No argument there, but as someone said a while back, if they'd stuck to the "traditional" Sky Lynx he'd still be a combiner.

They knew people wanted an updated Sky Lynx, so why not turn him into a torso and then throw out some tacky repaints of existing characters so the completists have something to froth at the mouth over? Smart move by Hasbro. I'll be happy to grab Sky Lynx, and maybe a couple of the limbs, but I won't be combining them.

No argument here I think I've said on a couple occasions that I wish we HAD gotten some obscure characters for these two teams (Rated X, this one's for you; I want that Ruckus). I think that there could have been some middle ground where random people and collectors would buy figures and not care if they didn't know who they were (I tenuously offer up the subscription combiner as evidence of something that will satisfy this condition).

I don't care about the '84 team, I didn't want them the first time (save mirage) and I don't want them now (save mirage). Personally I am all over that sexy combined mode, I don't care for Sky Lynx, the beast mode is epic, but so is the combined mode

I like what FunPub is doing with their subscription service, except for Bludgeon, but again, IF I get them (and it is a bit of a cost when you factor in $ conversion), they won't be getting combined.

Here's a thought out of left field. Remember that box art for G2 Superion? What if on top of all the "new" combiners we're getting in 2016, we get store exclusive box sets of the year one figures in G2 colors?

Agreed. Skylynx is on my wish list regardless of him being a torso bot.

Not keen on most of the new Auotbot limbs. As has been said, those slots could have been given to characters still waiting for thr classics treatment, - did we really need a new Trailbreaker so soon after the release of hi sgenerations toy?
May (and I stress MAY) pick up Hound and repurpose him as a G1 Bulkhead.

Count me in the camp that is very excited for a Sky Linx toy. I've never had or seen one before, and I'd buy one even if it didn't combine. Although I do confess, I will be combining mine. I like having more playability options.

The only thing I thought was a little off was the cougar head in combined torso mode. Just doesn't seem to fit. Then I had a thought, put him on all fours for a combined beast mode! You could even transform the foot/fists on his hands to be feet so all four appendages look like feet. The only thing that scares me is the head articulation may not allow this. If he can't look upward enough, it won't be believable. I guess I'll find out when I get him in hand.

It's not a "rumored" mode. It's something Hasbro suggested fans try to do with the toy for fun. A fanmode, if you will. The toy's official modes are Shuttle, Dino-Bird, and Torso.

Finally saw some wave 2 deluxes in a local Target yesterday...

But for some reason they were the Canadian version, and had cards instead of comics. How did a Target in America get Canadian figures? Is Hasbro's American distribution so f'd up that stores have to go international to get product? I doubt some manager at Target drove down to Windsor to get them or anything, which I could see happening at a hobbyist or comic shop.

So since I was watching the Fall of Cybertron videos, I thought of another reason why I cannot wait for Bruticus: I never got the FOC one (Just Ruination cause I really wanted a wreckers combiner and a combiner in general that actually had robot, vehicle and combined modes) so this one can actually take place in the commercials, like when Bruticus fights Jazz and the dinobots. That I look forward to, especially since this one has better size and looks better.

Well if you look in back of your card you will notice that the main address Hasbro gives you for their headquarters is in Longueuil, Quebec Canada (for some reason). I dont know why that address is the biggest in the back and what it represents since Hasbro is an american company. It could be that the central distribution stems from there (which would also be odd) but the fact that one of it's head offices would be in Canada might have a link with distributions getting mixed. Canada also gets AMerican versions in the west once in a while.

Oh and guys, not sure if anyone missed it but we are getting another CW Voyager with the Bruticus wave BEFORE Skylynx, you can see it in the bottom right corner:

Unknown, assuming that she is a normal wave, it would be at least wave three. I, however, think it would be nice if they split her up over the course of the year; since all her figures use the same color pallet, and the heli-twins are also in the wave, it would make it very redundant to splurge that much same-ness onto aisles at the same time.
