TF08 is at it again with more pictures of the rumored unreleased Soundwave figure that we have seen in recent weeks.
This time the pictures are pretty clear and shows off the size of the figure as well as a few other traits, like Soundwaves head, or having normal fists and not crazy claws, hooks or blenders.
Until TF08 watermarks their images, we will not be posting the pictures here in the news.

A new listing has surfaced on Amazon.com for what appears to be the novelisation of the upcoming
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The item is simply listed as "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" (even though the "2" has officially been dropped from the title) and is categorised as a mass market paperback and is written by Alan Dean Foster, who also wrote the
novelisation of the first film.
No image is shown, but the book has a scheduled release date of May 26th 2009.

Last year, there were rumors that Takara was planning on producing a Henkei Black Optimus Prime. Pictures were shown that looked similar to Classics Nemesis Prime, but featured red windows and a slightly different paint scheme. At the time, people speculated that this mysterious black Prime would surface as an event exclusive. But a year has passed and nothing has appeared. We haven’t seen or heard anything. Was this just an apparition? A prototype produced by Hasbro? Or, a Takara project that never panned out?
eBay seller, Ultraconvoy, recently listed information that may shed some light on this elusive figure. According to the seller, this figure was due to be released as an exclusive, but this may never happen. In Ultraconvoy’s words, he had this to say:
This is an unreleased Classic Black Optimus Prime. I was told it was going to be released for a few conventions in Japan but none were true. I was also told it was coming out for winter fest January 2009 but winter fest is canceled due to building problems. We may never know if this figure will be released. Figure is a testshot/prototype.
It is difficult to confirm the truth at this point. This figure has a few differences compared with the Nemesis Prime version. It has Autobot insignias, red windows, and a slightly different paint scheme. Also the words “Not for sale?Eare stamped on the top.
You can discuss whether or not this is a Hasbro or Takara prototype and whether or not it will ever be produced

Seibertron.com member LimeWire-NTF-Archive has informed us that
NTF-Archive.de, the biggest German Transformers Movie news website, has posted the official German title for
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen:
Transformers - Die Rückkehr or Transformers The Return.
According to the German website, this news implies that the character
"The Fallen" will not appear in the sequel and that it most likely means a character will return from the original film. This information comes courtesy of
Filmstarts.de, which is stated to be the most reliable movie news source in Europe.
Film writers for ROTF have already stated that
"The Fallen" may not be in the film, but no confirmed reports have been released to date. This new information could add fuel to the rumor that it is actually
Megatron who will make his return for the second film.
Seibertron.com will continue to bring you the latest information available on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Yizhi521 of TF08.net has posted yet another, and this time slightly clearer, photo of what appears to be the "Revenge of the Fallen" Soundwave figure. In this new image, you can clearly see three orbs on his chest as well as the "grill" form and "lights" on his stomach that ressemble those seen on the supposed Soundwave concept design leaked earlier. Though writer Roberto Orci specifically stated that
Soundwave is not a pickup truck, there does seem to be some connection between this figure's design and the leaked Soundwave "truck" design.
See the image
here or mirrored below, along with the supposed concept art for Soundwave's truck mode.

A new image of what appears to be a re-worked logo for
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has surfaced. Sources say the image was from a
presentation of Hasbro's 2009 feature films by Hasbro CEO Brain Goldner to securities analysts. The slide also features a screenshot from the 2007 Transformers Movie videogame, as well as a look at Hasbro's other big 2009 film: GI JOE: Rise of Cobra.
The logo features the classic Transformers font (in keeping with the font from the first film) as well as the Decepticon logo in the background - both of which are glowing red.
You can see the image below the mirrored report:
During a presentation to securities analysts today, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner showed a promo image including the feature films of "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The "Transformers" part of the image shows what may be the new logo for the "Transformers Revenge of the Fallen" film that will be out June 2009.
The new logo released by Hasbro shows a more traditional look that is similar in design of the Generation 1 logo, which was broken into 2 parts with the word "TRANS" stacked on top of "FORMERS." The Autobot symbol from the Generation 1 logo has been replaced by a large, metallic Decepticon logo with glowing red-eyes.
The images support some elements revealed for the sequel already. If the movie goes in the direction we're lead to believe, where the Decepticons return to Earth, then this image could be indicative of the mood of the 2nd installment.
As with most things, take this with a grain of salt. This could be something only Hasbro is using or just a preliminary design we may never see again. You may view the new logo below and judge for yourself.

TF08.nets yizhy521 has updated his thread with new clearer images of the possible Movie Soundwave figure.
He seems to have taken size comparison images with what seems to be a box of cigarettes or a trading card deck holder. He also confirms in one post that it is in fact a satellite.

Seibertron.com reported way back
here that Transformers Movie Director Michael Bay said that there will not be an extended addition DVD release of the Transformers Movie. According to a rumor floating around, Paramount Pictures thinks otherwise.
As reported at
DigitalBits.com, the film could see an extended addition release in 2009, most likely coinciding with the opening of Revenge of the Fallen. The extra footage will be that of the IMAX release, which was estimated at about 2 more minutes plus of footage.
No other details have been mentioned. Seibertron.com will keep you informed as more information becomes available.

Thanks to Griffin of the
OTCA Boards, for his write up of two Australian meetups with Transformers Animated Designer Eric Seibenaler, comes plenty of information regarding the Transformers Animated toys, past present and future.
The two meetings (held in Melbourne and Sydney) took place after Eric participated in an Australian Animated competition. He took time out from his busy schedule to talk Transformers with Australian Fans.
Some of the tidbits of information Eric divulged to the Aussie fans included:
- Eric designed all the Transformers Animated figures, not just Oilslick. His first figure was Armada Laserbeak, who Eric was re-united with thanks to Griffin.
- Eric is working on two size classes of figures for the upcoming Movie line.
- A New Animated Bumblebee figure is on it's way, it will be smaller and include an extra weapon of sorts
- A New Bulkhead repaint is also on it's way, and like Atomic Lugnut (which Eric named) it will be a repaint that retains the Bulkhead name.
- Oil Slick was meant to contain slime or Water in his helmet and second weapon, but due to safety concerns, it was nixed.
- New Deluxe Animated Arcee will not be entirely Pink
- The UK version of
Animated Sideswipe was created without the knowledge or approval of Hasbro, and when found out, they were made to change the name.
For further details about the meetups, and more tidbits of information and photos of Eric doing his thing, please check out Griffin's thread at
OTCA.

Thanks to yizhi521 of TF08.net we have our first photos of what
appears to be the "Revenge of the Fallen" Soundwave figure.
The photos are blurry, and it is difficult to determine if it is indeed Soundwave (reported to be a satellite) - or if it is even a ROTF figure, but the design aesthetic fits.
See the photos
