• Overhauled eBay order import system to support batch processing and file-specific tracking
• Built internal order pull list view with filters and pagination for faster warehouse processing
• Linked imported orders to item-level metadata (e.g., folder, image, SKU) for accuracy and fulfillment speed
• Improved shipping workflow by relocating “Fragile / Do Not Bend” stickers for faster, more consistent usage
• Streamlined packing and labeling processes, boosting fulfillment rate from ~20 to 25 packages per hour
• Made small but impactful layout and process changes that increased overall warehouse efficiency

## CODE & PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT

• Started PSR-12-compliant PHP cleanup following modern coding standards
• Standardized use of constants in shared core files
• Planned Bootstrap redesign using `SITE_VERSION` toggle logic
• Refactored admin dashboard layout and breadcrumbs. Work continues on this.
• Restructured entire error handling process including everyone's favorite Kremzeek error pages (notice how little we see him now)
• Improved integration between phpBB and Seibertron's global shell by stabilizing session handling across shared headers and footers
• Fixed phpBB redirect loop by updating legacy redirect code
• Investigated and resolved phpBB user session issues that were preventing proper login/logout behavior in the admin control panel
• Created new BBCode tag for expandable spoiler-style content
• Created G1-style "step" buttons complete with arrowheads (way more complicated than it should have been)
• Converted G1-style "step" buttons into Bootstrap tab functionality
• Updated Google AdSense code. I know many of you are unhappy with how the auto-ads are currently working. I'm not happy either. I think this will improve once the new modern site rolls out. I don't think the auto-ads play nice with Seibertron.com's outdated layout.

## CONTENT, DESIGN & PRESENTATION

• Updated Seibertron tagline options and legal display guidelines. New tagline: "Your planet for everything Transformers"
• Standardized use of Gunship logo font in lowercase for visual clarity
• Refined Seibertron Store newsletter with updated promo messaging
• Restructured category descriptions for all news categories
• Standardized condition formats and SKU structure for Seibertron Store comic listings
• Introduced Windows EXE tool to auto-folderize comic covers into hyphenated titles, but was not satisfied with the result
• Began work on "Project SC 2.0", which was stalled after a couple of weeks due to other pressing matters
• Updated pages for Translate, About Us, Contact Us and Privacy Policy
• Refined global CSS for cleaner layout spacing, button alignment, and responsive tweaks
• Updated browser tab icons (favicon and touch icons) for all major platforms
• Revised footer verbiage for accuracy, copyright clarity, and brand consistency
• Removed deprecated visual elements and legacy styling no longer in use
• Standardized heading and font sizing across pages to prepare for Bootstrap transition
• Updated admin and public-facing meta titles and descriptions to reflect current branding
• Worked on modernizing header to begin transition to Bootstrap layout
• Updated and modernized RSS feeds for Seibertron.com’s news and podcast distribution
• Resolved persistent 503 error that was blocking our news feed from syncing with Facebook
• Fixed podcast configuration issues that were preventing Seibertron’s podcast from appearing on Spotify

I've done more than this. As things come to mind, I will continue to update this list. More upgrades are coming soon. Really going to play with the "your planet" aspect of everything with the redesign to provide more interactivity and control for the SEIBERTRON community.

Seibertron.com Progress Report – Security Cleanup & Legacy Hardening (May 20, 2025)

• Identified root cause of external site classification issues
We investigated reports from Fortinet and confirmed that a legacy script on Seibertron.com had been exploited by third parties.

• Audited and removed outdated files
After a thorough scan of our codebase and forums, we located unused legacy scripts no longer necessary for current site functionality. These were removed from the live site, backups, local dev, and sister sites.

• Verified all internal references
We cross-checked all site files and database content to ensure there were no legitimate uses of these legacy scripts.

• Hardened server configuration
.htaccess rules were updated to explicitly block access to deprecated paths. Requests now return a 410 Gone status to signal permanent removal. Kremzeek strikes again! https://www.seibertron.com/errors/410-gone.php

• Launched a new custom 410 Gone error page
Built to match Seibertron’s themed error system, this page explains the legacy retirement with a splash of Kremzeek-fueled fun and brand flair.

• Verified cleanup in production
Tested malicious legacy URLs to ensure they now result in a properly branded 410 Gone message.

• Prepared for search engine cleanup
We’re initiating removal requests via Google Search Console to help eliminate outdated links from search results.

• Proactive security and modernization

The title bar with the victory scene from Rebirth pt III is pretty apropos. This redesign is on par with when you web 2.0'd it back in '06/07. I sure do miss the Rock the Vote for Character of the Month. Not to mention Prof. Smooth's Rumors and JHall's Rants, lol. And the late G1-era Boxart theme was awesome, too!

Yep I've been around for a looooooong time...

Man, seeing your name pop up always hits like a blast of G1 nostalgia and a shot of espresso at the same time.

