According to some sources, the Protectobot wave is supposed to 'be available sometime in April'. That's THIS month, and the month is already half over. Can we get any confirmation of this? I'd LOVE it if it was true - but after the delays with the Stunticon and Air Raid wave, I somehow rather think it's going to be late May or even June before they are actually 'available'....

I guess it depends on what they mean by 'available'. To me - an 'available' product is one that you can buy and have in your possession immediately - take it home, hold it, really HAVE it. But does 'available' to these guys only mean 'available for pre-order' on places like Hasbro Toy Shop.com? Because if that's the case, what 'available' REALLY means is only that they'll allow you to pay for them online, but you won't actually GET them for another month or two.

So can we confirm if 'available' this April means the former explanation (I hope), or the latter?

I felt alpha bravo was a helicopter version of slingshot with IDW First Aid's head. Nothing wrong about that though.

They probably mean 'available' as in that they are 'available' in the distribution chain and will come to your local stores as they sell out of existing stock (AoE shelf/pegwarmers) and get more in.

I hope not. Because that AoE crap doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I've been seeing the SAME figures on the shelf (at wal-mart especially, but also TRU) for over three months. The SAME figures - not just restocking of ones that are being sold. Nobody's buying them anymore. And if retailers are waiting for people to buy them in order to clear shelf space for the CW figures, then we're in for an even longer wait than I feared...

Arm forms or hand mode for the hand/foot piece? I think arm form for legs would be make them a bit too long. Could be wrong. I don't have the figures to be sure.

Your right, hand pieces on leg modes work better. What a smart idea too!

Well I originally took the pics for the 3rd party pics thread. But Alpha Bravo is part of combiner wars so why shouldn’t the pics be here too? Nobody complained about Va’al’s pics all over the place. And then there’s the exclusive Alpha Bravo thread. So it’s not like the pics are off topic.

On a separate note, If I want to find out why Australians enjoy dressing up like dismembered corpses, Ill have to go there and see for myself. These Aussies ain’t talkin… :-?

Ok, maybe I am going off on a tangent here, due to people's dislike for new Gestalt members, but in my opinion, Alpha Bravo is not in fact the odd man out in the Aerialbots. That would have to have ALWAYS been their leader, considering that he's a commercial aircraft, unlike all of the others. On a related note, Offroad, while a newcomer, again is not an odd-man-out. Drag Strip is. The altmodes of all the other Stunticons are at least potentially road-legal!

This much said, I just got Alpha Bravo this morning, and he's cool, but, despite the nose of his copter mode being somewhat shuttle-like I doubt that is the way they will go if they make the combaticons. I think it is more likely they will retool Air-raid to promote the G1 Micromaster Nightflight, to replace Blast Off! Financially speaking, it makes more sense, as there's a lot less retooling required!

Maybe buy them from one location then return them to another location?

Two things-

1) I watch Top Gear thanks to BBC America and the presenters correctly say "street-legal" so I have to ask why the English can't speak English? :saint:

2) I would not mind your suggestion of using a retool of Air Raid (my favorite Aerialbot) to have Nightfilght (my favorite Micromaster) replace Blast Off one bit. But others would something-something. :WHISTLE:

I am pretty certain that Blastoff will be the limb replaced by a new member. If they thought having a motorcycle was odd with scale, imagine a space shuttle!!!! (also, he was the kreon they didnt include for the combaticon kreon set, and thats been true about sling shot, wildrider and groove, maybe thats too much of a coincidence)
