Nicktoons Network. Be sure to double check that you have it though, because it's digital cable only and only some providers carry it. Because i tuned in to Nickaloden at 8pm friday for only stupid Spongebob to come on, then i find out it's a completely different channel and that Time Warner doesn't carry...but another local provider here does, pissed me off.....Oh well, i'm up to date on episode 15 now(freakin canadian's got it started last fall.)

That's what i don't get about futbol/soccer. You have that huge ass goal to score with, yet when i see scores no one hardly scores more than maybe 3 or so on average, and theres even shutouts....you'd just think there would be more with a goal that big lol.

Yes they did...the Apocalypse storyline was the last arc they did. It ended the show

Technically they did 'wrap up' the series in the final episode, with Xavier having seen glimpses of the future thanks to Apocalypse(As Original Sin just beat me to it lol.). Crappy ending though if you ask me, but it's WB's fault it ended that way. But then again, all the good cartoons get bad news around season 5 it seems. G1, didn't even make it to season 5. X-men TAS, cut after 5 i believe. X-men: Evo, wasn't even given a 5th. the new TMNT, ok that's still going but after 'The lost season'/Ninja Tribunal, i believe most will agree the switch from the 2k3 style to the Fast Forward style, well, sucked.

It's not just the animation, but also the overall feel. The 2k3(early 4 n half seasons) are how they should be, and the '87 did that with the first season and a half, but then it got too goofy.

And i agree, the lost season was awesome, probably the best of the whole series thus far. My only gripe is that 'City At War' was way too short.

You've obviously never played or watched a game to ask that question. The closest american equivelent is hockey. The size of the goal is bigger, but there's more people hanging back at the net to defend it when the other team attacks. In the game I watched, Stoke's was running 8 defenders plus the goalie.

Can't speak to most of those, but I know X-Men TAS ended because it was no longer financial viable to produce. Marvel wrote about it in the X-Men comics at the time. Apparently it comes to a point when production costs outway the gain on animated tv shows, despite popularity.

Evolution I think got canned because of low ratings (as most things on WB had) and the closing of the WB broadcasting stations.

I played a little during gym class in middle and highschool, haha.

But no other than that i have not played or watched much, as it doesn't interest me all that much. It's a good sport in it's own, just doesn't interest me. But i do catch highlights on Sportscenter very often. And often find myself asking, why not shoot/kick when you have a shot, even though those people are there they have a slight lane to shoot. If you do, depending on how disciplined the other team is, they won't reach out with their hands and draw a penalty. And it's still a big target to hit.

So just because they wont use their hands they wont move in to block the shot? I watched Chelsea take about a half dozen shots before they scored, about a dozen through the part of the game that I watched before they scored. It's just like Baseball or football. The defenders don't stand there and let it go by. They move in to stop/deflect it, and so does the goalie. It's big target, but there are a lot of people moving infront of that big target cutting off the angles. Just like a baseball field is a awefully big place to hit a ball and get on base, but no one has hit over .400 since Ted Williams.

Except there's more people you'd have to try to feint (and they do try) and a lot more defenders near the net then in hockey. And the defenders are also pretty skilled too. It's not like they're playing the local highschool. AND, while they can't use their arms, there's still their body, legs, and head they can use to intercept the ball. Much like hockey or basketball, you generally have to pass the ball around to try to create a mismatch so you have a better shot at getting a shot off. But, unlike those two sports, a soccer ball has a tendancy to spin a lot more. Think a knuckleball or really wicked curve or slider. And while in a videogame, I can pretty reliably (and literally) kick a ball around six or seven defenders for a goal, it's not that simple in real life.

Again though, it's simular to hockey. It's not uncommon for a hockey game to end 2-1, or 2-0 or even 1-0. Hell, it used to be a 0-0 game wasn't unheard of. Hockey just uses less people and more armor. And is on ice.

You also have to bare in mind how huge a football pitch is, it is a lot bigger than a hockey rink or a basketball court. You try running from one end of the pitch to the other, keeping the ball from your oposition, get around 4 or 5 very skilled defenders who arnt scared of a strong tackle, shape up to shoot in the one angle that the goalie cant rach, and actully hit that spot, and you'll suddenly see why goals arent a 1 a minute thing.

It has to be said that knock out competitions wouldnt be as anywhere near as fun if scoring goals was easier, when you are winning by a solitary goal, or losing by a solitary goal, with the clock ticking away, it's increadibly nervrackign and facinating, even more entertaining of you dont directly suport either team.

In other news, Liverpool have drawn *again*, meaning United are still 2 points in the lead, and with a game in hand, Arsenal snatched a draw in the last seconds of their match with Everton, the perpetual joke that is Man City beat the perpetual joke that is Newcastle 2.1 and Wst Ham beat my second team (Hull, I went ot uni there) 2.0

There's a few gaps starting to apear in the table, and some surprising team positionings still.

Yeah, I have to say I found the last half hour of that match highly entertaining, even though I had never heard of Stoke before, and before Seibertron, Chelsea was from a song by Steppen Wolf covered by AAA.

Aye, and apart from perhaps the offside rule (which isnt *that* complicated) it's a very easy game for the casual viewer to pick up and understand. Unlike rugby (and I'm gusseing American Football) which is uterly confounding to the casual viewer, especilly when you dont actully know which version of Rugby you are watching, and what the actual differences between them are.

American Football isn't that hard to follow

Ive only listened to it for about 5 minutes on the radio, then decided, all in all, I'd have more fun nailing my penis to a rusty vinigar soaked knife...

Trying watching it, its far more entertaining that way. I never got the appeal of listening to sports

The other half the time they're making wrong calls or calls that don't need to be made. People in Seattle are still pissed about the calls in Superbowl XL against the Steelers.
