Pretty much sums up my feelings. For all their good lately, this kind of makes me feel disillusioned. And even with all the explanations, no ones said what the deal is with those stripes on the shins...Kurona wrote:I'm not entirely sure there's a word in the English lexicon to describe the extents to which I'm underwhelmed and disappointed right now. Is this really it? What's the red strip on his legs even supposed to be? Why did you even bother redecoing him for this release if this is all you're going to do?
Nailed it, Carn!!Carnivius_Prime wrote:I tried to make mine copy your figure's pose cos it's cool.

Is that the OS Arcee?! And which Targetmaster?

Ah, disillusionment. Totes a word, Chrome didn't correct it.shajaki wrote:Pretty much sums up my feelings. For all their good lately, this kind of makes me feel disillusioned. And even with all the explanations, no ones said what the deal is with those stripes on the shins...

He's reaaaaaally posable. And after tightening up his joints in his legs he's even better!!Carnivius_Prime wrote:Thanks. And replicating your figure's pose made me realise Hot Rod can bend forwards at the waist. I didn't notice that before. Knew he could turn at the waist (even that is a bonus when it's available on a figure though I can understand on some where transformation doesn't allow for it) but yeah didn't realise he had that extra articulation there too. Cheers.itscramtastic wrote:Very nice Carnivus, very nice indeed!! Gotta get those weapons where you can!!
Excellent work, Sabrblade!Sabrblade wrote:shajaki wrote:And even with all the explanations, no ones said what the deal is with those stripes on the shins...
Is that Autobot emblem larger on this guy? I thought it looked bigger but I have mine covered up by the Reprolabel (making it close to that size). Carnivus Prime's shot made me realize it I think!!Cyberpath wrote:Here's one more...

I'm not gonna judge (nor am I here to) Carn!! I did read that the KO improved things, even adding clearance in alt mode!! And a free Matrix is always nice. I should probably get a KO to take on adventures.Carnivius_Prime wrote:Mine do seem pretty tight overall. Dunno if that's cos it was a cheap 'KO' version that may have improved on any joint loosness? I dunno. It did include the Matrix to put in his chest which i been told the official release doesn't.itscramtastic wrote:He's reaaaaaally posable. See now I feel I shouldn't even be posting in this topic cos I bought the very cheap (but very high quality) one from china whereas a lot of you folk probably spent lots of money on official product.
Hooray errors!! If they get the color right (by accident on a few) is it an error of an error that ends up being accurate?!Sabrblade wrote:So just so it's clear, this deco is accurate to how Hot Rod looked in The Rebirth, in which he was colored in Rodimus Prime's animation-erroneous deco that AKOM made frequent use of in Season 3. So hes accurate to an incorrect color scheme.
The shin stripes, however, are a case of Takara treating the lighting/shading on Hot Rod's shins as literally as possible.

The engine block lifts up to provide another weapon port even on the non-Targetmaster version? I did not know this. I was using the guns on the roof... which to be honest I think I prefer anyways as it makes more sense (especially if he has passengers who'd like to actually see out of the windshield properly) and just looks better. But yeah I didn't know about that.

Sorry, Carn, must'v missed that. Thanks SabreCarnivius_Prime wrote:I did offer a thought that it could be the way his shins were often shaded in the cartoon. The front of them appearing much lighter than the other sides. I dunno.
Same, but I guess I can get behind this. I still don't like the white error crotch....itscramtastic wrote:I mean, I would've preferred a Black Hot Rod redeco,
