As you all saw from this pas week's news, it has now been uncovered where people get toys early for reviews (it was known for a little while but now it has been brought to the surface for all to see). So, it is no surprise that we are getting more early reviews for products that were available to order on Shopee, like Skullgrin. This particular review is from Chefatron and in it we get to see all the features that Skullgrin has to offer and what he does not offer. For instance, fans were hoping there would be a robot head hiding under the monster head. Well, there is not. Also, the guns are soft plastic which is the main complaint fans are expressing right now, you'll let us know if this matters to you. Also, in terms of the range of height within a deluxe class, Skullgrin is not on the higher end, as we can see in the image below. He's about as tall as the Sharkticon.
We have not one but two video reviews to share with you today. Both are for wave 3 Legacy deluxe toys and both are from JoeyBoy. If anyone wonders how people can get toys so early, well we already posted a link in the SG Perceptor story where even that never before seen toy was available. Some fans wanting early reviews just buy from those Asian sites like Shopee and pay extra on top of that for a forwarding service, mystery solved for anyone wondering.
About Crankcase though, fans who preordered on Amazon.com are saying that it shows the toy as being shipped soon. Which would be nuts as the wave 2 deluxes haven't even shipped yet form them. So we'll see, could just be an error in the system.
While the rescue Bots Line is technically over, the style of figure and it's spcae at retail is very much alive, with new entries too. One that's been found in the US in the past month, we have a sighting below from fellow Seibetronian Rysquad, is the new Megatron mold, the first ever Decepticon found in that line. If you have seen it and are curious as to what it's all about, we have a video review for you below.
Enjoy!

Sure, this is a simplified figure, but it's cool to see Megs reimagined as a drill tank, a standard of Japanese mecha stories. If you collect Rescue Bots then adding Megatron to your collection is a must.

There's always an added insecurity when it comes to retailer exclusives. Good news for Canadians though, as of today all figures in the line have been found at Walmart stores. The voyagers were the first to comes out, followed by leader class Scourge, and the deluxes have just been found. Canada is receiving the line in case assortments, which is different than what has been seen in the US and UK. In the UK, it's all solid cases for all classes while in the US, the deluxes are in an assortment but the voyagers are sent in solid cases. The prices are 72.97 for leader, 47.97 for voyagers and 35.97 for deluxes. Those Canadian prices are similar to the US counterparts with the deluxes being the equivalent of $28 USD. Definitely a better price than the $45 Toysrus currently charges for their exclusive deluxe class Transformers.
Sightings are from various provinces (with multiple sightings in Quebec and Ontario), though the image below is from a Montreal Walmart. We also have reviews below pulled from members of our Seibertron community and others.
Right now, POTP Optimal Optimus goes for around $100 on the aftermarket. We'll see just how much that price rises with this new image showing that Transmetal II Dragon Megatron scales perfectly with him. We have the show scale chart below that you can compare to. We have other images of Dragon Megatron from Sam Smith's Instagram page and you can find those below. In other Transformers Legacy news, there's now a review for Legacy Pointblank and Peacemaker. You can see it below.
We thank EvasionModeBumblebee for sending more news regarding The Fallen our way. It seems quite a few fans got their hands on him already since we have content from China, Korea and now the UK. Below are photos from a blog post on a Korean website along with images from PrimevsPrime review. Those show The Fallen next to ROTF Megatron, the Jetfire/Prime combo and more. We also have in hand images of the alt mode, for those who find it important. Let us know what you think!
PrimevsPrime has reviewed the Amazon exclusive Transformers Studio Series Transformers Movie 2007 15th Anniversary Multipack. The most important part of this review is comparisons to the previous releases to see if there are any changes to the deco. And it turns out each of them does have differences, some minor, some major; the bots on the left in the pics are from this new 5 pack and the bots on the right are the previous releases. Ratchet for instance has a big change in how fat the EKG line is on the alt mode and Jazz is a different shade of silver. The changes in deco make some characters more accurate and some less. For instance, both Bumblebee and Ironhide have paint apps removed compared to the previous releases but for Bumblebee, the lack of deco on his chest is inaccurate while the lack of paint on the circles emerging from Ironhide's armpits makes him more accurate (see videos below). In the end, this set is mainly for people who do not have the figures in it and completionists.
Transformers Studio Series 86 Discussion Core Ratchet was found at US retail earlier this week. Since not all fans collect that scale, there may be some hesitation in adding him to your collection. Well, we now have a video review from PrimevsPrime. This was sent to us by several members of the Seibertron community.
Ratchet is in the same wave as Wheelie and both are popping up at Targets in the US.
Transformers Studio Series Wheelie is out at retail now! And, Prime vs Prime has a review for you so you can see if you like this figure or not. It suffered heavy criticism from fans for the exposed hands and for looking inferior to the previous Titans Return version. Let us know what you think of this version and if you'll be hunting it down.
We knew multiple different people got heir hands on Transformers Studio Series voyager Ironhide, so it was only a matter of time before a video review came along. And we have one now from Prime vs Prime giving us a good idea how different this release is to the previous attempt at a G1 Ironhide with Earthrise (ER) Ironhide. While he is more of deluxe sized, he is still taller than voyager Hot Rod, a toy Hasbro explicitly stated was voyager class due to parts count. And comparing this Ironhide to the ER Ironhide, we can see the significant boost in parts and engineering, especially when looking at how more complete the alt mode looks like and how it folds up into the robot (as did Hot Rod's).
So enjoy the screenshots from the review below and let us know what you think.
