It also helps that they're limited-edition exclusives and - to my knowledge - only really bought by fans. I mean, look at the scramble to try and get Groove; I doubt some parent's gonna go through that trouble for him when they could just walk into a store and get RiD Thunderhoof or TR Hardhead or something. So even if you go by "Well combiner wars is over", fans who want Blast Off will likely have already gotten Bruticus components anyway or at least some random CW stuff.

I held my breath for Hasbro's deluxe groove, since I had a gut instinct it was coming. I am not holding my breath for anymore maymayhem CW toys of toys released this year.

The only Japanese released figures Hasbro has released for May Mayhem were ones that were originally replaced by new Deluxe characters. Hasbro already has their own Deluxe Blastoff, they aren't going to replace him with another Deluxe Blastoff, same goes for any of the Technobots.

Yes. So sad.

By the way, can Victorion hold her sword with just her fingers, or does she have to use the peg that goes through her palm? I want it to look as natural as possible if I were to get her.

There's no intended mechanism to keep it within her fingers aside from the peg (no MP-esque grooves or anything), but I just tried it out and it actually keeps there fine with some friction! Just close the fingers over it as much as you can and it doesn't really come out. Thanks for bringing this up actually because it looks really nice.

More confirmation of the natural sword wielding here. She has a pretty good grip. It's been my preferred method of display. Also gave her evasion mode Prime's gun until I pick up Wreck Gar. She holds that well with her fingers too if you can find clearance.

Talking of giving her a gun, I tried the Rust Dust method you showed yesterday. Works like a charm ;)^

Still doesn't say Liokaiser to me but it's still a very cool looking set and I'll be glad to own it.

I want this because I need more cons and what better way to fill the ranks than with a gestalt team? But I'm not sure I can justify getting it, unless I wait awhile and it goes on sale or clearance. I'm not very familiar with the characters either, but I do like those head sculpts. Looks like a good set, but I might have to pull a Victorion and call it a pass until a deal that's too good to be true pops up.

Do Platinums traditionally go up or down in value though?... The only ones I've ever seen at retail were the Insecticons at K-Mart which were ridiculously overpriced at $80, then the store did its closing thing, and I watched the price keep dropping, eventually they were $32 (at 60% off), and I still didn't think it was worth it, but a friend of mine bought the stores remaining inventory (like 5 or 6 of them). I'm just not into the Insecticons, in fact no platinum release to date has really stood out to me except Trypticon, but with a new titan release coming out next year, I've decided to pass on that as well.

If all signs point to Liokaiser being limited, I will get it ASAP. If all signs point to LioKaiser being produced in mass quantities, then I may wait.

From what I've seen, Platinums always seem to go down. At the very least you'll find them reduced online within... hm, not sure how long it takes actually. I'll guess six months?