Can you believe it’s been twenty-four years since the first Seibertron.com Big Broadcast? That little college con you pulled off in Michigan helped shape the early DNA of this site. We were building a fan empire out of forum posts, character bios, and cobbled-together banner ads — and somehow we’re still rolling out.

And yeah… I miss that stuff too. Rock the Vote, Prof. Smooth, JHall’s glorious rants. It was chaotic, passionate, unfiltered — everything a true fan-built site should be. But the Silver Age is coming, and it’s bringing the soul of those classics with it. The goal is to recapture that magic — only now with better tech, stronger tools, and a little less HTML trauma.

Glad you’re still here, Ultra Magnus. Your spark’s always been part of this place.

Continuous improvements are underway as we lock down vulnerabilities and polish the search presence for the Silver Age of Seibertron.com.

Two things:

1) Don't make any drastic changes to the forum structure. Newest posts at the bottom feels more natural for reading, I really hate having new posts at the top or threads that branch off and people drop out of the conversation.

2) Update the news back end. Nothing drastic, but there's some vestigial things in there we don't use any more. Categories could use cleaning up, too. We have two categories for unlicensed stuff even though we don't post that any more, one for the Collector's Club which has been long defunct and never coming back, but mostly it could stand to be reorganized, there's no real order to it.

There are notifications on the forums, but they're done in an older style than modern day with popovers with number notifications like on modern UI interfaces. Sabrblade and others might be able to help point out what you should look for. I think he uses those features for in-forum notifications. I never really do and am looking forward to rolling out modern UI and social media-like features in our forums.

To those wondering: yes, I believe forum posts should always start oldest first and work through pagination to get to the newest post. There will be links and such to hop to the newest post. Or maybe that is just another option all of you will be able to have so you can sort by newest or oldest. It's a simple toggle in the database so I don't see why I can't just give you guys that option based on your own personal preferences.

I'm not fussy on the naming.

I'm happy to see this site is going through some renovations, especially since I feared it would be barren now than it was a decade ago. I'm looking back at some of the older posts that used to be around from the start of the new millennium and the way things used to be done back then compared to the 2010s and the 2020s is night and day. Pretty crazy to see how far it goes.

Not really sure if this counts as proper ideas for the site's redesign, but I hope to see the news be more up to date, at least as close to other fan sites. I also hope to see more things like third party figure news and toy galleries like in the past (those could at least be easy with donated or borrowed figures if the site owner doesn't want them for too long).

I also hope to see news reports be less like something you'd find someone make for a specific part of a forum. Like that post regarding Stephen King or what's his face saying he didn't like the 2007 Transformers movie (possibly made as "news" in some vague attempt at Bayverse bashing on its 15th anniversary of all events). If it was something posted in the movie-related forum, it'd make sense; otherwise, it'll scream nothing but "slow news day" on top of it being nothing major like an unexpected toy reveal, who's writing the next TV show, or if Josh Cooley was somehow caught doing something scummy.

With all that said, I look forward to seeing the changes of the site in the near future.

One of the core changes we've been working on is fundamentally rethinking how community content works across the site. The goal? Shift from a top-down, staff-only model to something that empowers everyone.

In short: the forums as we know them are done.

We’re aiming for something more modern and dynamic — imagine a fusion of social media (like Reddit or Facebook groups) with the structure of a traditional forum. That means:

• Upvoting and ranking systems to let the best content float to the top — not just based on post date or who submitted it
• Community-submitted news, galleries, sightings, etc., where you help shape what’s visible
• A reputation or ranking system to highlight helpful or consistent contributors
• Robot Points — earn rewards for posting, upvotes, news tips, and more. Points can be redeemed for account upgrades, exclusive features, or coupons in the Seibertron Store
• Streamlined topic tagging, better media embeds, and more responsive layouts across all devices
• And yes, more timely, curated, and relevant news coverage — less filler, more killer

Sky’s the limit right now — so if you (or anyone reading this) have ideas, examples, or even “what if” suggestions for what this future could look like, bring ’em on. Now’s the time to reformat.

I need to see the actual url that is in tge code that you are clicking on. I'm assuming something is wrong with the anchor tag (#) that you see in the url.

Can you right mouse click, copy and paste the url from the link you are clicking? Don't click on the link and copy that url (it might be a redirected url). I would, but your post seems to have woken it up or whatever, it's normal now. I did come here from an email instead of within the forum so maybe that's why? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If it happens again I'll be sure to get a link for you.

That sounds like a caching issue with your browser for some reason. If you force a refresh in your browser, that issue should resolve. You might need to do that every time. Not f5 but shift f5 to force tge refresh. I think that's how you do it. It's so instinctive for me on a desktop or laptop environment that i have to be at my keyboard to see what I do. If you need instructions just let me know.
