Fellow TF fansite TFormers has managed to get an exclusive round table discussion with the minds and faces behind Transformers Revenge of The Fallen.
In the discussion they talk about voice-acting and the contents of the upcoming home video releases of the movie, like a game that lets you create your own Transformer. The group also claims that among the DVD contents will be an 'easter egg' in the form of a video featuring director Michael Bay. This video claims to be a bit of a spoiler for the next installment of the Transformers movie franchise, a very large rumor generator, if you will.
If you want to know the next rumor for Transformers 3 (the first was that Megan Fox's character Mikaela would be killed off in the third movie) then scroll the the very bottom of this article.

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!************************
Rumor:
The Michael Bay video claims that none other than the planet devouring giant, Unicron will play a role in Transformers 3!
As this is an unconfirmed rumor we advise you to take it with a grain of salt.

In a bit of news that slipped under the radar, Trevor Hutchison posted his cover version to the new IDW Transformers series 'The Last Stand of the Wreckers' and Chris Ryall shared two pages of the interior art, depicting none other than fan-favorite Masterforce baddie, Overlord!
You can see Trevor Hutchison's art at his
deviantart page, and you can see more at
Chris Ryall's blog. Yes, this is older news, but looking back, it did get missed, and is of interest to us in the Transformers comic book community.
'Last Stand of the Wreckers' is due out in Jaunary 2010 by Nick Roche.

We recently
reported that the soundtrack to the 1986 animated Transformers movie was named one of the Top 10 Sci-Fi soundtracks of all-time by Totalscifionline.com
The highlight of that album for many has always been the iconic rock anthem "The Touch" by Stan Bush. Totalscifionline.com recently took some time to interview Stan about not only making the list, but many other topics as well.
Here is an excerpt.
Were you commissioned to write 'The Touch' for Transformers the Movie, or did the song exist before then?
We actually wrote ‘The Touch’ for the Stallone move Cobra, but the record label ended up getting the song in Transformers: The Movie. I remember initially thinking it was just some cartoon movie, but little did I know it would become such a phenomenon.
What did you make of the movie and the use of your song in it?
It was very cool. I attended the screening and met some of the people who worked on the movie. It was great how they featured 'The Touch' in the crucial moments in the film.
Did you get to meet any of the cast, such as Orson Welles?
I met Weird Al Yankovic [who also featured on the soundtrack]. He was on the same record label, and we met at an industry party. I also met Greg Berger [Grimlock] and Peter Cullen [Optimus Prime].

Seibertron.com member Optimutt has just informed us of some recent rumors that have, apparently, been put to rest concerning Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen Scribes Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
According to his post, Orci and Kurtzman will not be returning for the third installment of the Transformers movie franchise. Mr. Orci has
hinted in the past that the two writers would not be returning for the film, but this seems to be a definitive answer about them and the third film. Here's what he had to report:
Recently on the Don Murphy Message Board, Roberto Orci, one half of the dynamic duo that brought us the stories for the first two Transformers movies, confirmed that he and his partner, Alex Kurtzman, will not be scripting Transformers 3. Ehren Kruger, brought on to help out with "Revenge of the Fallen", however, will remain to write the script.
When asked about Kruger's ability to write the story, Orci showed nothing but support, citing that "he really [does] his homework."
Orci implied that he and Kurtzman are hard at work on penning a sequel to their excellent re-imagining of the Star Trek movie franchise.
Elsewhere on the boards, Orci also displays what might possibly be embarrassment concerning Michael Bay's adaptation and what some might call "perversion" of Orci and Kurtzman's original TF2 script.

Megan Fox hosted tonight's premiere of the 35th season of
Saturday Night Live earlier this evening on NBC (featuring musical guest U2). There were several minor references to the Transformers films throughout tonight's SNL show.
The biggest reference was one of the skits that aired toward the end of the show after the Weekend Update. In the digital shorts skit, Megan Fox's character brings home a date (Andy Samberg) for a movie night. Once their in her apartment, she introduces her date to her roommate "Optimus". Later in the skit, Megan Fox's long time boyfriend, Brian Austin Green, makes a surprise appearance as Bumblebee who has a "brief" (nude?) showdown against Optimus.
Both Optimus and Bumblebee were merely men wearing the respective role playing electronic masks from Hasbro's Transformers Revenge of the Fallen line.
The skit made use of the transforming sound from the live action films as well as the theme song from the first season of the original animated series.
SNL should post this skit on their website later this week in their
Digital Shorts section.
