After watching the two specials, we see that Hot Rod is still quite prominent, as he ascends to one of the main Cybertronian leaders. So an Ultimate figure being available for parents to buy for their kids makes sense. And the Transformers Cyberverse Dinobots Unite Ultimate Hot Rod has been found at retail in time for the holliday season (take that supply chain!). He was found at Target along with Volcanicus, his wavemate. Fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg has a review of this toy for us, so anyone curious about this big kids toy can check it out below.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:There's a lot going on with Hot Rod that's fun, unfortunately, there's quite a bit that's going wrong. Might be my copy, might not. When the entire point of a toy is the gimmick transformation you kinda need to make sure that works, all the time. If you're a fan there might be something here for you but I definitely can't recommend this for younger fans.
Fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999 has a video review of WheelGrim, the latest roll and combine set pairing a Dinobot with a non Dinobot character. This one is Wheeljack and Grimlock. This toy came out in the US recently and is appearing at Walmarts throughout the country, first starting in Arizona.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:WheelGrim is another fun Dino Combiner to be released in the Dinobots Unite subline. Wheeljack makes a great pair of pants while Grimlock becomes the torso and they blend well. While it will never win awards for transformation and articulation, it is a fun figure that will make some people happy.
Transformers Kingdom Road Rage was a redcard exclusive preorder but it is now showing up in stores. It started showing up last week and we got a few sightings of Road Rage from various states like Idaho and Maryland to name a few. You can purchase this in stores without having a Red Card.
If you want to check out a review before being sure to purchase, especially since that Tracks mold has been getting a real kicking, here is a review from fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg1999.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I don't want to jinx anything, but Road Rage feels like some of the issues that I experienced with Tracks are fixed. Unfortunately, the mold still feels off with the plastic still feeling incredibly brittle. I can't recommend this figure 100% but if you want to roll the dice the choice is yours.
We got two big sightings to share that are making Canadians fan scramble out to hunt. First is Origins Bumblebee from the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. This toy retails for $34 CAD and is selling out very quickly. It has been found across Canada these past few days.
A big surprise has been finding the Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Ratchet set at Winners, which is what TJMaxx is called in Canada. This set is only $30. It has been found in a few provinces so far, like Quebec and Ontario.
A lot of Canadians were looking forward to reading that headline. We have news that Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins Bumblebee has been found at Canadian retail. Dangard Ace found it at a Toysrus in Ontatio. It was 33.99, which is the new standard deluxe price in Canada.
The SKU ia 515253.
Toysrus stores in canada are now stocking the Transformers Dracula crossover Draculus figure. The MSRP is $72.99 CAD, which is in line with all other crossover figures being much more expensive than they are in the US after conversion. The sighting comes from Anemis who posted that on Cybertron.ca. While we are speaking of Draculus, here are some pictures from TF fan Banshee who had found the figure the day it was revealed. In the images we can see how well the cape can work in both modes.
As with the G1 rerelases, it has taken a while for Walmart stores in the US to put these on shelves. And we know they've had them for a while since Hasbro had shipped these off to North America for a few months now. They appeared in Canada, then they were shipping from Walmart.com and now they are finally on actual shelves. The image below comes from a Walmart in California (Mountain View Walmart. specifically) where we can see all 4 releases: Rarrtap, Cheetor, Optimus Primal and Megatron.
This sighting is from TF Fan clonemanager who posted this on the TFW2005 message boards.
Wow, Hasbro wasn't kidding when they said their priority was getting product on the shelves no matter what. Including, as we've been seeing, no matter what supposed release date they may have been planning, making it look like a massive free for all. We just got the 13th wave of Studio Series deluxe toys with Gnaw and Jolt and now we have wave 14 showing up at Meijer. This is a remold of the DOTM Sideswipe we got and comes with a different background. This free for all in terms of wave schedules is probably to counter any pushback from the slowed down global supply chains in hope that enough product is on the shelves for the holiday season.
TF Fan Justin got a fun surprise at Walmart the other day. While they had preordered the upcoming Transformers Studio Series 86 Scourge with a release date of November 2021, they found that very figure at their local Walmart in Alma for $26. Wreck gar is the other voyager in this wave. The sweep being out lets us finally compare them with Scourge in the same light showing that they are indeed different shades of blue.
Thanks to a post on Twitter by user @Fc20364, we have photo proof that Studio Series Wave 13 has been found at retail in the U.S.! Jolt and his wavemates were found at a Walmart in Texas, though the exact location wasn't specified.
Though not shown in this picture, Gnaw is a new mold, and part of this Wave. Wave 13 also consists of ROTF Bumblebee, first released in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line; as well as a repack of Jazz.
Are you going to be on a lookout for the electrifying Autobot- especially now that he finally has a screen accurate head? Passing on this figure? Let us know in the Energon Pub forums!
