While a lot of Canadians are waiting for a Origins Bumblebee to arrive at Toysrus, we have other Buzzworthy Bumblebee toys that arrived before it. That being the 3 two packs which Hasbro still has not revealed, we don't even have stock photos of these. They are Bumblebee vs Dropkick, Bumblebee vs Stinger and Bumblebee vs Barricade. All three have Bumblebee in the body he had when he first met these antagonists. This was sighted by me at a Toysrus in Montreal, Qc.
Winners is kicking it up a notch with Transformers. We had reported on Skylynx and now they have Generations Selects deluxe Hot House. That toy is priced at $20 CAD (about $15 USD). Generations selects toys are rarely seen at retail so finding one at a Market Six store like Winners (Canada's TJMaxx) was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
So lots of news to get through on this Target find. A new case of Transformers product was found at Target and inside it were four boxes of four packs (as it says on the case). We then got images of three of the boxes found inside. They are all repacks of Studio Series figures and those figures are:
SS27 Clunker Bumblebee vs SS28 Barricade
SS18 VW Bumblebee vs SS46 Car Dropkick
SS79 High Octane Bumblebee vs SS02 Stinger
These represent the first time these characters met, which reminds us that Bumblebee was in his High Octane mode when he first saw Stinger.
Speaking of which, the SS79 High Octane Bumblebee is the same toy we got in Age of Extinction and thus this tells us that the Studio Series 79 toy will simply be that toy rerelerased. Many AOE toys did end up in the "Premier Edition" Transformers TLK line which in turn has been grouped into the Studio Series line (with Cogman and Drift getting no mold changes). Does that mean we probably won't get a new mold for Crosshairs or Bugatti Drift? Don't know. All the images were posted by TFW2005.
At the tail end of April, several fans found the new Authentics bravo class Barricade in the US at Dollar General. That's been the main place to buy these toys. If you saw him and were wondering if he was good, well fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg made a review. This Barricade is based on the evergreen design which adapts the TLK movie design into a more "G1" style.

Here's another US sighting for new Transformers toys. The third was of deluxes from the Transformers Netflix line is out. They ere found at a Walmart in New Jersey. The fun finding was posted on the Cybertron Cafe Facebook group. What's fun is that in this world of leaks and online announcements, we still did not know the exact names of these figures nor if the rumoured Deep Cover was confirmed to come nor how it would look like. Well, now we do. This wave is made up of Cheetor, in slightly different colours than the mainline version, Sparkless Bot, using the Smokescreen/Barricade mold, Quintesson Desseus Army Drone, using the Ironhide mold and begging to be used as an army builder, and Deep Cover in a blue redeco. His colours are reversed where what is black on the Selects toy is now blue and vice versa. He also sports battle damage.
The Netflix Transformers voyager toys are the only toys from wave 2 that have yet to be found in the US. However, they may be coming soon since they have been found just north of the border, in Canada. Those are Optimus Prime and Soundwave (who is an exclusive retool that turns into a tape deck). They were found in BC and Alberta. The news was first posted on Cybertron.ca.
Fellow Seibertronian JTPrime has uncovered new listings for the Netflix Transformers toys. We already knew of a third wave which includes Cheetor and Barricade but now we know which voyagers. And they are.... Optimus Primal and a Seeker. The specific names are given below. While on the topic of Walmart exclusive transformers, we now also have listings for the remaining retro headmaster releases Wierdwolf, Highbrow and Skullcruncher.

TRA GEN WFC N Battlefield Voyager Seeker

Right as the 4th quarter of the year begins, the 4th wave of deluxes from Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege arrive at US retail. Fellow Seibertronian O.Supreme found Impactor (Marvel UK version) at Target in Sacramento. There are sightings from several places in the US, all from today. It is $19.99.
o.supreme wrote:Well...lookie what I found at my local Target. Others have reported online before me today, but I think this is a first, seeing something the same day as someone else's first time sighting. No Mirage or Barricade. I think a scalper must have gotten pretty much all the others. not sure why they left one Impactor behind but oh well...Neat to see.
Canada is making up for a dry spell with Transformers sightings that lasted half the year. They are now the first country in the west to have Transformers War for Cybertron Siege deluxe Mirage, Impactor and Barricade. Those were found in a Walmart in Scarborough. The sighting comes from Primetyme who posted it in the Cybertron.ca forums.
This is not the only new Siege sighting in Canada. At Walmarts across the nation we can now find the wave of Battle Masters that includes Smashdown and the latest Micromasters with Powertrain and Highjump. Even Thundercracker was spotted in an Ontario Walmart as KIDCHUCKLE pointed out in the same forums.
When it comes to Studio Series, the voyagers Long Haul and KSI Boss were found at Walmart and leader DOTM Optimus Prime is now shipping from amazon.ca. This makes Canada up to date on all Siege toys before the final wave and all the Studio Series toys of 2019.
There is a lot going on in Australia as far as Transformers sightings go. For starters, it is the first place to get the Cyberverse Spark Armour Ark Power Optimus Prime. It is exclusive to Big W stores.
You can see it in this image below along with other cool toys now at mass retail in Australia, like the Siege wave 2 deluxes and Studio Series wave 6 deluxes.
Plus, Big W got the MPM stock from Toysrus, so you can get MPM Barricade and Bumblebee there. And on thursday, they are on sale. You can see more info on the sale below.
Speaking of Toysrus, the online store has been bought and reopened under a new owner, but the only Transformers stock is leftover from 2-3 years ago. You can still visit it here. We hope it will be the destination for current toys going forward but there is no word on that being the case with Transformers yet.
Australia also got the wave 3 Siege deluxes (the Reflector wave) AND Battlemasters at Toyworld, a collectable store.
Lastly, Studio Series voyager Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime and Rampage were found at Target, this is the first sighting of new voyagers in the Studio Series line since the year began.
It took a looooooooong time for Canada to catch up to the US for the Studio Series and Siege line but that has changed the past month. Here is a rundown of sightings from the past month:
Studio Series Deluxe wave with Clunker Bee, Sideswipe and Barricade at Walmart
Studio Series Deluxe wave with Scrap Metal and Shatter at Toysrus
Studio Series Voyager wave with Bumblebee Optimus and Rampage at Walmart
Siege Deluxe wave 2 at EB Games
Siege Voyager wave 2 at EB Games
All deluxes are $30 while voyagers are $40.
Walmarts have also been getting the Generations Cyber Battalion Jetfire, Sideswipe, Prowl and Shockwave toys. These are Walmart exclusive in Canada and $20 a piece.
Walmarts have also updated their toy aisle to include an Easter/Spring themed Hasbro display which feature Transformers among their other brands.
