The base xp for winning is the lowest level x 100 + 100
Then I think the energon is half of that.

If that's the case, then the current bonus on the L4-11 Bot/Pred mission is messed up. It should be 500xp [(4 x 100)+100] and 250E, but is currently only 100xp/50E, according to the listing when viewing the Missions page.

Scantron wrote:What about setting up missions that allow (for instance) Autobots and Maximals to face off against Predacons and Decepticons? Sure, it would be effectively like merging the Beast factions back into their original factions, but would allow them to keep their separate faction names. We could also retain the single-faction vs single-faction missions alongside the dual-faction vs dual-faction ones.

I've said this before, as well. It could help solve a number of different problems concerning faction numbers, while not necessitating the elimination of the beast factions.

The programming is already in place to allow Autobots and Decepticons to team against Quints, so this can't be much different.

And I think it also gives potential to have a bit of fun with things, as well - do the team-ups ALWAYS have to be Autobot/Maximal vs. Decepticon/Predacon? Because throwing in one or two beast factions vs. G1 factions or Maximal/Decepticon v. Autobot/Predacon missions could be fun, too, to mix things up a bit.

for the good of the game, and if it cuts down on ram usage or major data, i say cut arena, delete inactive accounts, add the smaller factions back to the larger if it helps,or combine them so we have good and evil, then let them have there own subfaction, and anything else that keeps the game going.
i for one would rather play basic HMW than non at all.

one thing to keep in mind about the energon is that while you need to deal equal damage to a bot the same level to get CR costs covered, you can get away with killing a bot of a lesser level and dammagin another of a lesser a level

for a level 10 to cover cr cost he needs €1100, 100% damage to a level 10 targets

or he could do 110%damage to level 9 targets which would also net him his cr cost

or 123% to a level 8

or 138% to a level 7

or or 158% to a level 6

for a level 10 which is easier nearly killing two level 6s, or killing one level 10?

once again i return that the reason the missions aren't as lucrative is because the sides are so unbalanced in numbers.

Anyone reading the Con forums will know there's other ways to make energon. But yes, the payments could maybe be based on the earner's level, not on the level of the damaged character.

The problem is not with the cons or autobots, the problem is with the beasts, basically, the output is problemic (those missions give only 150 energon for winning+the constant outnumbering) I can easily imagine that the energon flows out faster from the Beast Factions than playing BBG

yeah i am sure the something special from the RDD hunt for scalping your troops is some good energon for some, i will try and make it harder, i promise, but most mission backup is lacking to say the least.
it is not the first time i have been hunted, and surly not the last.just wish i had a list of the hunters so i could keep track of there scalps as well. just for fun.

*shrugs* I admit I haven't the foggiest clue how complicated or not complicated it would be to do that. I work in the newspaper biz, not the computer biz.

All I know is that Mkall was at one point talking about giving us more missions, and since there's already programming for pairing up factions, I figured it might be something Mkall could accomplish. If not, well then it's a nice idea but if it can't be done it can't be done.

There's enough desire on behalf of the players that if some of them were given access to mission code, it wouldn't be too hard for them to come up with code the missions we need implemented.

For all we know that code could have been removed.

Frankly I saw robot modes and minicons being removed not because they were flawed, but because someone had every intention of leaving and didn't want to leave his code behind.

The Arena has to stay no matter what because it plays a major part in the way the point system is set up. The arena is a place for partialy fair fighting that you can at least walk away with some points when building up as a noob character. Higher ranks such as level 3 and above pretty much dies down on attaction for the massive amount of points you can make in missions. Sadly at this time the number of opponents have dropped dramaticaly even to question the maximal and predacon factions existence. At the current time being the game should go back to it's original stance of HMW V1 until the game coding is finally resolved!

the point system? what point system? and there's no more guarantee of you walking away from the arena with xp as a level 0 than in mission, the original V1 stance? you mean no arena then, yes? as the arena wasn't part of the original design at all...

I mst request that the challenge pit come in as a replacement. I must have duals damn you!

Looking at it, the arena seems a very bad idea to begin with. Who you fight is completely random- so rarely are you pitted against someone your own xp level (often resulting in a one-sided fight).

Arena for lvl 0 only! Challenge pit for everyone! Showdowns abound!

EDIT:- Back JP here.

There are enough beasties in each faction to fully support a few missions. Cowardice is what is keeping beasty numbers in missions low.

Nuke the hole they hide in, and they'll have no choice but to fight together.

I completely agree with Dealer. If the arena does go away bring the challenge pit in.

I believe the pit can make the game more enjoyable for example new types of tournaments

People are aware that Mkall has pretty much reached the peak of his programming abilities (at this point in time anyway) and unless someone else can come along and knows how to tackle the coding while balacing a life that there probably won't be any new additions to the game for the forseeable future ....

So saying "if the arena goes replace it with The Pit" really isn't an option. The arena goes, or the arena stays. Those are the options, plain and simple at this point in time.

After not having my computer for nearly a week I see this topic and my jaw literally dropped in seeing 7 pages of discussion on this already. So I'm going to assume that no one mentioned the fact that 0 level transformers get free time in the CR after an arena battle. If it goes there would be more traffic in the missions and the majority of transformer battles have been in missions. If is stays traditionally the Decepticons used it as a training ground/weeding out the week. Seriously if the Decepticons don't find enough opposition in the missions, then make the arena inter-faction one-on-ones.

I thought it was like that from the get-go? Either way, missions are far more profitable for level 0s, there's more energon to be won and they still don't lose any.
