Seibertron.com member Optimutt has just informed us of some recent rumors that have, apparently, been put to rest concerning Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen Scribes Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
According to his post, Orci and Kurtzman will not be returning for the third installment of the Transformers movie franchise. Mr. Orci has
hinted in the past that the two writers would not be returning for the film, but this seems to be a definitive answer about them and the third film. Here's what he had to report:
Recently on the Don Murphy Message Board, Roberto Orci, one half of the dynamic duo that brought us the stories for the first two Transformers movies, confirmed that he and his partner, Alex Kurtzman, will not be scripting Transformers 3. Ehren Kruger, brought on to help out with "Revenge of the Fallen", however, will remain to write the script.
When asked about Kruger's ability to write the story, Orci showed nothing but support, citing that "he really [does] his homework."
Orci implied that he and Kurtzman are hard at work on penning a sequel to their excellent re-imagining of the Star Trek movie franchise.
Elsewhere on the boards, Orci also displays what might possibly be embarrassment concerning Michael Bay's adaptation and what some might call "perversion" of Orci and Kurtzman's original TF2 script.

Fellow Transformers fansite
Allspark.com has posted an ongoing discussion about the Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac that we've reported on, here at Seibertron.com, on several occasions.
In the discussion, Jim Sorenson was kind enough to answer a board members question regarding the possibility of more Transformers Animated content. Here's the Q & A:
HellCat - So how well would this need to sell to get us a follow up and possibly more Animated goodness?
Jim S. - That's a good question. I don't know if there is a magic number, above which the answer is yes, below which the answer is no. The best strategy is to buy one for yourself, advocate to people who might be interested, and above all make some noise. Let IDW and Hasbro know that you like the book by posting on their forum or publishing an amazon review - preferably both. Bill and I (and Marty and Derrick) are super-keen to do the follow-up volume and finish out season 3. I know Marty is itching to do a virtual season 4 in comic book form too. Right now, TPTB will be looking at this volume as a bellwether.
Well Animated fans, you heard the man. The Allspark Almanac is sure to be a treat for fans of the newest TF Cartoon franchise, and if you want more, make sure your voice is heard.

Real Devastator has received word from a reliable friend from Hong Kong that informed him the toy merchants in China are currently taking pre-orders for a repaint of Universe Galvatron, although no colour scheme was mentioned. Another figure they are looking at is a chromed version of ROTF Ravage.
This is a
rumour only as there aren't any images available, so take this as a pinch (or several pinches) of salt.

A
blu-ray.com forum member has found a poster in an FYE store that confirms the release date of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DVD and Blu-Ray will be October 20th 2009.
There has yet to be an official statement by the manufacturer however, so that is still subject to change. See the original post

Wasting absolutely no time after
yesterday's news that a black, eHobby variant of Masterpiece Convoy, the Nemesis/Scourge homage, would be released in the first quarter of 2010, third party toy maker iGear has posted a color test, Photoshopped image to their blog of what apparently is being considered as repaint of their upcoming TF0004 Trailer. Since there's no release date or pricing yet for their original trailer, it's unclear whether iGear has serious plans to release this update or their just soliciting feedback from fans before making their final decision.

Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more information about this iGear piece and for all the latest Transformers news!
EDIT: Apologies to our own Real Devastator for the earlier post on this. He's now been credited as a source for this story.

GenZhao at KO Toys, has recently got his hands on something a little strange. As you may (or may not) know, a blue
Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Soundwave figure is to be sold in the Meeting at Nemesis three pack, revealed at Botcon this year. If you
click here, we can see the Soundwave figure packaged entirely by itself.
GenZhao also writes this in his posting:
Here is a picture of a MOSC ROTF BLUE SOUNDWAVE TRU EXCLUSIVE, it is on a regular soundwave card (the picture of soundwave on the back is not the blue soundwave but the original grey soundwave)
It's recommended you take this with a grain of salt, as it could be anything from a pre-production mistake, to an actual release seen in some part of the world.

According to a post by TFW2005.com member Alienbot,
Empire Magazine will be featuring a piece on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Director Michael Bay in its September 2009 issue.
Michael Bay was quoted in the post as saying this about the possible introduction of the Dinobots for Transformers 3:
"They've never been discussed [for inclusion]" stated Bay. "I don't like them. Actually, I hate them."
Could the director of the 10th most domestically grossing film in movie history be throwing us an early "misinformation" loop well before production of the third film begins? Let us know what you think by clicking

Still going strong in theatres across the globe, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is looking to be just as big as it was on IMAX on home television screens also.
Director Michael Bay is planning on doing the IMAX frame filling transfers that lets viewers see top to bottom for the upcoming Blu Ray release of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
"We're going to do a special IMAX SKU," said Bay, "where it'll open up for those scenes. You can see top to bottom."
engagdetHD has the scoop on this new information and is looking for your response on the idea.
Think this is a good idea? Think this may not work for small screens at home? Let us know by clicking
