Hello everyone, I just now decied to join after quite a bit of lurking as I've just gotten a wonderful piece of news! Peter Cullen is going to be one of the special guests at the upcoming convention, Anime Matsuri, in Houston TX April 27-29!
I was recently invited to be a special guest as well and I've been so stoked about getting to meet him that I have to tell as many people as I can about it and I figured, who better than my fellow TF fans?. I have to say my mind is completely molten from the prospect of shareing a guest list with one of my all time greatest childhood heros and I hope to see many of you there.
Cheers,
Danny - VDantes

For the Emilio Estevez dramatic film Bobby, actors Shia LaBeouf and Brian Geraghty were
interviewed by
About.com. At the
end of the interview (4 pages), LaBeouf talks about working on Transformers and being directed by Michael Bay. Also confirming that he has been contracted for Transformers 2 and 3.
"To go from Emilio Estevez to Michael Bay is like walking out of, you know, like in a hammock in the sky, hanging out drinking Pina Coladas with Jesus and then getting smacked in the face and thrown in the devil’s s**pile and having to make a movie. I swear to God"

The Energon Plant has interviewed David Cian, one of the writers of the Transformers novels a few year back. In the
interview, Cian talks about how he got into writing as well as talking about his upcoming novel, which is the prequel to the
Transformers Movie currently in post-production, called 'Ghosts Of Yesterday'.
"I knew that the movie was coming out and that it was likely there was going to be at least one book. I kept talking about it with the people involved and when the opportunity was available, my agent got in touch with the publisher who had been planning on contacting me anyway. It worked out nicely for everyone, I think".

Zap2it has put up an
article featuring Peter Cullen, the voice of the original Optimus Prime. The article is hot on the heels of the DVD release of Transformers: The Movie - 20th Anniversary special. Cullen also comments on being the voice in the upcoming movie and Frank Welker.
"Frank is probably one of the greatest talents I've ever worked with, one of the funniest human beings in the world. One of the toughest parts working with Frank is to try to remain serious because he could make you laugh with a facial expression, then multiply that by 10 when he opens his voice. So it was always fun. And of course, I hope he gets to play in the movie as well because I'd love to revive that alone by itself. That to me would be a treasure."

"Paul,
I Thought you might like to know that I have just published two books.

Frank Welker, best known to most of us as the voice of G1 Megatron, is profiled in an interview by the
Belleville News Democrat. The
article is mostly about how the master voice actor rolled into voice acting. No real mention of Transformers, but still a good read for any fan of his work.
