg really jumped all across the place. It could've killed a goldfish.

I'll agree with this...even though i own a 360 and not a PS3  .

Plus PS3 is better at personalizing than 360. Xbox you have to use whatever themes they give you, and even then they cost(generally). PS3 you can make your own. Want a HMW theme? You can on PS3, but deffinately not on 360.

Trud dat. Biggest waste of money concol I have ever bought. Im still using my PS2 I bought 2 months after starting my first none paper round job (summerish '02), and it's still going strong, I bought my game cube in the second half of my first year at uni (spring '04) and had all but lost interest with it by the time I got to my second year at uni... Even my brother, (who is something of a Nintendo whore) got bored with it long before he got himself the Wii...

As for the current gen concols:
Xbox: Its bad enough I have to sell my soul to the devil/Bill Gates when I am using my PC. Im am NOT giving that guy money to buy a concol too. Anyway, my bro's had one for a good few months and I still have felt no interest in using it.
Wii: A silly stupid concol for silly stupid people and the terminaly bored fitness freak. No interest in it at all.
PS3: As a bit of a playstation whore, in an ideal world, I would buy this, but until they give it a few more games, it's little more than an expesnive paperweight, and even if it did have a few more games, it's still far to expensive. Yes, it has the next gen of DVD, but who cares, I cant aford to buy any blueray disks, and frankly I dont know anywhere local that sells them. So, I think, all in all, I'll stick to playing Pro Evo 6, GT4, verious GTA3 games, and verious Final Fatisy games on my trusty old PS2, and use the PC for everything else.

The End.

I bought the PS2 the first day it came out here in holland.. a whopping 1200 guilders (600 dollars or so) at that time. After that, Sony dissapointed me time and again. the network adapter, the harddisk they just couldn't get things right (compared to the xbox)

right now, I can't find ONE compulsive reason to buy a PS3 as watching very expensive movies on a very expensive console is certainly not a PLUS. my 360 is hot and noisy and the Wii is fun when you and some mates had a drink and that's it. it's the V-Tech of the consoles.

The last console I bought was a Sega Master System II.

What gaming I do do is pretty much all PC based.

That being said, I played a Wii a few weeks ago. As a "family oriented" console it's great. I'm contemplating getting one next Christmas to play with my nephew (who'll be a few months short of turning 4).

I haven't used a 360 or a PS3, in fact i've only played the original incarnations and I can tell that for serious more "adult" gaming, the XBox or Playstation beats the Wii hands down.

Wii - Great for family gaming, not for blood and gore.

PS3 also allows you to customize the boot up screen too, and you can install a windows OS if you don't like Linux. Games on both the 360 and the PS3 look better on the PS3 (reverse of last gen when they looked better on the gamecube and xbox then they did on the ps2)

And lets compare exclusives.

Halo 3 is more like Halo 2.5, and the next game Master Chief is in may not even be on the 360 or any Microsoft product since Bungie left Microsoft and they own the rights to Master Chief (Microsoft, as compensation, owns the name Halo).

Gears of War: The first one was great. It was Epic. The second one... was a fun play through, but really, that's all. And it has all of the glitches and bugs from the first game, plus some new ones.

God of War 3: Looks to be building up to be pretty epic.

Killzone 2: Pretty much what Gears and Halo should have been.

Resistance 2: Same as Killzone 2.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Nothing else needs to be said about this masterpeice.

Folklore: Extremely underrated. One of the best RPGs on the new consoles. And it has more expansion stuff then any 3 of the 360 RPGs.

Uncharted: Awesome.

Yeah, the Wii is gimmicky, but it's got some good games.

If you have more than 3 mates or energetic kids/siblings/etc., the Wii is excellent fun. If you only play with a couple of mates at a time or prefer more mature themed games, the traditional consoles are defiately better suited.

360 still wins for me though, but I am not a Sony fan in any way.

Right now Im lamenting the inability of the Command and Conquer series to improve on Generals/Zero Hour. Sure, Red Alert 3 is an infintily more enjoyable game than Tiberian Wars, but it is also a step down in terms of looks and some of the features, and still simply isnt as adictive as Generals was.

I think the big problem is this: Generals wasnt really a CnC game. It was a much better game than that. They disgaurded some features of the CnC games that have been there since the start, and it made for a far more enjoyable game. But, as usual, the fanboys whinged, and cryed, and bitched and moaned. So they went very traditional with Tiberian Wars. It was aweful. Seriously, no fun what so ever. Each faction has one way to win a war, and thats it, and the add-on, horendously bad. The Nod without their air units were rubbish, so they have oen nod sub-army with no air units and shite all in the way of replacment units. Genious! That makes the Chinese Troop General in Zero Hour look like f**king Shaft!

Now, on to Red Alert 3. It's a good game. Not as good as Generals, but good. I love the fact each faction has a completly different building technique, I think that's a genious idea. Unfortunetly, it also means that the Japanese win, everybody else loses. The margin of error when on medium difficulty, be it the missions or the skirmishes, is tiny. On more than one ocasion I have been completly undone in both, and whilst at times I like a good chalenge, I think that good chalenge should come from facing *hard* enemies. If I cant even garentee a decent chance of winning at medium, how the hell am I ever gonna want to go near hard?

Mind, I have found myself thinking, on more than one occaision, that maybe all Red Alert 3 needs, to make it every bit as good as Generals/Zero Hour, is simply a better economy, becuase running out of money isnt a risk like in most CnC games, it's a cirtainty, and getting hold of extra resources, especilly if you're not the japanese, is *Very* difficult at the early stages, and even harder once the enemies have had a chance to spread.

And relax.
Boy I'm in a ranty mood today.

Tiberian Wars was actually the first CnC game I played, and I moved onto it after finishing Dawn of War.

Took a bit of getting use to, still definitely preferred DoW over TW but it was still an enjoyable game. Had a problem with the video cut scenes, audio was out of synch, a patch probably would have fixed that but I couldn't be arsed downloading such things.
