Your missing out on some great innovative designs and Transformations.

Though it will be fun to see what takara plan to do with Alpha Trion

As in like, look above for the example of how much better Takara made Scourge's head by repainting the visible arms into looking like an actual visual detail of their head rather than robot mode headmaster kibble. Astrotrain has a pretty severe case of robot mode headmaster kibble going on with his head and I'd like to see if Takara can fix it up.

Transformations perhaps. Designs, no. I haven't seen many at all in the RiD I even like the look of in either modes. Generally far too simplistic, overly stylized cartoony stuff that doesn't really work for me and some very dorky looking robots

Not my thing at all). If you like them then great but that line hasn't done anything to earn my money so far.
Titans Return on the other hand has got me pre-ordering Takara's versions of Blurr and Scourge many months in advance of their release already. As I said before, I generally prefer complex movie stuff but yeah Titans have got some fantastic renditions of childhood G1 faves.

How do you like TR and not MP?

I'm guessing that is a different strokes for different folks kinda thing. Not everyone is going to like a line and there's many different things people look for in a line.

I'll be cheeky and say "Lio Convoy".
DigitalBrave3 wrote:SpikeyTigertron wrote:That Bot wrote:SpikeyTigertron wrote:Any word and how much paint Hasbro is gonna put on these compared to Takara?
The same amount or maybe a little more but applied differently, as usual. There's more discussion of the Takara versions in the Legends thread, since that's the banner Takara's releasing them under.
Takara's head-unit had a good chunk of paint on him, unless Botcon was just proto-types the heads looked pretty bland in robot mode (albeit they're so tiny it may not matter).
Is it confirmed they're smaller than the old power masters?
I saw the Titan Masters in person at BotCon. I can confirm that they are definitely smaller than the old Powermasters.

Your missing out on some great innovative designs and Transformations. Check out Fracture when you have a chance, or Drift. Without joking, the better transformations are happening in the RID line than the CW line, although I know you dont care much for CW either so that might not be high praise.Kurona wrote:Noideaforaname wrote:I wouldn't call big ol' block heads with limbs hanging out of the back "easy to ignore".
Really?
You beat me to it Kurona! When I saw the initial post, I just though "well Takara is making this really easy to ignore for those that want to".StarFireMk4 wrote:

Also, yay, first post away from TFW!(a bit off topic so I apologize)
Welcome to the conversation! I hope you have a good time here on Seibertron!ZeroWolf wrote:I see we're back to this argument again. Changing characters into headmasters is only a big deal if you let it be one. For me, it's no bother folding these into my head canon. If you didn't like the look of them on basis of decos etc; then that's fair enough but to argue something as silly as this, it seems pointless.Wolfman Jake wrote:I too was not keen on the traditionally "non-Headmaster" characters from G1 getting this new "Titammaster" gimmick for this line. I was going to pass on all such updateds, especially since we already have Classics versions of them, but DAMNIT, they look so GOOD (especially the Takara versions in most cases). That alone has softened me on the "Headmaster problem," but it made me realize that the whole issues really is just in the head, so to speak.
Awesome stuff follows, just go read the whole post
Great points from the wolf pack. And yeah, I dont get the fuss either. Since when do people expect perfect G1 renditions of these characters in the Generations Classics line? We never even got an actual Voyager Optimus Prime that looks exactly like his G1 self, so why would Blurr get something like that? He's already closer than ever compared to the previous one we got who's alt mode looked nothing like him (did anyone make a fuss then?). We already have a whole line dedicated to giving perfect interpretations of G1 toys, no need for 2. Especially when the generations line is sold to kids who just want to have fun. The classics was always about new takes on characters and concepts, no reason to change that now.SpikeyTigertron wrote:
For starters... is there ANY conformation of whether Fort Max's legs split like Metroplex's (repair bays?)
Yes, there is, check out this pic:

So there it is! That was rather subtle... Wonder why they didn't open it up all the way. Maybe it's less interesting inside?

You're an adult (I presume). You should be able to take better care of your toys now, lol! If you're playing with your Titanmasters, just make sure you put them back in the same place, or at least put them inside the little cockpits built into the Deluxe, Voyager, and (I think) some of the Legends sized figures in the line like Wheelie.
SillySpringer wrote:I think it's really lazy personally. Either they should've retooled the legs to transform differently, or at least kept with the original transformation. Like this, he just looks like he passed out after being drunk and losing his head with his legs spread out in a highly awkward position for kids to be putting small toys all over.

Makes it easier to find my posts =P, also Tigertron did have babyblue... or was it more of a teal color (he's in storage atm).
could be worse~
It was like a deep teal green in his season 1 body, but his BotCon 2001 Transmetal body did have the baby blue of your text.SpikeyTigertron wrote:Makes it easier to find my posts =P, also Tigertron did have babyblue... or was it more of a teal color (he's in storage atm).SillySpringer wrote:What's with some people and writing entirely in pink and blue. Also, G1 predaking scales perfectly with G1 Skylynx as well.
